My daughter brought her car here for diagnostic work to figure out why her car wasn't starting. She dropped it off 2 weeks prior. And here we are 2 weeks later, nothing done & only because my daughter came back to ask status did she find out Mike, mechanic did absolutely NOTHING. When asked why it took 2 weeks to sit & do nothing, he states "we had other cars here." I replied, yes u ARE an auto mechanic shop so that is ur business. My concern was the lack of communication in the 2 weeks it was sitting here. I now question if original parts remain in the car & he stated yes. We did not pay but I would never return here for the lack of communication, thus customer service. read more

One Stop Auto Service - Prices that are transparent for all customers to see. - Auto Repair Near Me - Union City, California

When my minivan started showing signs of issues with the brakes, I knew I had to find a reputable mechanic to service them. Through much perusing, I finally decided on One Stop Auto Service. Mike and his team of mechanics are definitely one of the best. When I spoke to Mike over the phone, I described to him my issues and he said rather excitedly, "bring it over" usually when I call other shops they are either too busy or do not care to speak with you over the phone. With Mike, he not only listened to my concerns, he provided his best estimates regarding my vehicle. He did not try to upsell me anything, hide any fees, and was very honest with what was happening to my car. I have a 2011 Town Country with 80K+ miles.... while my brakes were truly on it's last legs, Mike was able to save me some money with a few recommendations. I was able to drop my vehicle off and with no hesitation at all, he drove me back to my residence since it was a mile or so away! Suffice to say, Mike and his team goes the extra mile to make sure your car is returned to it's prime working condition. I am grateful to have found someone like Mike's business who is so professional yet so personal with their services. If I could give him 10 stars I would. Thanks again Mike and One Stop Auto Service, you are truly 5 stars and beyond! read more

See all

I love Mike! I've been coming to him for over 5 years and will continue to do so (despite having moved to San Diego). He's transparent, reliable, and an overall great guy. There've been times where I thought I had an issue and he straight up told me there wasn't - very rare to find that quality in a mechanic nowadays. If you need some help with your car, give him a call! read more

I've been going to One Stop Auto Service for years now. Mike(Owner) has always treated me like family and never fails to do a great job. I've bought two cars from here, both in excellent condition. Extremely friendly with good conversation, this is definitely a company you can trust to be reliable with a good price. read more

One Stop Auto! Mike gives such great vibes once you step in the building. I have been bringing my car here for years for repairs and tune-up. He also points out what else is wrong with the vehicle and what needs to repaired. If I could give more than 5 stars it would be 100 stars! Thanks Mike again for your great service! read more

We had problems with the car starting and keeping it charged. Mike was able to determine that the battery was at fault. A new batter was installed as well as new cables. He also located a short in the interior lights. All is well. Only took 2 days to get the car back. read more

I have been coming here for years and Mike (owner) is super honest, friendly, and helpful. I came here a few times for my older car and he took care of the problems at a very reasonable price. I have come back today after many years and he and his team still remember me. I'm in today to have them change my headlamp bulbs. I would have done it myself but I now have a Mazda 6 which requires way too much work to do it. I just dropped in with no appointment and they started to work on it right away. I highly recommend coming here for all your auto repair needs. Thanks for everything guys! read more

We had been having issues with the brakes for a while and I knew it was time to replace them but me being a procrastinator I put it off since were planning our wedding. We were out of town this weekend and you could just hear the screeching I knew there was something wrong with my rotors in front at least because they were grinding and screeching really bad. Called them on Monday morning at about 830 and Mike (the owner) said enthusiastically "Bring it down" my fiancé took our Kia down and He was like oh yeah you're definitely metal to metal, Showed us exactly what was wrong with it and how bad the scratches were and the rotors. Give a really reasonable quote and time frame & After agreeing he even gave us a ride back home. Couple of minutes later he called and said that he checked the back brakes and they were also ready to be changed. Gave me a good price. So I agreed to have all four brakes & pads plus front rotors done. When he called a little afternoon to let me know the work was complete I told him OK let me catch a lift or walk and he said "no way I'll pick you up". Definitely recommend this place. They rock. They will not try to rip you off quality service and what I mentioned to him that my son is looking for a car he told me that he sells cars that he fixes at himself and he guarantees them. Definitely highly recommended gem in Union City. I can see why this place is rated five read more

Very helpful very knowledgeable very honest..will not take advantage of you..coz today wanted to change my spark plug but he said what for?coz i only had 67k kiles on my chevy sonic..before that he fixed my flat tire and he was about to close the shop but still help me out...thanks for being helpful and honest.. read more

The owner, Mike, is a pretty awesome guy. The company that I work for started taking our trucks here and, soon enough, I started getting our cars serviced here and even my co-workers take their cars here. He's able to take a look at the problem and most times, if getting parts is not an issue, can get the job done on the same day. I highly recommend this company for your car care needs. read more

I had this one experience where my front headlights kept cutting on and off. I looked into the issue and my novice assumption was that it was a bad connection. Not quite sure how to repair it, I brought it to the dealership to get it fixed. I was told both the wiring and light housing needed to be replaced because the housing was cutting into the wiring. Parts and labor would be roughly 400$. I knew that was not the case when I inspected it prior and declined the repair. A friend recommended this place and brought my car the next day. After getting here, the mechanic looked into the issue, he said, "Don't waste your money on me. You can purchase the part needed for 8$ at Auto Zone and install it yourself. It'll only take 15 minutes." He proceeded to advise me on how to properly install the part and what to look out for. He then gave me the part number and told me to call him if I had any questions. I thanked him and left for Auto Zone. After purchasing the part, I went home and installed it. The next thing you know, the issue was resolved! I appreciated the mechanic's honesty and transparency in dealing with me. He was able to assure me the issue wasn't big, calmed my nerves and taught me something new! This place has definitely earned my trust and will be back to patronize this business. read more

Hands down the best mechanic I've ever taken a vehicle to! Mike is an extremely friendly guy, who runs a great shop. I took my truck in, and an 1 1/2 hrs. later I had brand new brakes. His prices are very reasonable, and he doesn't try and swindle you for more money..like most mechanics. All around, I had a perfect experience at One Stop Auto Service! read more

I will recommend one stop auto for Mike , he is pretty friendly and in my case I was not sure whether I had some issue with my car brakes or tires and should have been wasted at least 100 bucks for thorough inspection, I contacted Mike, he did a test drive and make me sure everything works fine. read more

The owner just want to do easy jobs and if ur job is hard he will try to charge you more or not do it. Took my car to a different shop in Fremont and they had no issues fixing the car. After dropping it off here and they said it was a "rust bucket can't be fixed with out major work" Please what car 15 year old doesn't have rust on its bolts ? I been to him before and overall not happy with his services.but he does easy jobs read more

Mike and his team were amazing! Took Honda Civic in and he said he only needed a couple of hours and he'll take care of it. On my way out I was about to call an Uber but mike offered me a ride because he was on his way out!!! That is incredible. There was a set diagnostic fee but I guess my light wasn't that hard to fix and he was kind enough to not charge me the set diagnostic fee because it was such an easy fix. He is a kind and honest man and he got the job done.never short of amazing. read more

I don't usually write many reviews but Mike was very helpful in informing me what was wrong with my car, it started acting weird and told him what was going on and he right away was able to tell me what it was and he got to work on it. Told him I had a trip coming up soon and he was able to check everything for me. Very honest person. Definitely would recommend this place! read more

Now that I have found this place, I will never go anywhere else. I work for a large company nearby and Mike came highly recommended by several of my co-workers. I've taken my car in and shared my not so knowledgeable self diagnosis of probably needing rotors. Anyone else would have happily agreed and done the work but Mike replaced my brake pads and told me the rotors were fine. That was it, I was hooked. Nobody else has done work on my car or my family members cars since! And did I mention their prices??? GREAT prices. I've never once passed out like at a dealership. Quality work done in a timely manner at a reasonable price. read more

These guys are the best! I've been using them for almost 20 years and never had a bad experience. In fact, they always bend over backwards to take care of all their customers. You couldn't ask for more. read more

I have been taking my compact car to One Stop for years. Mike is very honest and does excellent repair work. A couple of times he questioned me on why I wanted something done. What I wanted was not necessary. Other shops would have just done what I wanted and just be happy to charge for unnecessary work. I'm very satisfied on their work on my car and trust what Mike says and does to my car. read more

I brought my vehicle in to replace a front wheel bearing and the job was done the same day at a reasonable price. They even drove me home and picked me up when the job was done. They did not try to soak me for unneeded extra work. The car now drives quietly. Bay area Checkbook gave these guys a good rating and I agree with them. read more

I received a flyer by hand providing info about One-Stop. That was 1998, and I have been a steady customer ever since. Have been through 3 shop managers and they have each gotten better than the previous. The name says it all in terms of being able to get any kind of auto repair/maintenance done at this shop. The current manager Mike Vann is capable, knowledgeable and honest. He tells me what work I need doing and what I don't need. He never "adds on" or misleads. It is rare to find a shop with the integrity and the expertise to provide true reliable service. I'm sorry to be leaving the area and hope to find such a shop where I am moving after 17 years of great relationship and superior, honest service. read more
