**Review for Johnson Tire Service, Vancleave, Mississippi**…read more I cannot stress enough how important it is to avoid Johnson Tire Service in Vancleave, Mississippi. My experiences with them have been incredibly frustrating and costly, and I hope my review helps others steer clear of this business. After nearly a year of doing business with them, I failed to recognize the numerous warning signs regarding their workmanship. I initially had issues with leaking wheel seals and a radiator replacement that turned into a disaster. Just three weeks after they replaced the radiator, I had to replace it again. While the radiator itself was covered under warranty, I still had to pay for labor and service due to their installation mishaps. These were clear indicators of their poor quality of work that I regret not taking seriously. Fast forward to a later incident involving my trailer. They replaced a tire for me, but instead of installing the 16-ply tire I specifically requested, they put on a 14-ply tire. Two weeks later, while delivering a load in Kentucky, my trailer caught fire. The cause? The lug nuts on the tire they installed were over-torqued, leading to a failure of the stud, which generated enough heat to ignite a fire. I spent over $4,500 with Johnson Tire Service, only to turn around and spend an additional $8,000 to fix my trailer, cover towing bills, and pay for hotels while sorting everything out. After the trailer fire and getting it repaired, I was driving on the interstate in traffic when I had to brake suddenly for another vehicle that cut me off. I heard a loud pop and lost all brake pressure. Fortunately, I managed to park safely and had to tow my vehicle again to a repair facility. Upon inspection, they found that the hydro boost Johnson Tire had installed had over-torqued bolts, causing the area where the bolts fastened to crack and ultimately separate the brake booster from the hydro boost. Additionally, some of the trailer's brakes had never worked properly before the fire, despite being told that everything was in working order after Johnson Tire performed a DOT inspection. This lack of proper inspection and maintenance left me in a dangerous situation, and I lost numerous loads and incurred multiple towing bills, leaving me out of commission for more than three weeks. Although they initially reassured me that the hydro boost part was covered under warranty, the manufacturer determined the failure was due to installation issues, leaving me with another $3,500 bill. To add insult to injury, Johnson Tire Service refused to reimburse me for that expense as well. In summary, Johnson Tire Service gives a bad name to the automotive service industry. They lack professionalism, integrity, and accountability, and their negligence has caused me significant financial loss and left me with dangerous situations. I urge anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. Your safety and hard-earned money deserve much better than what Johnson Tire Service has to offer. Don't make the same mistake I did--choose a reputable business that stands by its work and values its customers.

Not including the tire I got the oil pan from the same place that you could get it from and had it installed and it came with a warranty as well and it was $400 cheaper than you quoted and no it wasn't done in someone's yard either. You price markup's are ridiculous. Yes I still needed a tire which I was able to get a new tire and still came in $200 cheaper than you quoted me just for the oil pan alone. I don't know why you mark everything up so much and I'm sure you're not the only ones doing so. I could say a number of other things but it wouldn't change anything so I won't.

Mechanic said that tire was riddled with about a dozen holes and couldn't be repaired. Also told me another tire had a bulge, and a third had a gouge in it (that defect was visually obvious). Ordered three new tires, specified Carlisle Trail HDs, same as were on it, had them write that on my receipt, and was assured they could order those to arrive the next day. Paid a 50% deposit in cash because "credit/debit is down at this time." Showed up the next day and they started installing "Trailer Master' tires on it. Had them stop and talked to the owner, Lots of "who promised Carlisles?" "Carlisle doesn't make these anymore" (Amazon still carries them), and "We used to be able to get Carllisles from our distributor but he doesn't carry them anymore." Already late for my destination, I was over a barrel. I told him I'd have to take the China Bombs instead of the quality tires I paid for, at the quality tire price, but I wouldn't be happy about it. This is me not being happy about it. Learn from my misfortune if you are wise. (No price reduction was offered, and of course, I had to pay the balance in cash, because these guys take cash only. I wonder why?)

Fifteen inch tires are becoming fairly rare and some manufacturers no longer make them. We discussed what would best suit my needs (road driving only) I was recommended the Toyo Extensa A/S. I had no experience with this brand and wanted to do some research. There were a couple of other options I was given and promised to call back the next day with my decision. Tire specifications and higher reviews led me to believe that, yes the Toyos would be my best option and I had them order four. I noticed during balancing that the first tire need no wheel weight to balance itself. The other three only needed one of the smallest weights they make. That's a sign of care taken putting the tire together. I'm liking these Extensas already. From the moment I pulled away I noticed a huge difference. Road noise was greatly reduced and my truck felt nimble without any squirrellyness. I towed my 4x6 trailer the next day for 300 miles. Wow! No more wrestling the wheel while pulling a load. These folks know their tires. Trust them. Wade is a little way out of the way but worth the drive. Good people to deal with. BTW, when you buy 4 tires, they will rotate them every 6,000 miles at no charge. SOLD!

Absolute BEST customer service possible!!!…read more My friends and I were on the way to the beach (Destin) for the weekend and after one blowout from the used tires I had JUST bought before leaving home in Baton Rouge, I decided I should go ahead and buy NEW tires. We made it all the way to Gulfport before things started to open early in the morning (we were in a BIG HURRY to get to the sand and the sun). I first went to what I assumed would be the cheapest place in town. We were jerked around but then finally told it would be about an hour and a half before my car would be ready. After waiting that long, we went back to check and my car had not even been touched. With so much time wasted at this point, it was a big risk but we made the choice to leave and go elsewhere. That's when I made the GREATEST decision!!! Going to Andy Brown's was THE BEST choice I possibly could have made. As soon as I got there, Andy himself came out to greet me. I explained my situation and he assured me he was going to get me taken care of. Even though he had a very full shop with no place to even put my car, I ended up getting out of there in less than an hour!!! I literally felt like I had been his customer forever and had earned VIP status. THAT is what superior customer service is truly all about!! My friends and I were made to feel comfortable and completely at home the entire home. It was the most ideal way that situation possibly could have gone. I would LOVE to spend my money there over and over again! I just cannot express how wonderful Andy and his team are and how absolutely grateful I am!!!

However, when my car was ready, the alignment wasnt right, so they put it on the rack and fixed that! When I called, they said to bring it in and they would fix it "first thing "! So, review pending; UPDATED: PERFECT! The tire had slung a weight! They re-balanced, checked the alignment and it's now perfect! Thanks for the great service
