My daughter brought her car here for diagnostic work to figure out why her car wasn't starting. She dropped it off 2 weeks prior. And here we are 2 weeks later, nothing done & only because my daughter came back to ask status did she find out Mike, mechanic did absolutely NOTHING. When asked why it took 2 weeks to sit & do nothing, he states "we had other cars here." I replied, yes u ARE an auto mechanic shop so that is ur business. My concern was the lack of communication in the 2 weeks it was sitting here. I now question if original parts remain in the car & he stated yes. We had been having issues with the brakes for a while and I knew it was time to replace them but me being a procrastinator I put it off since were planning our wedding. We were out of town this weekend and you could just hear the screeching I knew there was something wrong with my rotors in front at least because they were grinding and screeching really bad. Called them on Monday morning at about 830 and Mike (the owner) said enthusiastically "Bring it down" my fiancé took our Kia down and He was like oh yeah you're definitely metal to metal, Showed us exactly what was wrong with it and how bad the scratches were and the rotors. Give a really reasonable quote and time frame & After agreeing he even gave us a ride back home. Couple of minutes later he called and said that he checked the back brakes and they were also ready to be changed. Gave me a good price. So I agreed to have all four brakes & pads plus front rotors done. When he called a little afternoon to let me know the work was complete I told him OK let me catch a lift or walk and he said "no way I'll pick you up". Definitely recommend this place. They rock. They will not try to rip you off quality service and what I mentioned to him that my son is looking for a car he told me that he sells cars that he fixes at himself and he guarantees them. I have been coming here for years and Mike (owner) is super honest, friendly, and helpful. I came here a few times for my older car and he took care of the problems at a very reasonable price. I have come back today after many years and he and his team still remember me. I'm in today to have them change my headlamp bulbs. I would have done it myself but I now have a Mazda 6 which requires way too much work to do it. I just dropped in with no appointment and they started to work on it right away. I had this one experience where my front headlights kept cutting on and off. I looked into the issue and my novice assumption was that it was a bad connection. Not quite sure how to repair it, I brought it to the dealership to get it fixed. I was told both the wiring and light housing needed to be replaced because the housing was cutting into the wiring. Parts and labor would be roughly 400$. I knew that was not the case when I inspected it prior and declined the repair. A friend recommended this place and brought my car the next day. After getting here, the mechanic looked into the issue, he said, "Don't waste your money on me. You can purchase the part needed for 8$ at Auto Zone and install it yourself. It'll only take 15 minutes." He proceeded to advise me on how to properly install the part and what to look out for. He then gave me the part number and told me to call him if I had any questions. I thanked him and left for Auto Zone. After purchasing the part, I went home and installed it. The next thing you know, the issue was resolved! I appreciated the mechanic's honesty and transparency in dealing with me. He was able to assure me the issue wasn't big, calmed my nerves and taught me something new! Mike and his team were amazing! Took Honda Civic in and he said he only needed a couple of hours and he'll take care of it. On my way out I was about to call an Uber but mike offered me a ride because he was on his way out!!! That is incredible. There was a set diagnostic fee but I guess my light wasn't that hard to fix and he was kind enough to not charge me the set diagnostic fee because it was such an easy fix. Now that I have found this place, I will never go anywhere else. I work for a large company nearby and Mike came highly recommended by several of my co-workers. I've taken my car in and shared my not so knowledgeable self diagnosis of probably needing rotors. Anyone else would have happily agreed and done the work but Mike replaced my brake pads and told me the rotors were fine. That was it, I was hooked. I received a flyer by hand providing info about One-Stop. That was 1998, and I have been a steady customer ever since. Have been through 3 shop managers and they have each gotten better than the previous. The name says it all in terms of being able to get any kind of auto repair/maintenance done at this shop. The current manager Mike Vann is capable, knowledgeable and honest. He tells me what work I need doing and what I don't need. He never "adds on" or misleads. It is rare to find a shop with the integrity and the expertise to provide true reliable service. I'm sorry to be leaving the area and hope to find such a shop where I am moving after 17 years of great relationship and superior, honest service. read more
