You can't expect to come in during busy times like afternoons or weekends and get 15-minute service every time. Personally, I prefer that they take their time with my vehicle to make sure everything is done right. I usually drop my car off and come back later, and it's always worth it. This is the second time Kevin has checked me in, and he's been great both times. He communicates clearly and keeps me informed about any issues with my car, which I really appreciate. Two different vehicles, same issue pattern. After an oil change, the oil filter access cover on my Kia Sportage's underbody was missing--not proven, but I've only used this particular service location. On my Hyundai Tucson, the underbody cover was repeatedly peeled back to access the drain plug instead of being properly removed. Over time, it came loose, dragged on the ground while driving, and eventually broke off. I'll be changing my own oil from now on. I'm done paying $100 for oil changes when oil and a filter are on sale at AutoZone for under $33. read more

Anthony was the technician that did my oil change before I hit the highway last Saturday. I came in the morning around 9:15am, so I was the first car in the oil change bay which means I was in and out (checked out around 9:45). Keep this in mind if you're in a rush, because service is first come first serve and the lines fill up quickly. Now originally I requested to get the basic/conventional oil change that lasts 3,000 miles. However, they didn't have everything they needed for my vehicle so I had to get the full synthetic oil change instead. I wasn't anticipating having to spend that much $$$, so Anthony was kind enough to offer me a discount. Big shout out to him as well as the Manager Joe and Specialist Freddy (with a y or "ie" not too sure lol) for also checking the brake work that other technicians did to my vehicle out in Plano to make sure I was safe to drive, as they were making some unusual noises. They went above and beyond to make sure I had peace of mind & for that I'm forever grateful. I haven't had any oil spills and made it back from Louisiana in one piece, so I personally wouldn't mind recommending them to others. read more

I paid $154 for what was advertised as a full Premier/Signature oil change. According to Jiffy Lube's own site, that means checking and topping off fluids, inspecting wiper blades, exterior lights, serpentine belts, coolant level, air filter, tire pressure, and resetting oil-change reminders. I sat in the car the entire time and can say with 100% certainty none of those checks were done. Two days later, my car overheated to the point the warning light came on and the fan kept running after shutdown. That kind of overheating can destroy an engine. When I took it to another mechanic, they found air trapped in the cooling system and had to do a coolant flush and bleed (about $200) just to make the car safe to drive again. When I called, the manager brushed it off with "sorry for your inconvenience." This was not an inconvenience, it was a safety issue that could have cost me a motor. My husband questioned the $154. price, he was told for 7 quarts of oil. My car only takes 5 quarts. Where did the other 2 quarts go? . We went here to get a car inspection required for the state. The wait can be very long especially if you go on a weekend at around 10am. When we came there was around 12 cars ahead of us and Cindy said it will be a 1 hour and 45 minute wait. We ended up waiting for 2 hours, so 15 minute more wait which is not too off. They only have 1 inspection station too. They do have wifi and had to use it since my signal was not good there, but it was slow. But my wife ended up going to Walmart and there is a lot of places to eat which is nice. Each inspection does take around 20 minutes. When the car is finished you have to fill out your information and you get a receipt about the inspection. The cost is around $26 dollars for smog and regular inspection. read more

1/21/25: would give zero stars if I could I went in was told the inspection lady was at lunch. I sat and waited, she walk in she had attitude as soon as she walked in. You could see it in the body language and her face. Said, keys and insurance...... not hi hello or anything pleasant. Gave her my keys and she asked to see my insurance. I showed it and she said it's expired I need a new one. I said can you start and I will download a new one which would take a min or so. She said no, and literally walked back out the door after sliding my keys on the counter. In walks another customer that needs an inspection ...... she was looking for it. I walked up to the counter showed her the date. On my screen and set my keys down. She twisted off and said "I'm sorry let me go ahead and get this done" snatched the keys and stormed out. I said hold on just give me my keys back. She said I "threw" my keys at her which is the furthest from the truth. I left. A min or so came back in to ask what her name was she proceeded to tel me "she ain't gotta give me her name". Then proceeded to involve the other customers in there in the discussion. Which first is unprofessional, but several of them weren't in there and the one that was probably wasn't paying attention to her attitude and her eye roll when she walked off from me the first time. Then when I said what do they have to do with it she raised her voice and said I'm tired of people yelling at me. I said, ma'am I didn't yell, she raised her voice and said yes you did. The manager told her to calm down. He called the manager and she still was running her mouth in the background. Finally he told me to "get out of his store". I brought my own oil and filter and they still charged me $56.00 to change my oil. I called Kwik Kar in Forney afterwards and they would charge $45.00. I then had my air filter changed on my Infinity QX80 and they charged me $56.00 for that too. I asked Kwik Kar how much they would charge for the filter and they told me $24.00. They also had a $6.00 charge to cover "Non-Itemized Supplies"? What supplies did they use? A rag to wipe off their hands? I spent $117.00 to have my oil changed with my own oil and oil filter and paid 3X too much for my air filter that I could have gotten elsewhere. It was $19.00 on Amazon. I would have saved $49.00 going to Kwik Kar. I will never go to Jiffy Lube ever again. Absolute Rip off! read more

Oil change. Depends on how busy they are. If you are willing to wait an extended period of time it's okay. If you're in a hurry you best go somewhere else. They do give good service. The five stars is for their kind and courteous service. Ronald is calm and courteous to each and every customer that I've seen come in their shop while I myself waited for service. Yes service can seem slow and daunting, but they get lots of people needing not only oil changes, but also State Inspections as well. I've seen people who have been waiting 1-2 hours and have become irate with the workers over how long they have been waiting. These employees are working hard to get to every customer as fast as they can so if you are pressed for time, don't complain because you have been forewarned, you will be waiting for a good hour or more on most services. Lesson learned, new to the area and decided to take our newer car in for an oil change instead of having to drive out to Arlington. Was approached by a nice gentleman and let him know I just needed a regular oil change he said no problem. I went inside and waited others were checking out and you could hear their totals and I was thinking good reasonable prices. The gentlemen checking everyone out yells who drives "insert car type" I step up to the desk and get surprised with oh your total is $105! The work was already done the guy had already made other comments about other customers so I just paid and as soon as I got in the car I called my husband and he was shocked. Took my car here recently, this is the worst Jiffy Lube I have ever been to. My tire pressure wasn't checked and my windshield washer fluid wasn't topped off. I have to wonder if my oil was even really changed. I won't be coming back. There are 2 individuals that work here and they were actually working. A lame "ventbook" story you should probably scroll past. So in August of 2015, my original 2011 Silverado Battery went bad. I went to a Jiffy Lube in Forney to have it replaced, and the guy there sold me on this amazing "5 Year Battery" that was "guaranteed to work for at least 5 years or you get a free one!". Now I know that I drive my truck a lot and there was probably no way this battery would last 5 years, so this seemed like an extra good deal to me, and I purchased. I made sure to keep the certificate and paperwork in case there was an issue. Three years later, the battery has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Rather than spend $150, I knew I had that warranty, so I drove back to the exact location I had purchased, asked for a new battery and then presented the certificate which claims a "Full Replacement Warranty". The man begins shaking his head. "Nope. No way. Been more than 2 years. We're not with those guys anymore. We only do interstate batteries now." I'm a little shocked. I insisted that the employee had assured me that if I had any issue with my battery in the next 5 years that I could come back and they would take care of it. He said to me "Well you will need to call FVP maybe they will issue you a check or something." A check or something. I need a new battery, so I'll buy another one. But this is another reminder of why the public are always so skeptical about sensational claims and amazing offers. How can a company honor a lifetime warranty if it no longer exists? What do you do when a manufacturer no longer has business with your service provider? What kind of guarantee does a guarantee have? I'll contact the FVP guys and we will see if I get my "check in the mail" but I'm not expecting anything at this point. read more

I work on my vehicles. I am a heavy truck mechanic. I NEVER remove a fuse without replacing it. How was the only fuse that would cause a failure to go missing? I can't prove it was removed there but I have a suspicion it was and it may have something to do with my California plates. Not going back I'll drive somewhere. Took my truck to get an inspection.
