I am only putting four out of five stars for now just because I haven't had a chance to really try out the services here however based on my last-minute walk-in situation for my tires having low tire pressure and other warning lights turned on I was pretty scared and wasn't really sure what to do and when I came here- Henry was very nice and did a lot of explaining as well as teaching me all the different things I needed to know regarding the lights and my tires. If and when I need to maybe do some more services on my car and I'd come here. When I do then I'll update my review with more accuracy as time goes on. Henry does know how to speak Mandarin as well as English. I'm not sure if he knows how to speak in Cantonese - I don't think he does. Got an oil change. It was efficiently done and they also checked fluid levels and tires. Found a small nail in one and fixed it without charge. Added air to tires. Down to earth person and I felt I could trust them for their professional opinion. I usually get oil changes at the dealership, but the 'service advisors' always, always try to upsell and are a little pushy about it. Did not have that issue here! He had a few suggestions and explained his reasoning, but it was a conversation and not an attempt to persuade me to do something. Will be back for my next oil change! read more

One word, or actually one name that will get you into the door here. BOB. I brought my Hunny Bunny's car here for a tune up, mainly some fluid top offs, some flushes, oil change, that kinda thing. We were under the impression that his transmission fluid had not been changed for the last 50k. I brought the car into Auto Pacific thinking we would need that changed in addition to power steering fluid, coolant.. etc Bob did a quick check on Cammie and the tranny fluid was still good! Cherry red! He told me that it didn't even need to be changed. I think during another service elsewhere on of our packaged deals may have covered that. We ended up just needing an oil change and some coolant. The first honest shop/mechanic I have ever dealt with. I actually have many countless experiences here, but this was just my latest one. I bring Lexi here for her regular oil changes and even my last major tune up. My entire office comes here to get oil changes , tune ups, and we can really trust we will not be over sold on any maintenance. Background info: "I found a Good Mechanic / Auto Shop" that is what I have thought initially and was not skeptical about them until the following happened... I moved out of CA in Nov 11 and in APR 12 moved back CA... Before I used to go to this place for all my auto needs because thought that this was a good place with a honest staff and was getting worth of every penny... Problem : Once I had moved back to California, I had them do an Oil Change. That is when the problem started. An important indicator on my dashboard stared to blink. When I asked them about it, I was told "Drop your car off on a Thursday night and you can pickup your car by noon on Friday" and since I and my wife work and using 1 car for commute in and around the Bay Area is horrible, since this place does not lend loaners neither they dropped me at my house which was not even quarter mile away. This happened more than 3 times. Solution: I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE NEITHER MY FRIENDS TO THIS PLACE...!!! read more

I go here all the time for my routine oil change. They're always fast, efficient and flexible with scheduling. I recently just came here to do my first big auto maintenance/check up. They replaced my filters, liquids/oil, did a thorough check up and summarized my check up including suggested parts replacements, etc. I will definitely continue to come here for future oil changes and future maintenance needs. read more

My friend recommended this place to me. Henry is a nice person, so I would go to him for my oil change. The last time I went he forgot to put the oil cap back on, I drove away to only realize that something was wrong as soon as I got to my job that's about 40 min away. I called him, and let him know, he said he would refund the oil change as well as the other costs that I had to pay, which were the oil cap, more oil, and cleaning supplies to clean up the mess. Later when I requested a refund he declined. Will not go there again. read more

I change my oil and does car maintenance here regularly. The owners are hard working people, both Bob and Henry are friendly, honest and down to earth. They always looked out for me, when I get oil change they would check my break pads, tire pressure etc. always making sure I have a safe drive. The price is pretty affordable for how fast they get it done，I usually get in and out of there within 20 minutes for oil change. When I had to drop off my car for a day, they would offer to drive me to work sometimes even allow me to use their car. I have been a long time customer, and I'm so glad I have had Bob and Henry as my mechanic. i got a quote from an auto shop near my work in redwood city. i was told the break pads need to be replaced and quoted me around $350.00. then i found this this shop near my home. mr. tang was very nice, he told me to drop it off and will have it done in one hour. 30 mins later, mr. tang called me, so i returned to his shop. he said the break pads are still in good conditions. i don't need to replace them for another year. wow....he saved me lots of money. i wanted to pay him cuz he did spend time on it. but he refused it. i strongly think i need to pay him, so i paid him $20.00 to thank him for his time. next time if i need to repair my car, i would only go to mr. tang. again, thank you mr. tang ^_^ read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. THE WORST shop I ever been to. My car has no major problem at all since I got it four years ago. The guy in the shop told me to save a whole day and do a general diagnostic when I did oil change there (they only have the cheapest grade of engine oil there), since I haven't do it over the 4 years. I take a day off from work, and give them my car at 8:00 am. However, they did no shit until I call them at 5:00 pm and say I am coming to pickup my car. It cost me $200 for it, when other cost less than $100. The worst thing is, my car start not working right when I driving it to work on the next day, and the engine stop working in the middle of the road in the next week. I end up calling road service, and replacing the fuel pump for another $700. I think they f**k up my car on purpose, so that I have to come and fix it and give them more money. Things does not work that way. This is a Chinese auto repair shop, although I am a Chinese too and I usually like to go to Chinese shop, I just do not recommend this place. Bad service, bad attitude, not professional, cost you a lot of money for f**k up you car. read more

My Family has been coming here for years. My cousins my boyfriend my aunties my grandma all come here. They do a terrific job for a very decent price. It's hard to find a good mechanic and I've found them. I used to go to another mechanic who really Ripped me off. However these people are super honest and do the job for very good price. I now live in the East Bay however I drive over 40 minutes to come here to each time just to change my oil and to have them look at my car. I highly recommend this place. Because they charge a very good price it's also very busy and super packed. That's the only part that's hard to work with but if you come early they always make time for you. read more

This is the only honest mechanic I have ever run into. 2 days ago, I went to Dublin Toyota dealer to get a recall fix on spare tire holder cable. The dealer made up a story and cheat that there is a "rack and pinion leak" on my minivan and asked for 14k to repair that. Based on my previous experience, I say no to Dublin Toyota dealer and took my minivan to Auto Pacific to do the repair. We have agreed to pay the "Rack & pinion" replacement. This morning, I got a call from Auto Pacific and I am told there is no leak at all. From now on, if anything on my car, no more Toyota dealer. The only place I would go is Auto Pacific. read more

Ok so heres my car's problem, my car was overheated last week, and the problem is the theres a pipe connecting the radiator and engine leak, which is a small problem. My friends dad recommend me to go there and the chinese guy name BOB, he told me 250 sth to change the pipe, oil change and the A/C, so I think its a good deal and I leave him the car. After I get my car back, the A/C wasnt any cooler, and in some weird way, its warmer... one day later, my car was freaking shut down and smoke came out all the way, I gotta let the cop to push ny car out of the way, coz I causing some traffic.. I bring my car to other shop, they figure out, pacific auto repair put used staff, my pipe is basically the same old pipe I used to have, and my head gasket was srewed up becoz of overheating too many times, I paid 1100 for changing all of them, and the worse is I cant even sue them. Please dun go to Pacific, if they know u dun understand cars, they will put cheap staff, used old staff, and worse ( this happens to my friend) they change the parts in ur car, and cause some problem, then u will come back to them, I am not lying, this really happened. And I started to think maybe they do that on my car too, JUST DUN GO THERE UNLESS U WANNA PAID EXTRA THOUSANDS! read more

I had suspension repair done there recently. The mechanic forgot to tighten the three strut bolts mounts. It was hanging loose while I drove for two weeks. I finally found the cause and tighten the bolts myself. This type of mistake can cause major injury, my suspension could of fallen off on the highway. read more

To me this is the place to go when something's wrong with my car. Three years ago my car couldn't start when the engine was warm/hot (it started fine when engine was cold). I took it to a body shop that kept my car for 2 days, charged $40 for diagnosis and didn't identify the issue. Then my neighbor gave me the number of Auto Pacific who fixed my car by replacing a field pump. Last year, the check engine light on my car lighted up. Another body shop closer to my house replaced 6 spark plugs for $120. It was a temporary fix that lasted only 7 days. Again I took my car to Auto Pacific. They somehow fixed it for me, very quickly, and didn't charge me a penny! I was very impressed. I highly recommend Bob and Henry to anyone who needs auto care. read more

Henry and Bob run this shop and have worked on all of my cars. They can service foreign and domestic cars and will do hard to find jobs like fixing door windows that won't roll up or down, radiators and lots of that kind of stuff. Every time I ask them if they can fix what I need they always say Yes. I like these guys because they do all of their own work and their prices are great. i want give 0 star，but only have one star here，to be honest，my friend and me used to come to there to fixing and do the serves,but i find it was sucks,there last time I come to there to fix,and then go to other shop to do serves, the worker help me check the car,then he found a very big problem,they use the old part to fix,and for the new part they used it is also not good,it is very cheap part,it can be used ,but very bad for your car,people just want to cheap sometimes,but they do not know what they will do on your car,for the cheap price,some shop do somethings on the part,the outside looks good，but after you opened，you will get a surprise，finally you need pay more to buy the new part,the shop where I go to, they give me all the receipt about the part which they changed，and it is very easy to check out the part is bad or good，for now i still keep the old part which they put on my car in my home，and i was really angry，i will tell all of my friend do not go to this shop！such a bad shop ，if you want you car can work a long time！ read more
