Tire Discounters sells your milage to car fax. If you drive a lot. They sell your information and in the end you pay. Also they like many places pushes products you really do not need. This is why you should buy your tires on line. Shops will mount and balance them for you. But any shop that sells to carfax I would not trust. read more

Wait wasn't long at all, they weren't too busy, service was great. I was in and out in about 45 minutes.

Went to Tire Discounters with a flat tire. Had just bought 4 tires there in Dec. Something shiny stuck in it. Put the donut on last night and had the damaged tire in the trunk. Told me it would be free. Probably 60-90 minutes if I wanted to wait. 25 minutes later - tire fixed - donut back in the trunk and I was on my way - no charge. They were amazing. In a time when customer service can be iffy at best - these guys get it. Go somewhere else at your own peril!!!! read more

I have had several Tire Discounters locations perform non-tire maintenance work on all of my vehicles in the past and have always been happy with their service and work. Today my truck died while driving in the area so Tire Discounters my first choice for service. The tow truck arrived at the Gemini Parkway location and I went in to talk to the guys. As I explained what happened the man at the counter gave me a blank stare and asked, "So, what do you want me to look at?" I replied that I didn't know what was wrong as I'm not a mechanic. He stated they're now only a tire shop and only do tires, that it sounded like I need more than tires, and that they wouldn't be able to work on it. Told me to hurry outside and stop the tow truck drive from disconnecting it and sent me on my way. Due to the extremely poor customer service at this location I won't be back. UPDATE: Mike at this Tire Discounters location called me for more information and apologized. Although extremely surprised to hear of my experience he knew exactly whom I worked with and, from his response, it sounded like this wasn't an isolated occurrence with that individual. Mike profusely apologized, confirmed they still do regular automotive repair work, and said he would provide coaching to the employee who sent me away. read more

I went here for an oil change recently. Everything was fine until I turned my car on and noticed the check engine light on along with a "SERVICE TRACTION" alert that weren't there when I dropped my car off. I went back inside and showed the employee that helped me the photo I took of the alerts. He told me that it was probably like that because they lifted my car up and that the lights should turn off when I started driving. I drove to a local auto shop near my house and one of their employees helped me out right away. He knew immediately when he plugged in the check engine diagnostic machine what was wrong. They left something unplugged under the hood of my car! He was honestly more upset than I was at the time. A quick and simple fix if they would have taken the time to just check it out. The deals at Tire Discounters aren't worth the carelessness that they show their customers. read more

I bought tires at Tire Discounters on Polaris in Westerville in March. I got a screw in my tire on Friday last week. I had paid for a road hazard warranty and got a coupon for a free oil change. I went there on Friday and they said they were too busy and I had to make an appointment. Earliest was today at 1. (Six days later.) I got here and presented the coupon to the desk guy. He runs a paper that said I owed $167.00 and said sign here. I said nope. I have a road hazard warranty and a free oil change so he runs another paper that said I owed $67. I said nope, why. He says the warranty only covers the cost of the tire not the changing. So I said "I'm paying $67 to change a tire?" He says yes plus the $28 cost of the warranty on the new tire. I said screw the warranty. So I paid $33 for a free tire and oil change. The other three tires still have the warranty but I'll be darned if I ever come back here. They made me wait a week for an emergency tire repair and then tried to over charge me $130. watch out for this business!!! read more

I literally just went in there for an oil change and Cabin filter, it took two hours and five minutes I didn't have anything else done. Sat and watched JENNIE stand a chitchat with a man and his son about tires and rims. About five minutes into them walking in the door my keys were brought out by the mechanic , meaning that my car was done. They sat on the counter while she continued to chitchat. The father and son left without buying anything. after they left instead of looking to see if any cars were done and ready to be checked out she picked up her cell phone and sat and played on her cell phone for a couple minutes. How frustrating I will never ever go back there again!! I would avoid this place if your time is valuable to you! read more

I'm sorry to my fellow yelper's who read the other two reviews I wrote of this place. I had to come out and finally tell the truth about what's been going on with my car. I drive a normal Toyota Camry and for some reason I get careless workers doing a terrible job on the car. First at Meineke then here. Is it just the area or what? Meineke is seriously just down the street and I couldn't trust them anymore with my car after my flat tire that I had to point out. Now Tire Discounter decides to mess up an oil change? What's up with that? I seriously had my brother-in-law wanting to come in and talk to their workers for messing up because I had a huge puddle of oil in my garage that my husband had to clean up. I thought I would be a customer here for a while but I guess I won't be anymore. They completely just lost my service for good after what they did plus the wait for it to get fixed. I will have to find a new place that I can trust with my car. I'm sorry to leave this place but when it gets to the point where they clearly messed up I cannot keep coming back to this. read more

I'm having some horrible tire luck lately... 3 flats in 3 months. My tire is hard to find, and I definitely have paid the price. Luckily (?) this time I was near a Tire Discounters, and they were incredible. The guys were super friendly and not dudebro at all. They were really straightforward and kind about the whole process. They didn't have my tire in stock but gave me clear expectations -- and the next day my car was ready to roll. Oh, and they saved me over $100 from what I paid previously. Got charged a very high fee for diagnostic when it couldn't even be fixed there. I literally left the place with no idea what was wrong with my car, no idea where to go, and they still charged me a lot of money! I'll never return again, and I've been numerous times for tires and oil changes. Someone from corporate reached out to me and said they'd investigate because this is usually free of charge, advised they'd contact me back in 48 hours, and haven't heard anything back in OVER A MONTH! read more

This shop never seems to do the work right the first time. They also often seem to be either understaffed or overbooked. My car was in for a tire rotation, wheel balancing, and alignment. When they finished the manager said everything went just fine. I took him at his word and left. Well, turns out the alignment simply didn't happen and the wheels were all out of balance and caused shaking on the highway. I went back in and waited another 30 minutes for a redo alignment and then brought my car back the next day to redo the wheel balancing. They reported that all four wheels were out of balance and that they corrected them. The steering still shook but the manager informed me that the front left wheel was bent. I guess they just didn't notice that before and I took him at his word again. Well, the steering STILL shook after I went through the hassle of replacing the wheel. So, I went to a different shop and told them about the shaking, hoping they could figure it out. They easily diagnosed it as all four wheels were out of balance and fixed it right up. Now the car drives as smooth as can be, no shaking whatsoever. In the midst of this, my fiancé went here for an oil change. They told her they were overbooked and asked her to come back the next day even though she had an appointment. The car needed the oil changed immediately due to warranty restrictions so luckily they agreed to still do it. Out of curiosity I checked the dipstick afterward and they had overfilled the oil by about half a quart. I informed the manager and a tech corrected it. So, that's an alignment job that simply didn't happen, two incorrectly performed wheel balance jobs, a false wheel bend diagnosis, and overfilled oil. I get that mistakes happen and I appreciate the attempts that were made to correct the issues. But, this was a lot to happen in a row and on very simple procedures, which seems to be indicative of bigger problems. Also each time there was no real show of concern or apology that something had gone wrong or resolution to do better next time. read more

I mistakenly went to Tires Discounter to purchase a set of tires. I thought they were the store called DISCOUNT TIRES. Since I was already there I gave this place a chance to service me. My first transaction was great! This was at the georgesville rd location. After that I have had nothing, but HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Months later at this same location I went to have the staff check out my tires. I was being rushed off because they had other clients that arrived after me and when I spoke with the manager he was being dismissive towards me. Fast forward to about 6 weeks later. I decided to go to another location to have my tires rotated. I thought let me give them another try. I made an appointment two weeks in advance at the Gemini location. I rush there after work and arrived 5 minutes early. The gentleman take my keys and said it would be around 1 hour. I go over to McDonald's and stay there for 45 minuets and returned to my car hasn't even been in the bay. I ask the gentleman what's the purpose of having an appointment if you haven't even started on my vehicle yet. So the immediately start working on my car. After seeing that I'm the only customer in the store I ask if my vehicle was ready and he went and ask and I found out it has been ready waiting, but no one notified me. I had to ask for my vehicle myself. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS FROM DISCOUNT TIRE IN THE 15 YEARS THAT I HAD BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER. IM GOING BACK TO DISCOUNT TIRES WHERE THE PRICES ARE GREAT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE OUTSTANDING PEOPLE BE AWARE THE NAME IS CONFUSING BECAUSE THEY'RE SIMILAR. They have always been very clear about prices and other fees. I've gotten my tires here and they have a life time warranty. When I've had to leave my vehicle they have given me a ride home. It speaks to the level of customer service. I've always had excellent customer service. Despite not being an auto mechanic they have taken the time to patiently explain in detail exactly what is wrong with my vehicle. TD have never have disappointed me! read more

Alec did a very good job getting me in quickly without an appointment at opening. I drove over a nail and needed my tire plugged before driving my car anymore. It would hold air for about an hour or 2 before going flat. Dropped off the car at 8am and he called me around 9:45 letting me know it was done (I had a co-worker pick me up and bring me to work nearby). They use a patch/plug hybrid with liquid rubber around the patch, and all is well so far. I was happy with the repair and service. Only small gripe was it seemed just a little on the high side for price of $30 to patch/plug a tire. read more

I had a tire that was leaking air very quickly after refilling on my own the night before, and I needed to have it looked at urgently so that it wasn't an issue for me to be driving with my daughter. I walked into the Polaris store on a Friday evening around 5pm with no appointment and was helped immediately. Mike was extremely friendly and had my tire patched/plugged with zero charge. I went in yesterday and had a great experience. Rick first took care of me and was very professional and easy to speak with. I think Rick is new but he seems as if he has been there for years. Very knowledgeable and was quick to help out. Later in the day I got to work with Mary once again. She is so focused on the customer and you can tell she really cares. Every time I have been in the store she has always taken extra special care of me. I was hesitent to return to the store after a $4000 damage to my truck under the old regime. You can tell the business is being ran correctly now and you have individuals that really care. Please give them a big bonus this year for going above and beyond to take care of your customers. And the only reason I went there in the first place was because they were in the Christian blue pages and I thought that a Christian company would be honest! He had a sense of humor, and is by far the most pleasant automotive rep I've EVER met. Got my tires in record time, everything was smooth sailing (or driving, as it were.) Today, I went back for an oil change. Different car, but expected the dreaded service. But guess who was there, and even greeted me by name. Dave! My experience with the chain has been good, but not this store. My last visit in was for an oil change, rotation, and balancing. All the work they've done on my tires has been good. The oil change, not so much. The car hadn't been in the bay for 2 minutes when they called me out to look at it. They showed me a leak from the water pump and wanted $1000 to fix it. I passed. On my way out the door, the tech that found the leak pulled me aside and said he does work out of his home garage and would give me a better price. Stealing business from your employer? Shady. I went to a private mechanic who I trust, and they spent half the day trading my coolant system. No leaks at all. $25 for the diagnostic (the repair would have been half what TD wanted - even the dealer was almost $400 less). They were definitely trying to rip me off. I will only go there for free work on my tires until I find a better place. For tires they're fine. For anything else, steer clear. read more

Rude is definitely an understatement for this place. When making my appointment I was lied to. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that "when they could get me in" the wait time would be 3 times longer than I had been told on the phone. When I questioned this I was told that "unlike every other place they did things correctly". When I called them out for lying to me he tried to lecture me about being rude to someone who was obviously smarter than I could ever be. Their price might have been $11 less than down the street, but that discount was definitely the not worth the crudeness that this place treats what they see as dollar signs instead of customers who ultimately pay their salary. read more

Everyone here is very polite and professional. March 2017 I purchased a set of 4 tires which came with an alignment and wheel balance. April of 2017 I went back in due to the alignment not being properly aligned. February 2018, my vehicle is shaking when I drive, and I go back in and was told the tires were off balanced a slight bit. 3 hours after l left, the vehicle is still shaking. Not as bad but shaking especially around 70mph. I had a 3pm appointment and it was close to an hour before my vehicle was touched. Going on close to an hour and a half and I suggested a test drive since they say all is well.....one guy here came in at 2pm and is still waiting on 1 new tire. If you have an entire day or 3 to kill, this is where you want to bring your vehicle. Honestly, i like my vehicle fixed right, the FIRST TIME. BTW- It's a man's world around here because the bathroom is hideous. read more

I have been going to this location for all my tire work and basic maintenance for a number of years now for our families vehicles. This location has had some ups and downs with managers and their attention to detail has been lacking at times. I have to say that with Mike back managing this location....it's back to where it was years ago when we starting going here for service. Mike does a great job and is very customer service focused!! I took my company vehicle in for a tire recall from the manufacturer. After 6 months of waiting on this shop to get the tires, I contacted the manufacturer to check the status and found the recalled tire was replaced with another version and the shop had already had the new tires with the updated info. The tires were finally replaced under the recall but the vehicle was damaged by the shop. When confronted with evidence, an imprint of what caused the damage was laying in their shop, the manager finally decided to turn it over to their insurance company. I would NOT deal with them again! Update: This info was transferred from a Google review that I originally made in 2013. Tire Discounters insurance company paid for the damages but I would still not recommend them due to the store managers poor attitude and reluctance to take responsibility. read more

After buying a new car last year, the first time I needed to rotate my tires, I went straight to Tire Discounters to buy the rotate and balance package. I also had them put nitrogen in the tires. Some advantages of nitrogen are that you don't lose it as fast as air, and it isn't as sensitive to changes in temperature. The disadvantage is that you can't fill your tires at home. I've been back to this location several times to have my tire pressure checked or adjusted. This last time I stopped in, it was cold outside and the garage doors were closed, all but one. The open one happened to be where the nitrogen hose is, so I pulled up and waited for someone to help me, like I always do. Only no one came out. After several minutes one of the people from the inside counter was on his way out to check mileage on another vehicle, and he stopped by my window on his way. I asked if someone could check my tire pressure, and he told me I should pull into a parking spot because it would be a few minutes. Shortly after that a vehicle was pulled in to the open bay and the last garage door was shut. I saw no sign that anyone even remembered I was there for the next fifteen minutes. I left without getting my pressure checked, because I knew the Costco down the road would do it. Sure enough they helped me right away at Costco. It only takes a few minutes. Both places were busy, but Costco wins for customer service. read more
