Title: Extremely Dishonest Diagnosis & Refusal to Honor Warranty I brought my car to Firestone in July for a radiator replacement. Less than a year later, in May, the radiator failed again. When I returned, Firestone refused to honor their warranty and claimed my AC compressor was "bent" and that I "must have been in a car accident." This was completely false. I took the car to Tuffy Tire the next day for a second opinion. They found no accident damage, no bent compressor, and they were able to fix the radiator properly. Firestone charged me for a diagnosis, did nothing to fix the issue, and made an untrue claim to avoid honoring their warranty. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend avoiding this location if you expect honest diagnostics or accountability. read more

I had some spare time before dinner so I decided to get my oil changed. They closed at 7:00pm and Dana still took me at 6:00pm, I was very surprised. When I arrived, she greeted me with a huge smile and checked me in quickly, providing some small talk as well--she was super friendly, that's so rare to find these days. They have a nice waiting room with a Keurig coffee machine and water dispenser to help yourself. They provide the remote control for the TV to choose the program of your choice. My oil was changed within 30 minutes and Dana advised that I would require new tires soon. She recommended one of their brands and gave me a detailed estimate. I went in to get my headlights fixed and it turned into a 4 day fiasco. First they fixed the headlights by replacing a ground wire and then a bunch of lights lit up on my dash board and tried to claim i came in with the lights on. Then they forgot about my car and took an extra day to fix it. THEN they fixed that problem but now my hood won't latch all the way. Never going here again. read more

Called an hour before close on a Monday, couldn't get in but was assured by the associate my car could be seen at 7 am so I could easily make my 8:40 doctors appointment. Same associate apparently told 3 other people the same thing. The workers on site did their best to rush things along, but I was five minutes late for my appointment, and the workers there were keeping a tally on how many people were affected by this gentleman telling them they were first in line. read more

Scheduled an oil change and got in the next day east peasy! It was $15 less than valvoline and it took just under 30 min. Great customer service and I was happy. They said I needed 2 new filters and I said no thanks (I can get them and pop them in from an auto store for WAY less). They charge $55 for the cabin filter with labor and they showed it to me, super filthy. I got it for $19 at an auto shop and when I went to replace it I saw they put mine back upside down. I give 4 stars in the event this was a careless mistake but if it was sketchy to get me to come back that's not cool. Still great experience. read more

Very unprofessional. Take your car someplace else. We arrived 20 minutes early for a 5pm appt. to change 2 tires. It took 1.5 hrs. We pulled out of the parking lot only to realize our new tires were not balanced. We returned and told the cashier, he argued with us that the new tires were balanced because he did one of them himself. He offered my husband safety goggles to go into the work area to observe. Turns out the one he did was not balanced. We left after two hours in the shop with tires that are still not balanced. While my husband was in the garage area, the mechanic was throwing and hitting things when he got angry. We will not be back. I'll gladly pay someone who knows what they're doing. read more

Nobody looks forward to auto repairs or costly, but necessary, maintenance. It takes time and money. Luckily, this location makes it as good of an experience as possible. Their level of customer service is top notch. Their team is professional and the store is clean and sharp. I recently had to have brake pads and rotors replaced on my 2013 Altima. I know I could have saved a few dollars elsewhere but you get what you pay for. I was able to make an appointment online and they had my car done in a reasonable time. They went through every line with me on my bill and even found an obscure side running light bulb out and replaced it. Soon after, I saw that one brake pad was not making full contact with my rotor so I stopped in to ask them to look at it. No arguing. No quibble. Just "when can you leave it with us?" They took my car and made an adjustment and made it right. Made it perfect at no cost to me. When my other car was due for an oil change, I figured they had earned my business. Instead of the usual Walmart oil change, I made an appointment here online and the cost was only $2 more. But for that, I did not wait in a line or have to guess when it could be done. Again, their customer service was outstanding. Simply put, they treated me like they valued my business and understand that nobody WANTS to spend money fixing their car. This place used to be awesome, but has gone downhill in the last couple years. Went from a personal, small town type shop to an impersonal corporate minded place. The most recent straw that broke the camels back for me was scheduling an appointment for AC service, then showing up at the scheduled appointment time only to be told, "We don't have an AC tech here today. When can we reschedule this for you?" To which I replied how about tomorrow (Saturday). The response was, "We don't have AC techs on the weekends" What kind of full service auto repair place only offers some of the services some of the time. So disappointing. read more

Excellent service! We stopped in on a rainy night close to Christmas, with a headlight that needed replaced. I have a Saturn, so the front end of the car has to come off to get to the darn headlight, and it costs $$. Firestone gave me the cost right up front, had me sign off on it, and got to work. The waiting area is cozy, and if it isn't busy, the mechanics will sit down with you and shoot the breeze. The front desk did a great job explaining a major repair to another customer, telling her the issue, showing her what happened, and helping her understand what she could do. We ended up being there past closing time, but all the employees were laid-back and got us out of there as quickly as possible, without complaint. Although I don't head up this way often, I'll probably stop up here when I need to get my wipers replaced. Great job, friendly service, quick work. read more

Please read this review in its entirety and please do not use this store. Unfortunately, this is precisely the type of business that deserves to fail. Do not trust anything they say about your vehicle and always get a second opinion from an independent mechanic. On 8/5/19, I visited this location in order to check my alignment and see if I needed alignment. Shortly after getting my vehicle up on the lift, the service advisor came out, gave me a pair of safety glasses and asked me to look at something at the vehicle. I walked to my car and both the service advisor and the technician pointed at trailing arm bushings (AKA rear beam pivot bushings) and said that they are dry and cracked. I saw minor imperfections in the bushings, but nothing out of the ordinary. Both the technician and the service advisor stressed that it is imperative to replace the bushings. I specifically told them that I am going to purchase new tires and I want to make sure that the vehicle is lined up before I put the tires on. After getting my vehicle on the alignment machine, the service advisor came out and said that my vehicle was out of alignment and that I needed alignment. I decided to purchase a lifetime alignment from them. After beginning the alignment service, the service advisor came out and said that they are unable to align one of the rear wheels "because of that bushing," but the alignment is close enough to where it will not affect tire wear (although the alignment is outside of the spec). If I don't replace the bushing, the tire wear will be affected in 15k miles. An independent mechanic told me that the bushing has "nothing to do with alignment" and he knew right away (without me telling him first) that it was Firestone that recommended the unnecessary bushing replacement; per the independent mechanic, "those bushings do not need to be replaced unless the vehicle was hit in an accident." Additionally, after doing some research, I found out that there is no adjustment to align the rear wheels on this vehicle and the only way the rear wheels can be aligned is by taking off the wheel hub, and adding shims to it (and obviously the bushing had nothing to do with it). On 8/22/19, I took my car back to the same Firestone store in order to have them put the tires on and complete alignment once again. I went to the same store specifically because at that point I knew from my research that they would not be able to align the back wheels without putting whims on the vehicle and since the bushings were replaced, I wanted to see what they would say this time. On 8/22/19, I was assisted by the same service advisor that assisted me on 8/5/19. After completing the alignment process, the same service advisor told me that they were not able to align the rear wheels (obviously, that was expected). When I asked the same service advisor what the reason is, he said that the vehicle is not designed for the rear wheels to be aligned and since it's only 0.1 (unit) out of spec, ordering additional parts is not warranted. As you can see, the reason for why the alignment could not be completed went from "because of that bushing" on 8/5/19 to "the vehicle is not designed" for the rear wheel alignment to be completed on 8/22/19 and this was all from the same service advisor. While I was waiting on the tires to be put on on 8/22/19, I heard service advisors call customers and tell customers horror stories about how they have just discovered something wrong with their vehicle and how they "caught it before" something disasterous happened. I have heard the service advisors quote over $100 for a cabin filter replacements. I also heard the service advisors call customers about their "dry bushings," etc. This store, and I suspect at least the entire franchise (stores owned by the same company/individual), prey on individuals that trust them and that don't know a lot about vehicles. This is giving a very bad name to Firestone, which is a well-known brand that customers seem to trust. read more

Over the past few years I've had 3 or 4 times when my car told me I needed air in my tires. Happened again Friday night. I called and they said "bring it over." They were very busy that weekend because of a sales but they came right out to my car and put air in it. They couldn't get me in that day because they were booked so they scheduled me in for 8 Monday morning. I notice Sunday that I had lost several more pounds of air and didn't want to risk it being flat Mon. morning, I went to a nearby gas station. It was one of those dual air/vacuum machines and it costs $1.50 for the air. I have a Masters Degree, and I may be a little stupid, but I while my hands were freezing as I was trying to read all the instructions on how to operate the thing. You'd think we were launching a rocket. OK I regress, back to Firestone. I took the car in and they got right on it. Unlike some places I've dealt with, they didn't try to sell me a new tire, they said it was a nail and they fixed it. I really appreciate that. So what do I get at the Polaris Firestone Tire Store, quick service, honest sales, television and a Keurig Coffee machine. Plus they have a battery that is rigged up as a multi-port iPhone battery charger. Shop here, they're good honest folks. read more

We typically get service between this Firestone and the Firestone on Orion. Both are great. We had an issue with our truck not shifting last week and we took it to the Firestone to get it checked out. They did call me back within a couple of hours and indicated that the problem was the transmission. They advised they could do the work, but that it would cost us more to have it done there then at a shop that specialize in transmissions. He also advised no charge for checking it out. I am so happy to see that there are still honest companies out there that are really trying to help the customer and not trying to sell you something at a higher cost. They were willing to lose our business for the transmission. (If anyone wants to know, transmission rebuilds are not cheap) However, by them letting me walk away and go somewhere else for this work, I will be a life long Firestone customer. We had the same experiences with the Firestone in Florida. They are just great to work with. You never feel pressured into buying something. When you need tires, they give you all the options and don't push the most expensive ones. read more

Great place for repairs. I've had a few tires and oil changes here and just had several bigger issues like a fuel line leak handled. Prices are fair. My only issues were that one of the issues I brought the car in for was not addressed but I took it right back and they fixed it within minutes, then when I brought the car in my dash and interior lights were working fine but now aren't, perhaps blown fuse when changing the battery, so I am going to go buy fuses and replace those, but that's a $5-10 fix. Other than that I am happy and would recommend them for any repairs, small or major. read more

Took my jeep there to get brakes done, came back to my window being off track. They took a part my door to look at it but they didn't put It all the way back together. I discovered that i had an industrial size screw in my front tire, and i had just gotten off work my car was shaking and making loud noises and was off balance. I knew that i wouldn't be able to get on the highway like that to go home. The closest shop was Discount Tires on Gemini Rd, Columbus OH, i stoped there aprox 40min before they close and the manager didn't take me in pretty much epitomizing everything thats wrong with retail, where he was condescending told me to come back the next day at 11 am because they were getting ready to close. I called Firestone Auto Care after i googled the closest autoshop and Joe the manager answered the phone told me that they will take me in and that the fix won't take longer than 20min. They took care of me fixed my tire ( a simple plug kit) and i was out the door in 25min. I want to say BIG thanks to Joe Willis the manager and Ronnie the Technician Mechanic for taking me in and taking care of me, this has easy been one of the best experiences of my life !! Fantastic customer service. A couple of mistakes were made, but the gentleman up front was completely honest and forthcoming about it. I went in for an oil change and was told it would be about an hour. It ended up taking 2 because of the accidents, but I was completely compensated for my time and I absolutely will be back. My wife went in on two consecutive mornings with low air pressure in her tire. The first day, they pulled and patched a nail, and sent her on her way. The 2nd morning, they could find no leaks, and told me on the phone that "their best tech patched it, but must have not properly re-inflated the tire". Right. Whatever. I said fine, I would be in the next day myself it were low again. And of course, on day three, it was again low. Kyle said "you need a new tire - you are welcome to look in our dunk tank yourself, there's no leak". Being a car guy, that made no sense at all, and I told him so. I also passed on replacing my fairly new Bridgestone tire. I started to head for the local Goodyear, when Donny, the helpful service manager (I do like the guy - he just didn't fix my problem), offered to take a look. He pulled it and came back with "it's leaking around the wheel weight - we got it. I showed all my guys, too, that you really have to look for things." And off I went at 11:15AM Saturday morning. By 4PM, the air pressure had gone from 38 lbs to 33 lbs. Off to Goodyear I went - within a few moments, they pulled it for me and showed me the large bubbly leak through the center of the treads, where a nail had obviously been prior to Firestone patching it a few days earlier. "Not sure how they wouldn't have noticed that at Firestone". Twenty minutes later I was on my way, and funny thing, the tire is still at 38 lbs three weeks later. So after four separate trips to tire shops, my tire was repaired. No new tire required, and after three attempts with Firestone Polaris, definitely no more trips there. They've got my $35 from the initial patch job, but they won't touch another of my vehicles. If they can't patch a tire, what will they do on an actual real repair? I don't want to find out - and neither should you. read more
