At first, he refused to answer my question over the phone and insisted that I come in person to get help. I explained that I was driving on a spare tire that seemed too small for my SUV. I could only safely go about 49 mph, while the highway speed limit is 70. I didn't want to risk driving several cities over only to find out they didn't have the tire I needed. After some back and forth, he finally admitted they did not have the trim I was looking for. He mentioned they did have a tire that was technically compatible with my vehicle, but not with the trim of my other three tires. If I had followed his initial advice and made the drive, it would have been a complete waste of time. He could definitely benefit from more training in phone etiquette and communication when speaking with potential customers.

This shop is family owned, it was started well over 30 years ago by two brothers. There commitment to service and costumer satisfaction is very important to them and one of the reason they have been in business for so long. I took my 1994 Jeep Wrangler to them to diagnose a clicking sound coming from my engine. Not only did they find it, they fixed it in a short amount of time. They also replaced my transmission on such Jeep. My Jeep has never run so good. Someone mentioned in a review these people where not to be Trusted. We agreed to the $189 diagnostic check out, but was charged an additional diagnostic chemical block test fee without prior approval from us or discussion upon drop off. I witnessed the entire discussion myself. He received a quote of $1,080 to replace the electrical cooling fan and module. I told him to deny the repair, as that is complete insane pricing. He questioned the unapproved additional diagnostic fee, we were fine with the $189 and it was reduced to $280 from $315. He paid the $280 and picked the vehicle up. We bought the parts (same brand and model they quoted him with) the next day w/ warranty ($290) and I walked him through how to replace both parts. We were done in 30 minutes, this wasn't me doing it, this was the time for him to do it and learn while me telling him what to do. The prices quoted for the simple, straight forward repair were ridiculous. Sad to see from a long term local business. As a life long coast resident, I will share my experience when asked where not to go regarding cost effective, needed auto repairs. The nearly $300 diagnostic fee was going to be charged if we moved forward with repairs. What an experience! One and done!

Seems like a good place to get an oil change or other basic vehicle maintenance services. My only complaint is the mechanic used the hood support rod, which I had strapped down to prevent its use, and this caused the gas lifts (which hold the hood up) to be pulled away from their attachment points and one was slightly damaged.

Joe's fixed them but failed to mention that the upper control arms and links were broken, allowing the whole rear end to move around. The drive shaft was damaged at the U-joint, and the differential pinion seal was busted so the rear differential was leaking. They said nothing and charged four-digits for the repair of the springs. I paid thinking this would resolve my issues; instead, I drove off their lot with a heavy and persistent vibration throughout the vehicle. The dealership I took the vehicle to next couldn't believe nothing was said about all of the other damage that was plainly visible. I do not recommend service here beyond rudimentary maintenance such as an oil change or tire rotation. To do it all over again I would have called a tow-truck.
