There is only 3 bays here so I try to come during off hours if I'm using self-service as it gets pretty busy, a lot of auto enthusiasts use this place from Corvette's to your Cadillac's. They've recently added air drying hose this summer I believe to this location. The only thing to make this a 5-star place is it needs foam polish guns as an alternative to brushes, but I will be a returning customer regardless.

Actual Horror Story - Complete Ripoff…read more Before I start to write my horrible and unbelievable experience I had at Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Melrose Park on Mannheim Road I'll need to give some information leading up to what should've been a simple oil change ($71.76) , so please bear with me. On Saturday, June 27 a day before my road trip to Colorado ( a 15 hour drive / 1,000+ miles) I decided, at the last minute, it would be a good idea to do an oil change. Being a really hot day I opted out to take it in for an oil change. I arrived at the location and stayed in my vehicle because social distancing. At the end of my oil change I pull out from the garage doors and into traffic. I soon find myself returning to shop because the oil pressure light has popped up on my dashboard. I pull into the garage and explain to one of the employees ( this gentleman wasn't the one who serviced my car) why I'm back. For the next several minutes we try to figure out how to reset the dashboard. My car is checked for any leaks and hood is popped open for inspection. It doesn't go away and he suggests if I drive the car it would go away. While driving I'm concerned about my car, because this is not a normal light to have and I can feel my engine being a bit off. I pull into the nearest Advance Auto Parts (by Mannheim and Grand). I start looking up online for "oil pressure light coming on after an oil change" everything I find online points to an oil pressure sensor going bad. I got no tools on me to do this job in this parking lot, so before I drive home (a 7 mile drive) I decide to look into the car's manual about the oil pressure light; it suggests pulling over and calling the dealership. I call the dealership, which they are about to close their repair service shop, and ask for their advice. The tech tells me to stop driving my car and get it towed to their facility on Monday morning..... I get a family relative to bring over some tools and help me replace the oil pressure sensor ($35.19). We install the new oil pressure sensor and it's still reading low oil pressure on the dash. The oil pressure sensor I had was not faulty. We decide to do an oil change ourselves, something I thought would be repetitive since I just came from getting an oil change - " it must be my engine" my mind thought, so we proceeded to purchase the parts: Oil filter ($10.49), Mobil 5w-30 5Qt ($24.50), Funnel ($1.20) and 7 Quart Drain Pan ($2.80). As soon as we took off the oil plug from my car only 1 Qt of Oil was in my Engine! My car was never serviced! It was just drained of its own oil and I believe not even a new oil filter was put in. Thank god my car had at least 1QT of oil in its Engine!. The amount of serious damage that could've of occurred if I had not pulled over to service my car would've lead to thousands of dollars of repairs to a blown engine! I don't know if this was done on purpose or incompetence. I'm glad the shop was closed when I called after seeing only 1 Qt of Oil in the drain pan, because I was seriously furious and our conversation would've turned vulgar quickly. I tried to write this as conscience as possible, but with some detail to illustrate how this shop ruined my whole day, almost ruined my vacation plans, and almost destroyed my car's Engine. I want a full reimbursed of what I paid at your shop and at Advance Auto Parts! Please see pictures of receipts with time and date stamps, as well as the process of servicing my car in Advance Auto Parts and the 1Qt of Oil we drained from my Engine which I ended up pouring into the empty Mobil 1 container which I still have!

I liked the system where your window sticker gets scanned. I liked being able to add extras or not. I liked being able to come every day and I often did in the summer months. I really miss and appreciate this service and its pricing now that I live in New Mexico where everything is costly - and even a $10 car wash doesn't do as good a job and Wash U. My car is always dirty now unless I go to a place where I wash it by hand. As they say, the grass is always better on the other side and in the case of car wash places this is certainly my truth.
