The low tire pressure light was on in my car and no matter how much air I put in it wouldn't fix the issue. They took my car back to check it out. I expected to wait several hours because no matter what I bring my car in that seems to be the norm. However after 15-20 minutes they let me know I'm done. Apparently all my car needed was to have the display recalibrated and they added air into my tires just in case. They ended up charging me nothing for the service. Phil and his crew are excellent at taking care of people. I have been here for multiple things, the experience that stands out the most, was When I got a diagnosis. for my Honda civic door latch, I went to the Honda dealership, and was Not only charged a high diagnosis fee, but Honda gave me the wrong diagnosis, This location fix the problem and discovered it was something smaller, that what the Honda dealership quoted me. I trust NTB, this location with everything. They always get it right when they give a diagnosis, The only advise I would give to upper management is that They overwork their people, they are always short staffed, please do something to fix this. This is the most trusted place in this area, please treat the employees right, They have a nice TV in the break room when you wait, but they should have a cellphone charging station in the break room, This location has a great team, I hope the new branding can keep reasonable pricing, Like NTB and the quality service that I have received over the years.

Turns out some of the staff from the one I generally go to have transferred up here. (A good sign that they are staying with the company.) Had some preventive maintenance done. It was done far more quickly than I expected, and they fixed another small problem I had mentioned. Always better to stay on top of things than to fix them after they break. Their credit card has six months same as cash, which is a good deal if you pay it off. This location is handy off Polaris.

Our journey started with a check engine light, took our suv to the dealer and they replaced a transmission sensor switch. Then gave us a list of additional items such as replacing the front and back brakes/rotors, replacing the left and right steering tie rod ends, replace left and right lower control arms, Automatic trans fluid exchange, power steering fluid exchange, brake system fluid exchange, replace cabin filter, replace air filter and alignment for a total of $6000. We took that list from the dealer to our normal mechanic on Saturday and he did all the work at a lower cost. We then scheduled for an alignment at this Firestone location since we purchased the Lifetime alignment when our son worked at Firestone back in 2020. When we went back to pick up our vehicle the guy started off saying the VIN number on our suv did not match what was in the system which I know is BS considering our son and his manager originally input our vehicle information. And our suv has been there prior times for alignments. More than likely he was just trying to get us to pay for the "Lifetime Alignment" again. Then the guy tried telling us that the tie rods needed to be replaced and it was going to cost $1300 - Um, What? We had just had them replaced the day before by an ASE certified mechanic. He just couldn't do the alignment as his shop does not have the equipment for it yet. We ended up leaving and while driving home we noticed that the steering wheel is not lined up and now sits turned to the left. I have no idea what they did to it and now need to go somewhere else to fix what they did. Our mechanic called the location and spoke to the guy about the tie rods and they quickly back-peddled on what they had originally told us. It's even more funny as our mechanic even has pictures of the work they did with the new tie rods. It truly was about taking advantage of their customers versus doing what was right. It is so refreshing to deal with a repair shop that provides the service you require to resolve your automotive repair needs without the added "fluff". Competency, integrity and professionalism are the attributes I associate with Drake Auto. I used Drake Auto for multiple services relating to suspension system, ABS braking system, electrical and SRS (airbag) system diagnostics and repair. I trusted Drake Auto in working on my and my children's cars. I was extremely happy with my experiences and will never go to any other automotive repair shop again.

I have said this in other reviews and I will restate it again here; experiences at automotive…read morerepair shops are always going to vary. Most of the time when people need automotive repair, it is not typically under positive circumstances. Short of routine maintenance, we do not usually gleefully walk into an auto repair shop excited about what we will hear is wrong with our vehicle and how much it will cost to make the repairs. Typically, when we need a repair, our vehicle has broken down or something is broken on it that demands repair, therefore we are (understandably) already in a negative frame of mind. To speak to our experience here at Drake Automotive, my son and I brought his much older truck in to have it checked out because we were given an estimate for repairs from another auto repair establishment. Because the estimate was so high, if nothing else, I at least wanted some kind of confirmation that what the other shop suggested was wrong with the truck, was in fact what it needed. It is also worth mentioning that because this is my teenage son driving it, I want to be **very** certain that the vehicle is safe and reliable. Now, I am not naïve enough to believe that auto repair establishments are not out to make money, because as is true of any business, there are few other reasons, but I am also not gullible enough to be overcharged to make repairs that are both expensive and unnecessary. Ben, who I presume to be the owner, did a **really** fantastic job looking over my son's truck from top to bottom, including checking the oil. When he called to let us know what he had found, the items the other shop suggested be fixed were not necessarily what was causing the issue with my son's truck. Ben also took the time to explain to me exactly what he found, and educate me on how he came to the determination of what did need to be fixed on the truck. I do have a little bit of working knowledge about automotive repairs, but not to the extent that these were things I could diagnose myself. Ben prepared an estimate and gave me some recommendations about what to do to remedy the main issue we brought the truck in for. He also made some suggestions about where we could take the truck to have some of the work done that he would not be able to do (i.e., purchasing tires and getting an alignment). The estimate Ben gave based on what he found to be in need of repair was **far** more reasonable than the other shop. In fact, the other shop did not even mention some major safety concerns that need to be addressed. To be clear, Ben did not speak poorly about the other shop nor make derogatory or defaming remarks; he told me what he felt the problem was, and I formed my own opinion about the other shop's diagnosis. Because of this, I am of the opinion that Drake Automotive Service conducts itself with integrity, class, and respect for other professionals in the field, even if the other professionals are potentially overlooking significant issues. This is not to suggest Drake Auto does not care. This only means that Drake Auto is committed to building their reputation on the *quality* work they do, versus cutting down other professionals who may not be putting in the same quality of work. Beyond the exceptional service, I really appreciated the spacious lobby (especially for social distancing), big screen TV, and welcoming ambiance. Masks were worn which suggests that they genuinely care about their customers. Another thing I appreciate about Drake Automotive is that the owner is there, in the shop, working. It is not a big conglomerate corporation profiting by the billions. They a small shop trying to get through the pandemic like the rest of us. I intent do bring all of my vehicles to Drake Auto for years to come because I would very much like to see this business succeed. It is a breath of fresh air when an automotive repair shop conducts itself with integrity and invests quality in the service they provide.
