My husband and I went to just get oil changed on Thursday, April 23, 2026, I don't remember guy name only had a ponytail. But as soon as we sat down, he came approach us told us that oil was leaking which we found it strange, immediately he pulls out one of their parts that it would cost us $444 plus installation. Which is way over budget just for oil changed. When we told him just to do the oil change, he said that due to their company policies he was not able to change it since my husband and I had gone there before with no problem. He kept going on liability about spilling oil liability. So, we left took it to different location got second opinion. What a big liar this employee never returning there, no dripping oil, just wanted to rip us off for $444. I took my car to get my air conditioner fixed. It finally went out after over 100,000 miles on my H2. I spoke with Reggie who is such a nice guy. He got me in touch with Allen who works on the air conditioners. Allen got to work quick and got the parts I needed and was able to finish the job quickly. We noticed after Allen put the new parts on that it still was not working properly and Allen got back to work orders new parts and even noticed my radiator needed to be upgraded as well. You would think this is a small town not so great car place but the thing is.... after 3 years I feel more comfortable than I ever have getting an oil change or inspection. I love that you pull up and you can sit in your car (because they are so quick) or run next door to doughbellys for some fried fish. Every single time they are done with either my inspection or my oil change before I ever get back. That's quality service. I've had places previously that messed up my oil pan and bolts and make my oil leak and tried to blame me but I'm so glad I have this a try. I have now taken two of my vehicles there and been refused due to what they claimed were stripped drain plugs. First time went back to the dealer and they told me that there was nothing wrong with it, they changed my oil and it has since been changed again at a different shop with no issues. Today I go back with another vehicle and I get the same story. They tell me they can't touch it because of liability issues. I take it to another shop who again tells me its fine. I went for an oil change and the next day I checked my oil and it was s black, not clear at all. And it's a quart low. I sat in the car 5 minutes for what they said was an oil change. They claimed that they topped off fluids and they didn't. They didn't know how to reset the maintenance light, it took 4 guys and over an hour to figure that out. Kwik Kar compliment Today, I needed an oil change and to kill time between appointments, I stopped at the Kwik Car located at 304 W. Broad Street in Forney. I was greeted immediately by a very polite gentleman. I was asked to pop the hood. Honestly after owning my Tundra for almost 4 years, I have never had to pop the hood on my Tundra. I have been spoiled by a wonderful Husband. When I told them I don't know where the control is could they please show me for future reference. A second employee, a gentleman named "Reggie" immediately stepped up to my open door and offered to show me. He did NOT look at me like I was stupid, NOR did he speak to me like I was an idiot. He was polite, respectful, and helpful. He showed me where the release was and pooped the hood. Everything else in my Truck is marked with something to indicate what it is used for. I will never forget where it is now. I did feel silly not knowing. The oil was changed on my truck quickly and efficiently. Then I was off to my next appointment. Excellent work will get me back to a business. Going above and beyond with customer service and I am a loyal repeat customer. Very disappointed with the service. When my husband got back in my car there was no sign of protective equipment on my seat or floor. I have very light interior so anything will get my seats dirty. I have used Forney Kwik Kar for several years and never had a complaint ... until today. I went in to get my routine oil change. I also requested that the windshield wiper blades be changed. I don't know what they were doing but it took them an hour to change the oil in my car. They changed the oil in 2 other cars (who came in after me) while they changed the oil in mine. Then they forget to change the wiper blades. And they got grease all over my floor mat. Which I am not happy about. Then the receipt I was given had the wrong make and model of car listed. And the wrong mileage. I don't think I will be going back. read more

Forney Kwik Car ruined my car!!! They left a plug in the AC drain which in 5 weeks backed up causing mold and mildew and they will not make it right!!! The manager Thomas was a jerk (wouldn't give us the name of the owner as if we didn't know google existed) and Josh Edwards won't return anymore texts or phone calls. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! I never mind paying a little more for wiper blades if they put them on for me... Small conveniences are worth my money to get it all done at once. Any of my issues have always been handled immediately and professionally. Lots can go wrong with vehicles -- these guys work HARD to help you be proactive about any problems you may experience. They can also make good recommendations to other business for services that they do not provide, such as radiator or exhaust issues. They even helped me locate a reputable trim shop to replace my convertible top at a very competitive price. Its so low that I don't have a rating. Took vehicle to get inspection...Rep said it needed wiper blades Told them they charged too much so I would get my own. When I got my vehicle back, I discovered my parking lights and interior lights were still on If I had not spotted the lights, I probably would have ended w/a dead battery. You just lost a customer. Don't send me that bs about the service or that you are sorry. From all of the complaints that I have read, you have your priorities mixed up w/inspection and try to sell customers something instead. I sent my 20year old daughter to Kwik Kar to get an inspection and a oil change. The shop told her the vehicle could not pass inspection because she needed brakes which they could do for 200.00. I found this odd because I had just had her brakes done last year before she took the vehicle back to college. I told her to decline the repair and come home, the following day I had her to take the vehicle back to the shop that did the brakes and they confirmed the brakes were like new with very little wear. I will never do business with Kwik Kar again because of their deceptive practices. Hope this keeps someone from getting ripped off. read more

I was having transmission issues so had this facility do a transmission fluid and filter change. Was pleasantly given a ride home and then picked up after the work order was completed. I went today on my lunch and only waited about 20mins, maybe less, for an oil change and both headlights to be replaced. Sometimes when I get an oil change from other places I feel like they didn't do something right because the car sounds a little louder than normal while idling. My car runs great, and they cleaned my windows. I'll have to come here for my oil changes from now on. read more

I took my car to get it inspected this morning. The guy at Kwik Kar tried to tell me that I was going to fail because my wiper blades are streaking so I needed to buy a pair of $40 replacements. Um no. Do you seen any streaking? He also brought in my air filters and said that I need to get all kinds of replacements. Dude no. Just do my inspection. GTFO of here with your up sells. My husband and I are new to Forney and we heard great things about this place. Let me tell you, we are NOT impressed. My husband takes my SUV in for a state inspection where they tell him that something must be wrong with the wiring to our trailer hitch, installed by Uhaul, because the left blinker and brake light aren't working. He drives to North Garland to have Uhaul look into the problem when they SHOW him it was nothing more than needing a new bulb. He then drove to O'Reilly to get a new bulb, replaces it, and the blinker and brake light are fine. Kwik Kar told us they tried that. I call bull on that. My husband spent 5 hours running around Dallas for no reason! He then returned to get the inspection, because they were the only ones still open, and they tell him it will be half an hour. An hour and a half later he gets to leave. The next day he notices that they failed to put the air cap back on one of my tires, so we are now out the cost and time to replace that. Reckless behavior was exercised, knowledge escaped them, and we didn't even get so much as an apology. I fully agree with supporting local businesses, but not at the cost of my hard earned money and well deserved time. *UPDATE* I am changing my rating to a five star because the business owner replied to my hateful review, in an attempt to rectify any hostility that I was feeling. This means more to me than this business may be aware of. We will go back and try again, and I do believe that this trip will be different. Thank you guys! read more

I sent my wife in to get the service done with a normal oil change being $39.99, with a filter included. They didn't say anything too her, just rang up the service, roughly $55.00. She called me to ask why they charged her for the premium filter...... I got on the phone with them, they told me this filter was a special really expensive filter. They charged an extra $12.99 for a premium oil filter......... I called the Jeep Dealer and can get the part for $12.99, and I know they don't use factory filters. Also, called several parts places and they have the filters for $8.99 to $11.99. So, I paid full price for the oil change and got no credit for the filter that would have been included into the price. Not going back again....... UGH!! read more

I took my car to Kwik Kar on May 8, 2015 to have the oil changed and tires rotated. The service man said I should also have the transmission changed since I had 39,405 miles on the vehicle. Agreed to do so and drove out, my bill came to $154.99. I noticed a slight funny smell coming from the engine, but thought maybe a little got on the engine after they changed it. Since we do not dirve this car very much it set up in the garage. After a few weeks when I backed the car out of the garage I noted that there was something on the floor, I wiped it up thinking they might have spilled a bit of oil in the engine. Another week went by and I noticed more spillage.l again wiped it up and took the car back for them to inspect. They said it was transmission fluid and that I had a leak in the gasket now. This is strange as I never had this before and I told the guys that. They said I did now and it might be covered under my warranty? I couldn't believe this so I took it straight to the dealer, expressing my dissatisfaction to the service guys at Kwik Kar. The dealer said whoever worked on the car last did not put the top back on the transmission so that it had been sloshing around and dripping on the engine as I drove it around. I talked to the Kwik Kar immediately and told them that I was expecting a refund for this part of the bill, $55.00 for poor workmanship. They said they would talk to the owner. To date I have been back by one more time to see what is being worked out, but was told the owner was out of town riding rodeo and I would not hear back for another week on this matter. My husband always used Kwik Kar so I felt very safe taking it to them for work to be done, but now I am second guessing as there is no resolve. Also when I took it back for them to look at it, they never checked under the hood??? Just put it on the lift and showed me where the oil was dripping down. It was dripping down because the top was just barely hanging on to the place it was supposed to be. PS the Honda Dealer in Rockwall, cleaned the engine, put on the cap, and washed the car. I usually go to a different location, but was suggested to go to this one instead. I'm SO GLAD I DID! As they were changing my oil, the manager Brandon, washed all my windows and mirrors, checked my tire pressure, all without me even requesting it. They definitely have great customer service, and it was very fast! I was in and out, in less than an hour. Also, it's just a small thing, but I like that they had a drink machine that sells Monster.
