I usually get all my synthetic oil change done but today I had all kinds of blinker lights issues so I was able to get some light maintenance taken care of. Which I super appreciate because being Saturday no mechanic places are open! So luckily JL could fix my blinker light that I needed done. My son took his car in to have the oil changed. They drained his transmission fluid instead of the oil. Getting the correct transmission fluid took them 3 days. During this time they broke the coolant line to the radiator. Which then took another 4 days to replace. In total his car was there for 7 days for an oil change. The staff is undereducated and unsupervised. In the end we were comped the oil change. $130 dollars for 7 days worth of headache. We will not be returning here. read more

now why did yall lie and say that there was no issue with the spark plugs when we specifically asked?? instead charged us $600 and 4 hours of our time for a catalytic converter repair but neglected to mention that the misfiring spark plugs were what damaged it in the first place. so 50 miles later our car is still lurching around bc you didnt fix the root cause even when we SPECIFICALLY ASKED "is there an issue with the spark plugs?" we are on a road trip and literally have no options to fix this car now. read more

They put the wrong size cabin filter in and failed to close the cover so for HOURS and HOURS in temperatures below zero we had cold air blowing on our feet and we were unable to stop it. They were able to get me right in, and found some issues with my car that needed attention. 45 minutes later, and some free popcorn and soda, I was on my way with a car that runs WAY better than it did! 0 rating. When I first pulled up, I was presented with 3 oil options for an oil change. I told them my vehicle only takes full synthetic. Valvoline and the dealerships know this. I should've left then. After my oil change, I left for Phoenix. My vehicle overheated in Cortes Junction. It cost me a total of $1875 to have my vehicle towed to and repaired at a dealership in Prescott. I also needed a rental car for 6 days. John Mahan, the general manager said he'd review my receipts for reimbursement after I told him that the dealership found that JiffyLube left the coolant cap off and overfilled the oil. Of course once I sent all the receipts, he refuted these errors and damages. I effectively paid $2000 for an oil change that had to be redone. THEY DO NOT PRIDE THEMSELVES ON QUALITY OF SERVICE AND GUEST SATISFACTION! Do not sacrifice your vehicle, time or money here. read more

Had my mother's truck oil changed and oil started leaking. Took it back and they said it was fix but the oil kept leaking. Took the truck to another shop and they told me the oil plug was crossed threaded. The manager refused to fix the oil leak, even though it was his shop that did not fix the original issue. I called their headquarters and they did nothing to resolve or repair the oil leak. The manager did not take ownership of the damage. Managers like him gives automobile shops a bad reputation. Do not take your vehicle here. If they damage anything, the manager will not own up it. The Manager is terrible, unprofessional, inexperienced, disrespectful, and should not be a manager. read more

I've been a customer of this shop for four years. I've done oil changes and tire rotations and even had them fill my window crater. Two weeks ago they ripped off a lug nut because the last time they rotated my tires they did it way too tightly. They refused to take responsibility for fixing it because I hadn't got my tires rotated as often as I should have and they claimed someone else must've done it. So they put the tire back on, one of the lug nuts that wasn't ripped off was replaced with the wrong size, and sent me on my way. It cost me $80 to fix that at a local shop. They also haven't been recording my last few oil changes. I thought I could trust them but I'll never go again. read more

Took my car in to get a transmission fluid change but they wanted me to sign a waiver, waiving my rights in case they messed something up. Uh. yeah/no. They need to be professional in their work and carry appropriate professional liability / garagekeeper's insurance to cover any errors. This is the second time that this location has provided bad service. I'll NEVER take my vehicle here again! Took my truck in for an oil change and top off wiper fluid. First off, they had no wiper fluid. Second, they broke the cable for my hood release. I brought it back to explain that they were liable for the damages that their employees did to my vehicle. The employee, Juan, stated that he would order the part and call me when it arrived. I received no phone call. I called, left message, and no call back. I had a good experience until I left. My tire pressure light had not been on for months and it turned on as I pulled out after an oil change. I thought it was weird but didn't make a big deal out of it. When I was checking out, they told me they checked my tire pressure (did not ask them to) and said it was all good. I wake up tomorrow morning and my tire is completely flat. I'm furious because I end up being late for work and having to buy an Uber to get to work. I call because I know there was nothing wrong with my tire to make it be flat and I got sent to voicemail. I checked the tire cap after and it was completely loose, which means my tire was leaking air all night. I call again later in the day to see if I can get reimbursed for the Uber or something to help me. I told him what happened and he talked to me like I was incompetent. He said "was your air pressure light on before you came in?" I said no. It seemed like he was trying to pin it on me. Then he told me to drive my car in so they can fix it after I told him my tire was completely flat. He had a tone with me and acted like I was an idiot and that it wasn't their fault. We were greeted by a really nice guy who walked us to the waiting area. The waiting area was clean and had fountain drinks, popcorn, coffee, a tv to watch & plenty of magazines to read. Wanted to like this place. They sent me a coupon with a great deal on an oil change. All they wanted to do was waste my time and try to upsell me with maintenance my car didn't need. My plan was to drop the car off and head to Starbucks across the street to get some work done. Simple. Or so I thought. They didn't even get my information and check me in for 25 minutes. The technician dealing with customers was completely lacking in social skills. When asked if they could call me when my car was done, the answer was a flat "No. It will just be done when it's done." The only semi-redeeming quality to this whole experience was the kid who cashed me out (I think his name was Dallas). He was respectful and courteous and at least knows how to make a customer feel appreciated. So they wasted my time only to waste more of my time with their refusal to provide even the most basic form of customer service. I'll never be back here, and I'd recommend staying away from here. This branch deserves to die for the poor experience it provides. The people of Flagstaff deserve better. read more

I went in for an oil change and was well pleased with the service I received. I was in and out within 30 minutes even though there were two vehicles in line per bay when I arrived. The technicians showed me that my air filter was pretty clogged, so I had them replace that as well. A heads up to all Flag newbies, expect to pay up for oil changes in this town. I called about 6 different auto shops and was consistently quoted $40+ for my 07' Honda Accord, with a few quoting $35. The reason I chose Jiffy Lube was for three reasons: (1) They offer coupons online. Got one for $16 off an oil change service. (2) They're lifts are not elevated off the ground, making them suitable for anyone that has dropped their cars a few inches. (3) Oil change service comes with perks, including interior vacuuming, washing of windows, fluid checks, and tire inflations. I guess less competition means higher rates, but I can vouch that they use quality oil products. I can really feel the difference in the handling of my car. All the guys working here are young and extremely nice. There's a Starbucks right across the street if you don't feel like sitting in the waiting area. You can see when your car is done from the windows, so that was convenient. The reason I took off a star was because it was obvious they didn't vacuum the interior upon returning the car to me. I had to go back to request it to be done since it is included with the oil change service. Besides that little incident, I would recommend this shop to anyone who just needs a simple oil change. As for lengthier services, the prices are really steep. read more

Came in for an oil change and left with a damaged oil pan and a leak. My car has never had any issues with an oil leak and after leaving your location my oil pan doesnt stop leaking. I live 2 hours away from this location so I took it to another location close to home to see what was wrong. The techs at the other location confirmed that whomever put the oil plug back in screwed it in too tight and bent the pan so they had to hammer back to a acceptable position. When I called the Flagstaff location they claimed that the oil pan was already damaged and are not accepting responsibility. Avoid Jiffy Lube read more

Took my work truck in for oil change. I go every month but I had a feeling that they were not doing all the things they are suppose to. My truck tells me the tire pressure of each tire. These guys were great! I'm traveling through the National Parks of the USA, when the engine light came on, out of Zion NP, Utah. This was the closest jiffy lube on the GPS & even though it was a busy Saturday morning the staff were working hard & efficiently to get through the line of cars. Turned out my old Dodge Grand Caravan had had some dodgy work done in the past (this was my first service since buying it). The mechanic showed me exactly what was wrong & explained what was required to fix it. The specialist mechanic (head mechanic - not sure of the title?) got to my car as soon as he could & 3.5 hrs later my old minivan was running like a dream. I've had Toyotas & Hondas my whole life & every service required the car for the whole day. These guys (& 1 girl) did a big service & repair in a few hours. Couldn't be happier! read more

Slow service, and they tried to over charge me. I came in for an oil change and asked for a particular kind of oil at an agreed upon price. After my car was done, the guy informed me that they ran out of the oil they agreed on, so they used the higher quality, more expensive oil and that it would cost me more. He did not ask me if this was okay with me or inform me it would cost more until after it was done. I am a full time college student, I came into Jiffy Lube with exactly as much money as I needed for the oil change. Luckily, he charged me the original price when I put up a fight. I was visiting Flagstaff for the weekend when I noticed (after several people flagged me down to tell me) that there was a plastic panel dragging on the ground the front of my car. It turns out that when I had the car repaired a few days ago in Phoenix (at a dealership; not Jiffy Lube) the ding-dongs there forgot to put several screws back into that panel (that they must have removed to access the parts they replaced). I stopped into this Jiffy Lube and showed the very nice guy there what the problem was. He said "no problem, we'll fix it and get you out of here in 5 minutes." He then pointed me to the waiting room and offered me coffee and water. Five minutes later, another Jiffy Lube guy came and got me, told me he replaced the missing screws and sent me on my way--no charge. Amazing!! read more

I had an oil change done today and after traveling for a bit, I realized there was smoke coming from under the hood. Also, the car was making noise that it wasn't making before. We found out the oil lube technician must have knocked off the hose to our radiator which caused it to overheat. I called the store and got a half-apology, but I'm still upset because the hose lost the part that connected it to the radiator. I won't be coming back here for services. read more

I am generally an easy to please guy. I was once an oil tech at a Cadillac dealership and now I teach middle school science. I come to Jiffy Lube because I really like the convenience, even though I can do the oil change for 40 dollars myself. I love that I can relax, eat the popcorn there and help support the local young adults. Today's oil change started off weird. After I received the customary "upsell", which I understand and appreciaten, the crew there seemed rowdy. As my truck was being drained, three of them disappeared through an office door where I heard running down or up a stairwell. There was yelling, laughing and cussing. I felt like I was back at school. They hurried out of the office/stairwell when another patron pulled up....cussing still following. It calmed down a bit and my truck was moved to the hoist for my tire rotation. As my truck was in the air Brian (changed his name, because I am nice) was in conversation by my passenger front wheel with the young lady who wrote up my service ticket. They occasionally looked across the shop and through the window at me. Now, I am not paranoid....however, I am a teacher and there is body language that peaks my alertness. Still they chatted and looking back at me. By this point I am trying not to look like I notice too much. My truck comes down and in walks Brian with the news that my passenger front strut is leaking and I should have it sealed. I asked Brian if I may see the leak and he hesitated (not a good sign). He said, "Sure, but I have to get the truck lifted again and take off the tire." I agreed. The truck was lifted again and he came back in and said that he didn't want to take the tire off. Instead he told me how to find the leak when I got home! I was beginning to get angry....but I kept my calm demeanor. When the young lady cashed me out, I asked about the leak. (I knew that she was talking to him about something and I figured she was filled in on my report) She answered that she did not know about it and that I should ask Brian. When my truck was ready....I asked Brian for more detail one last time. He said, "not sure what it was....didn't even look like oil." I drove home knowing full well that I could examine the claim myself.....no leak. It didn't even looked like the dust was disturbed. In fact, it wasn't on the report as a leak or concern. Windshield wiper fluid was half full also when the report said, "added". I am not sure if these up sales can provide commission for jiffy lube techs......But I lost my trust in that institution today. I hope that my long story can help others. I don't like being the unhappy customer. I want to trust people and spend my money on quality service. read more

I have made the mistake of going back to this Jiffy Lube a few times over the past few years...Never again. Today I paid $80 for an oil change and had to wait in line for 45 minutes. I told the woman who took my order that I need to have my windshield wiper fluid basin filled up because it was completely dry. She told me they top off the fluid in all vehicles serviced there. When my truck as finally done I again asked the attendant if the windshield wiper fluid was filled up. He said yes it had been. I drove home and when I got in the driveway I tried to wash the windows there was NO windshield fluid at all in the basin. I'm so DONE with this particular Jiffy Lube. They lie about everything and they provide half ass service. Aren't they also supposed to wash your windows and vacuum the inside of the car. They never do that. In fact, the past 3 or 4 times I have gone to this Jiffy Lube to get my oil changed I get home and there is a slow leak of oil out of the bottom of my nearly brand new RAM truck because the incompetent teenagers they employ at this store don't tighten the oil fitting good enough....so the oil drips down on my brand new drive way. I call and complain and they tell me to come back and they will tighten the drip down so it won't leak. Why do I have to drive another 20 miles round trip just because they can't do their job right? Then today when I called to complain and got the same RUDE manager I always end up complaining to...his name is Juan...he hangs up on me like my opinion about their terrible service doesn't matter. Then I write a complaint to Jiffy Corporate headquarters and I am completely ignored. This Jiffy Lube sucks. Take your business elsewhere....they will only lie about what you are being charged for. In fact on my receipt it says the fluids were all filled by the service team. What a bogus lie. Whatever happened to great customer service in this country? Jiffy Lube has gone down hill and this particular shop on Route 66 in Flagstaff should hire a whole new team that actually cares about the work they do...and they are also honest. Imagine that....this is the kind of customer service you get when you spend a ridiculous amount of $80.00 on an oil change.
