I needed an oil change and a air filter change. It was done quick, and efficiently. No over pricing or trying to do things that didn't need to be done. Check in & out was quick and smooth. Young nice man ( with braids can't rememberhis name) help me out and explained what was going to be done clearly and answered all my questions I had with no hesitation. I've had three different experiences here at this Jiffy Lube on Cedar Avenue. Steve, Salvador and the whole entire crew there rocks! I learned something every time about my car when I get serviced at this station. As an older female , I don't really know what I am getting into as far as "how much " the service is worth and "what kind "of service you "really need "- in my past experiences at OTHER places. However, I feel very confident that these guys are always honest with me and treat me fair. Basically these guys are not only professional and give EXCELLENT service, they're always super busy! so that says a lot about this business. Very poor customer service. I went in for a vehicle inspection, which only takes about 5 minutes and costs $50. Instead, I was left waiting for over 30 minutes while they continued serving other customers without even starting on my car. Worst experience at a Jiffy Lube ever. Came in to have windshield wipers on and paid over $50 for them. After a few days I noticed that they were two different windshield wipers so I brought back my vehicle to Jiffy Lube. They told me they wont't change the windshield wipers. The manager mentioned that he accidentally ordered wrong windshield wipers, but refused to correct their own mistake. I would give them zero for customer service. VERY DISHONEST BUSINESS! Steer Clear. Apparently not only has their prices changed since our last visit by nearly double, but so has their business practice. After specifically asking for the same oil change as the previous visit, these guys snuck in a $20 "upgrade" on the oil, from the original Gold to what they call Platinum. The difference being that their "platinum" is "DEXOS 1", which is ACTUALLY "Specifically Designed for GM Vehicles", by General Motors.... we have a Hyundai and even though many people are being brainwashed that the more fancy your synthetic is... the better it must be for your vehicle... it's all just a bunch of BS. Regardless, this is NOT the same oil change we received the prior visit, **as requested**. I called in to hash this out with the manager and he tried talking to me like I was an idiot. He said, "we get this all the time, women go home to their husbands and when they see the bill, they come in disputing the charges". Well let's think about that for a second... why is this happening "All The Time"??!! Maybe you should be a little bit more transparent and less snakey withy your business practices! I told him that he was taking advantage of a female with what he was doing and that he needed to refund the extra charges to our credit card because that was their "mistake". He told me that he could do this if we came back in with the card we used but I argued that it was unreasonable for him to expect me to waste my time over a $20 charge they had incorrectly added on our service and that he needed to figure out how to refund it without me coming in. The agreement was that the manage would call in to corporate to make the refund on Monday. Well... Monday has come and gone and now we are more than a month after the incident without a refund. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! More details: Came in here on a Saturday afternoon to get an oil change. After waiting 30-45 minutes, one of the techs comes back and goes down a list of items they want to up-sell. Wipers, brake pads, license plate light, headlight restoration, tire rotation. They were referencing the previous visit and said because the air filters were replaced then, they didn't need to be replaced now. I'm only guessing here, but I bet if they didn't have the previous work order, they would have tried to sell those items as well. After declining all the extras, my female companion requested that all she wanted was the same thing she had made the visit for, an oil change, the same one she received at her prior visit. After about 10 minutes, the service was done! Bill total for an oil change on a small 4 cylinder car, came out to $100!! The total WAS conveyed to her before approving the oil change, but only after waiting 30 minutes to get an update on their "free inspection". An inspection which was NEVER approved or discussed when she handed her keys over to the technician. Even though she was informed of the bill, it was only assumed it was for the same price and service as before, since that's what she asked for. After I heard about the price for an oil change on a small 4 cylinder vehicle, I checked her paperwork to find out they had charged her for the more expensive oil. read more

It's been more than two years since I've visited a JiffyLube (see my earlier review), but MJ needed an oil change and I was at work, and I knew it would bother her, so the expedient thing was to send her to JL. I can see it not only hasn't improved, things have gotten noticeably worse. Not only dis she wait well over an hour (hardly a jiffy) arefill with synthetic was almost $100! Horrible experience. I came here to get an oil change before driving from the Bay to LA. After waiting forty five minutes to get an oil change, I asked them if they could check everything in my car and specifically my tires to make sure everything is in good shape before I made the 6 hour trip. I was informed that everything was in tip top shape and ready to go. I broke down two hours into the drive. My car started shaking and I was in the middle of no where at 12AM. Stepped out of my vehicle and saw that the wires of my tire were sticking out & that my tires were balding this whole time! I love the men here! They are very professional. I come here for an oil change every 3-4 months and they are quick, clean, honest, and aren't disrespectful. They also show you the issue if there is one with your car instead of trying to sell you the repair. For example, my air filter was disgusting. The gentleman showed me the filter before replacing it without my knowledge. I drove a 2007 Volkswagen GTI, the Fahrenheit edition for 8 years. This place is better than going to the dealership to get your regular wear and tear repairs done. Now I have a 2021 Subaru BRZ and I trust them with my regular maintenance repairs. read more

I usually have a good experience at Jiffy Lube but not at this one. The room was full when I got there, but an HOUR later, everyone had left, one new guy came in, (they offered coffee to him but there WAS NO COFFEE.) Still, my car was sitting there, hood open, no one working on it. They had time to take out all the air filters and show me how dirty they were, but not to change my oil. Finally I complained and said I am very late, and what's going on. They finally finished and didn't apologize. I told them I would give them terrible reviews on the survey they send afterwards. I had been to Jiffylube on jarvis ave, newark, ca for an oil change. My experience here is very bad. Oil change price was very high. I usually get it done at walmart auto care center. I didn't have enough time so i had to go here. During the service, team suggested i get other additional services done. I didn't go through with them. After 15 mins, i was called to pay and pick my car. After payment i went to the car, they have not finished the work properly. They have left the cabin filter on the car seat and glove box on the floor on the passenger side. My wife took our Prius to get the Signature Service Oil Change. They were busy and never washed the exterior windows. They badgered her to get the air filter changed after she told them it was fine. They treated her like she didn't know anything about the car. I track and monitor all work on all my vehicles and my wife is well informed on what is needing replacement. After complaining to me about her experience I go out to the garage and check to see what they did. I pop the hood and see a Jiffy Lube wrench on my radiator.(see picture below) I then took the car back to the shop and talked to the manager who had a very flippant attitude. They admitted it was their wrench and laughed, then thanked me for returning it. I asked for a half price oil change next time I come in and they said No! Use the $16 online coupon!
