Went there to get an oil change on Friday June 5, at 2 pm. Not a single customer in any of the 3 bays, and no one waiting to drive in. FIVE employees, in uniform, standing around talking--not bringing in a cent. An employee walked forward, asking me "what you need?" I said, "well, an oil change, which I think is your core busines, and full synthetic." I also said, explicitly, please don't try to upsell me. This is a brand new car (Nov. 2025, directly from the BMW factory), and all I need is oil. So, instead, he asks my if I also want a tire rotation. I said "Well you obviously just heard me and just ignored me." Then I asked him to quote a FIRM price for full synthetic, typically around $90, and he says, "$115, but if it needs more than 5 quarts (virtually impossible), it's more." Of course, that's an absurd price even for synthetic. So I responded, "If you can't quote me a firm price for oil, and you're still trying to upsell me when I clearly asked you not to, you'll never get my business." And I drove off. Jiffy Lube is famous--more like infamous--for this nonsense. And I am famous (not really) for not putting up with scams. Honestly, this Jiffy-clown show--aggressively trying to get customers to pay for things they don't need, on top of its absurdly-high charges for their basic oil services--is the same in every state I've lived (seven). I was at the Bethel Road location in Columbus Oh, store number 1291 today. They severely dented the side of my car and claimed they didn't do anything. I need the video footage. It was not there when I took it in, as I had just checked tire pressures all around my car. Then immediately following they tried to get me to not look at one side of my car and there the huge dent was. Jiffy Lube needs to be responsible for this. Did Abercrombie buy out Jiffy Lube and impose its corporate marketing strategy? Jiffy Lube is now in my books as salesy and overpriced. I was charged $50 for what I selected as the "normal" oil change! Even worse, I had to dodge about 14 different up-sells in the 10 minutes it took to get the oil change completed! I realize this is America, and companies are trying to get consumers to spend more money. But if I wanted the pressure and stress, I'd just change the oil myself. I never suspected Jiffy Lube would try and brand themselves as the Ritz Carlton of oil change shops. Perhaps this is why I was so bewildered when they recognized my name, based on my license plate, before I even walked up to the counter... I've been coming here for a year or two now and now my windshield wiper fluid is pure water. Today I pulled into traffic, tried to spray my windshield, and it immediately formed a sheet of ice on my windshield. Very decent experience this visit. The last time I was in the tech I had was rather rude and just made the experience very unbearable. This time around they were rather courteous. They did their normal upsale for things I didn't necessarily need. The "wipers have tears in them" but they work fine with no issue. Eh, it is what it is. This is standard practice for most oil change places. Prices are a bit high, but I needed the oil changed on a Sunday so I didn't have a ton of options. Would I return? Maybe. read more

I've been in here a few times. I've had good experiences, bad experiences and neutral experiences. Neutral being the ones that didn't make sick to my stomach as I paid the bill or regretting having something done because they didn't do it right. First, the good. I've come to Jiffy Lube ever since we bought our Honda Odyssey. Plain and simple I don't have HOURS to devote to getting a freaking oil change. I've got a large family, two young children, three school aged children that I'm constantly running to and from one place or another, I just don't have time. I've had my 3 year old daughter with me almost every time I've come in there, but most recently I had both my 6 month old son and my toddler with me. Rather than drag me out to the computer to go over their checklist with me, the guy brought me the filters to show, and the paper to go over with me in the waiting room. I thought that was very intuitive and much safer for the kids. I appreciated that and I was pretty impressed honestly. The Neutral; I feel like they are a bit overpriced, and yes, they do try to upsell a lot. It kind of gets annoying, but you have to expect it and all it takes is saying "no". They aren't pushy after you shut them down. So that I appreciate. I typically do walk out of there mildly disappointed because I feel like I spent too much, but with a large family, my budget is tight, so that's just MY personal feelings. The price might be great for someone who has more room in their budget, and honestly, I am ok paying a little more to NOT have to juggle my two little ones for 2 hours while my oil gets changed. The negative; I spend $19.99 to have them rotate my tires on one trip. A few days later I had to take it to Discount Tire after finding a bolt in my tire. The bolt DID NOT come from Jiffy Lube. This was several days later. However, when I was at Discount Tire (awesome by the way!) they told me whoever rotated my tires last time did it wrong. I have directional tires which means they tread is meant to be a certain direction as it spins when the vehicle is moving. There are arrows that TELL you which way they're SUPPOSED to go. Discount Tire fixed it for me when they replaced my tire that had the bolt in it. I was annoyed for spending $20 additional to have them incorrectly rotate my tires. All in all, I am happy with their service. They're all quite friendly and haven't run into anyone rude there yet. I appreciate that with the rude individuals that tend to run rampant in the service industry lately. read more

WORST oil change in the city. I came here today for a basic oil change. In the past I recall them having reasonable prices but when I get into the office, the guy tells me it's going to cost $49.99. I have a friend who can change my oil and give me the better oil for $20, so I declined. I told him that was far more than I expected and I wanted to take my vehicle elsewhere. This conversation is taking place LESS than a minute from when I stepped out of my car. He tells me they've already drained my oil! So what the hell options do I have at that point?!? THEY DRAIN YOUR OIL BEFORE GETTING YOUR APPROVAL ON ANYTHING AND LEAVE YOU FORCED TO PAY FOR THEIR SERVICES. I have never been so unsatisfied with a business. Until we talk about the cost and I give you the go-ahead, DO NOT drain the oil from my vehicle. I asked for a phone number for a corporate office or someone I could share my comments with and some man who claimed to be the manager for the division or something along those lines butted in and said HE was that person. Sure, buddy. In the end I still had to pay $50 for a service I did not want. I wouldn't have given them my business for $10 after what they did, but when they drain your car of oil without your permission they leave you no choice. I will never give Jiffy Lube my business for the rest of my driving lifetime. They also all (a bunch of 4-6 losers) made a scene shouting for me to have a great weekend very insincerely as I was leaving. They rip you off and then laugh at your expense. read more

The Jiffy Lube crew at this location are professional; quick and efficient. They naturally recommend various filter changes etc. and you must decide if the air filter for instance is really that dirty and if you want them to change it. Any professional crew would do the same. They have a state of the art computer system that tells them your cars history so they can recommend transmission service etc. when the car is actually due. The prices and labor are reasonable for this economy. read more

I went to Jiffy Lupe in March 2014. The advertised price for an oil change was $39.99. After the oil change was finished, they told me I owed them $55, not the advertised price and roughly a 25% hike. When I questioned the purposely fast-talking attendant, he said that my vehicle requires a special oil. I drive a 2010 Honda CR-V and I'd never heard that before at my other oil changes. After further questioning, I was able to get out of the attendant that all vehicles made after 2009 for Honda, GM, and one other major brand that I cannot remember require that "special type of oil". So if you drive a vehicle made within the last 5-6 years, you'll likely pay more than the advertised price. Ridiculous. I don't know if this is a recent policy change, but it's certainly a shady business practice. I'm not going back and suggest you don't either. read more

This place is a complete joke! The cheapest oil change they have is 39.99 before tax and can go as high is 59.99 what a rip off! After they complete the oil change they try to sell you 10+ different products and tell you what's wrong with your car. Standard fast oil change service, my standard comment about jiffy line stops at the fact it's overpriced, you can get the same service elsewhere often without less "do you want X, y, z? With that? Btw we already did w it cost this" however that is the least offensive part of my experience here. I was just in recently after a long trip to Baltimore for an oil change, I was recommended a tire rotation but I was on a schedule and they up charge for everything so I said not today. This is all they had to say about my tires, yet the next day I was on a two hour drive home and I could have lost my LIFE because one of my rear tires shredded on the highway. Today I'm getting a replacement tire and I'm shown that my other rear tire is just as bald and dangerous. Obviously it's not their fault that my tires were in this condition but the fact that a car service place didn't just have the time or care to look at my tires and point out such an obvious issue shows how uncommitted they are to actually doing you a service. In a place like this that charges a premium for everything they do you expect and hope for them to be informative, attentive, and helpful to people that might not know a lot about their vehicles. This is my the only company that offers this service and there are places that can do it better for you for less. read more

More than impressed. The staff goes out of their way to be professional. Not standard for a 10-minute oil change. Though they pushed sales they were still cordial and not pushy. The gentlemen here are very nice, professional, and knowledgable. They check everything and ask you if you'd like to get new stuff, and once you say no thank you they never try to pressure you into anything. They just move down the list they're required to go down. I went to this location a few days ago for a basic oil change. I was told that Toyota recommended the synthetic oil change which was a minimum of $62. I told the gentleman at the counter that I could not afford that and asked what another choice would be. He told me if I wanted to put the INCORRECT oil in my car that they could do that. Of course that was the lesser costing change. I am not stupid and know that the lesser change would have been just fine. It is everywhere else. I told him to pull my car of the bay, which he did while then telling me he could do any change that I wanted. Geesh! I had stopped in at several automotive service centers today, trying to get my oil changed and was told that there would be 2-3 hour waiting time for the service. I stopped in to this location and it, along with topping off my fluids and cleaning the interior of my car, was done in about 15 minutes. Sure it was a bit pricey, but Josh was very polite and knowledgeable. I can't stress how fast my oil was changed and that's what really mattered. read more
