Be careful been here for years and it's twice now that i go to jiffy lube and they mess up my car and refuse to pay for damages even though they are responsible and they are supposed to ! march 9.24 went for oil change spent 4 hours there with my children spoke to 4 different people and repeated 4 different times im there for a oil change they fixed a valve coverage leakage and i told zulma and stephen when i got there and when i left do everything that needs to be fixed and do the oil change too , 1 hr and a half in some other boy calls me up to the computer for the 3 rd time and askd which oil i want told him do the best one i have the money for it right now just fix everything and they said ok , asked again before i left if everybting was done and they said yes , i'm back here now 5/17/24 and apparently they never did an oil change since july ! i'm livid and in march my car did NOT have a oil casket leakage otherwise they would of told me that on march 9,24 therefore that falls on jiffy lube to pay for damages ! been on the express way and my car kept turning off at high speeds with my children in the car because i've been driving my car since march believing i had an oil change done , that's extremely dangerous to be driving around with a car like that jiffy lube basically took my money to just mess up my car! now i'm at cicero location because district manager jose wants a mechanic to diagnose it ? i don't understand for what because at the end of the day my car was not like this when i brought it in march they need to pay for the damages and give me a free oil change because they should of never let me drive off in march without oil when i spoke to 4 different people that day them 4 hours i was there this definitely falls on them and they're trying to find any way to walk away from this STAY AWAY FROM HERE!! read more

It was an ok visit. The staff was okay. They left my motor lid dirty didn't bother to wipe it down living the oil stains. Didn't reset the maintenance require light in the dash after the change oil. Also my air tire caps I had where metal red ones I come home to find out they replace them all with black plastic one!!!! Worst service! My elderly dad went in there with his van and a) they did not want to honor a coupon which he was in his right to use and met the criteria. They only wanted to take $5 of the $10 off. He pointed out that why $5 when he met all the criteria and they had to honor it. Why would they do that? B) Were they so lazy that they did not want to give him the full service? I went to the one in Glenview and I was given 5 star treatment where they included vacuum and window cleaning. Why would this shop not want to vacuum or clean the windows with their signature service and tell my dad "well take it to a car wash!" . I am really upset at how they treated my dad. The service has steadily declined since JL got rid of their long time manager -Mike. I have been a customer here for 6 years and this pass year I've seen the customer service decline. The new staff is only concerned about cross selling products, coolant top off, brake fluid top off, etc. I went in for my usual oil change and about an hour after leaving the shop, my check engine light went on. I didn't have any issues with my car prior to getting the oil changed. While the staff was changing my oil, one of the employees sat in the driver seat of my car with a mask that wasn't covering her nose. I didn't see any COVID precautions taken, no hand sanitizer nor wipes available for the customers. The employees also didn't clean the windows like that have the passed 5 years. Getting rid of Mike was a big loss for JL. I will no longer use their services. read more

I come in just for air in my tires - they immediately open the hood, start removing my air filter, start popping all the caps under the hood. I specified several times that all I need is air, absolutely nothing else. They then begin to be very pushy, trying to sell me wiper blades, lights, etc. Mind you, all I asked was simply for air. They then start asking me for my name, phone #, address to put in their system. I don't understand why you need all that info for just air in the tires. As soon as I start up my truck - the check engine light appears. Upon arrival I had zero lights on the dashboard. Now my check engine light is on. This is extremely frustrating. They turn the light off for me, I leave, & then the light appears on the dashboard AGAIN. Now I'm starting to get angry, very angry. I call them & ask to speak to the manager, a lady answered the phone and stated that she was the manager. She explains to me that this is a common issue with these trucks. Now I become super flustered, because 1. I went to school for being a mechanic 2. My truck is in great condition & I never had an unusual light appear on the dashboard until I came to Jiffy Lube. This is super upsetting because all I wanted was air. Nothing more. I had to come back to the store for them to take a look at it. I don't we already about 30+ minutes away. Now they're wasting my time, gas, & energy. They caused me extra headaches that I honestly didn't need. Also, I used to manage this location maybe 10 years ago. A lot has changed, and by change not in a good way at all. I would not recommend you to bring your vehicle here. So, they were unable to resolve my check engine light issue. They said that there's nothing they can do about it, that they recommend me to take it to a mechanic to have them fix it. I'm really trying to keep my cool as I'm writing this review. They tried to offer me $15 off my next oil change. I don't want that. I want this check engine light issue resolved. I will never be coming back here for an oil change. I do my own oil changes. When they realized they were unable to resolve the issue they became very defensive & passive aggressive. The technician starts blaming it on my truck that their crew did nothing wrong. At this point I don't want to hear what they have to say. They told me to go visit their mechanic on Cicero & Wellington. That it's no longer their problem. Now they took even more time out of my day, I'm still currently working, & they continue to waste my gas. Went in for an oil change. I was in and out in less than an hour. They did their routine check and topped fluids. The staff are very polite and they explain everything their doing and recommend future maintenance. Most importantly they are not pushy and rude when it comes to up selling other services. They had some kid attempt to change the oil but for some reason instead he was digging inside my car's glove compartment and completely broke it off. He also removed a shield that was behind it so now the engine is exposed. Horrible!!!! Had $700 worth of brake work done only to confirm from my dealership that they weren't bled properly. I told the employee Efrain that but he insisted they were. Then when I go back to tell them what the dealership said, he lies and told me that they didn't have the correct equipment to do so. Why would you say the car was ok the drive then? I missed out of work from Uber for 4 days because of the failed test I got from the technician the day of inspection. I completely understand if something was wrong with my car and that's what the reason of the result was. I'm a highly trained technician and went back home to check out my car and everything that was noted for failure on the inspection was not true. My family is not going to eat out of mistakes from untrained technicians. Someone needs to address this issue with me ASAP! Don't know who is in charge of this location of Fullerton and Austin but I'm very disappointed that this happened and someone needs to be held accountable...... I have brought my car there three times and each time the service has been quick, respectful, and thorough. Some of these bad reviews are from when there was different ownership and some of these bad reviews are just some white people who are still adjusting to the changed complexion of the neighborhood and businesses therein. I have zero knowledge of cars and, regardless of my gender, that is pretty obvious from the get-go. I didn't feel that I was being taken advantage of, any additional services I was offered came as a result of what the manufacturer was suggesting for my car at that mileage. The worker showed me the computer screen to verify. Overall, this is a great Jiffy Lube location they were able to do everything I needed them to do and even installed a light I had purchased but not yet installed for free. If you want an efficient, cost competitive, and easy experience I would definitely consider this place. read more

If you're looking for magna cum laude flunkies to work on your car that failed the local dealerships drug test, the JIffy Lube on Austin/Fullerton is your spot. I took my car in for an oil change and to have them replace a tail light bulb. Simple enough. I was one of two people there when I rolled in. They said it would be 5-10 minutes for everything. Cool! 55 minutes pass... In between texting and playing Candy Crush, the rocket scientist told me they couldn't change the bulb because it required a special tool. A quick Google search revealed this special tool is a standard T25 torx drive. There is nothing special about it - it's a standard automotive size. So when I went to change the bulb myself, I discovered the upstarts at Jiffy Lube stripped out both of the bolts holding the tail light in. They tried to use a standard phillips screw driver to remove the bolts. It required an hour of fabrication to undo their handy work and a trip to the VW dealership to replace all of the parts they damaged. This would have been an easy $250+ bill at the dealership to fix if I wasn't handy. read more

Super informative without the added pressure. Him and I made small talk and as we're talking, I realize I can't find my credit card! UPDATE, JUNE 9TH 2020. After calling and speaking to a number of unhelpful people I was able to get a hold of the District Manager, Mr. J, Reyes, and the help he provided me is the sole reason for Jiffy Lube getting an updated review and 5 stars. Mr. Reyes looked up all of the services I have had and made me feel like a valued customer. He was welcoming and understanding to my concern with my AC compressor messing up AFTER being serviced at Jiffy Lube. Mr. Reyes set up an immediate appointment with me and thoroughly checked my car (unlike the other employees that waved a flashlight in my engine and said they did not do any damage). Mr. Reyes was also able to identify that the belt Jiffy Lube changed was loose and causing the noise on my air compressor. My car was taken in to be fixed right away. He told me I can always call and ask what location he is at so he can assist me in the future. Mr. Reyes saved me from spending $1800+ dollars today and I am so thankful that he was the one helping me. So long as he is an employee at Jiffy Lube, he will be THE ONLY person I contact moving forward. read more

My wife came up to this jiffy lube the day of 4/20/22, I don't really write re views but I felt the need for this one. Me being a business owner and customer satisfaction is number one priority on my list, I thing same is for other businesses. Before my wife went she ask me to take the car to get an oil change because businesses usually don't show the same respect for women as they do for men especially when it comes to cars. I paid her no mind and told its Jiffy Lube there is nothing that can happen with them it's a brand new car. She went and I come home from work and she told me it was the fastest experience ever and her windshield wiper says low. She asked me don't the suppose to top off the fluids ? I reply yes. She said well my windshield wiper still says low. I told her she was trippin and maybe they did not update wiper fluid on the dash. I called 4/21/22 at 930am and explained this to the person on the phone with was the manager, I asked some questions like " do you guys give a receipt of all the things done on the car" she said no and I asked do you guys update the car info system when things are done she said no. I explained to her that it's possible that you guys didn't put windshield wiper fluid in the car. She replied that could not have been possible, be I was here. She I left it alone and told me wife, she was tripping again. I went and check the fluids and there is no wiper fluid in the car. Now I am like I am tripping so I googled it and it stated for the wiper fluid sign to disappear, you have to pour some in and the sensor will stop. So I drove back up to jiffy lube, I made eye contact with the young lady my wife described that handle the car. She send someone out named Kenny, very nice gentleman, in my eye this is how a manager suppose to accommodate a client. I informed him of the situation, he stated my apologies I will handle this. I didn't hear no apologies for the service from the manager especially after she reassured me that the mishaps via phone could have never happened on her watch. I thank Kenny for his kindness and the informative things to look for while being checked. Five mins in jiffy lube is a dream but I rather wait the hr to get it right. I will never come to this jiffy lube only because of management. I know it is as little as wiper fluid but it the principle. If I pay for a full service I would like a complete service, not a disagreement with my wife, not for my to research the truth and not for me to come back to the same place as yesterday to finished a simple job. Gas is way to high to be running back and forth. I type this to say I know we get complacent in out day to day jobs or careers and mistake happens, but when you are in customer service industries, making sure the customer is satisfied, can take you and the business a long way. This jiffy lube was very good. They took about 14 minutes in total. From time in to time out of bay. They changed my oil and filter , and tire rotation. The price wasn't bad $ 17.99 for the tires and $ 59.99 for the high miles. All fluids top off vacuum inside of car and all windows clean. But what impressed me the most was the team work to have all bays full and do all that work. O ya they even put air in my tires. I also got $ - 8.00 off early bird.
