If you guys and other places that work on tire replacements then you should turn the settings on…read moreyour impact wrenches down to where it's close to the recommended torque on lug nuts for most cars and trucks. I've only taken my car to your establishment for tires and or flats for years now and when studs start snapping off because you over torque them with impact wrenches then you need to turn them down. If not then you should either replace the studs at cost or reimburse the customer for getting them fixed. Estimates can vary wildly depending on which wheel it broke on. The front wheel on certain cars require a total hub replacement which can run several hundred dollars. Your excuse is that you don't fix them but the studs are breaking because your impact wrenches are turned up too much. If you can't fix what you're breaking because you're equipment is turned up to high then you should pay or reimburse the customer for fixing your screw up. The customer should not have to eat the cost of replacing a stud or studs because of your negligence.

At first, he refused to answer my question over the phone and insisted that I come in person to get help. I explained that I was driving on a spare tire that seemed too small for my SUV. I could only safely go about 49 mph, while the highway speed limit is 70. I didn't want to risk driving several cities over only to find out they didn't have the tire I needed. After some back and forth, he finally admitted they did not have the trim I was looking for. He mentioned they did have a tire that was technically compatible with my vehicle, but not with the trim of my other three tires. If I had followed his initial advice and made the drive, it would have been a complete waste of time. He could definitely benefit from more training in phone etiquette and communication when speaking with potential customers.
