Stopped in today and the service was excellent. Fast and efficient, just what I needed and it's great to know I can stop within 3 months and get my oil checked for free. Now I can feel good about driving long distances knowing my car's maintenance is up to date. read more

dont come here. and dont deal with tje guy with the turbant. he made me wait for over an hour, half hour into it, they promised me they'd work on my car, and then when it was time to work on it he started an argument over nothing because he obviously didn't want to work over time. i wasted 1 hour and 20 minutes for nothing. this place has very low ratings for a reason. dont wastw your time. dint give them a penny. they should close their doors and never come back to this town. read more

Paid $60 dollars for the first oil change on my brand new car. Noticed a small oil leak an hour later which was not present before. Either the filter was improperly installed or the plug wasnt put on tight or damaged by the technician. Also my tire presure light just came on for the first time which was stated as checked on the invoice(obviously not). Never again. I shouldve read the reviews here. read more

Probably the worst oil change outfit I've ever dealt with. They used to be ok years ago but we'll never go back to this place - or, because of them, we'll never go to another Jiffy Lube. A simple oil change ends up costing eighty or more dollars - especially when a woman is served. They try to sell you things you don't need. Last time I went there they told me my power steering fluid was ok. My car doesn't have power steering. When my wife later took her own car there she mentioned this and was rudely treated. They changed her oil with SAE 5/30 when she asked for 10/30. When she challenged them on this they treated her rudely and said that's what they've always used. That's B.S. - we don't live in Alaska. Rude service, and they don't know what they're talking about. Avoid this place, especially if you are a woman! read more

do not go hear!! they busted a hose while attempting to change oil and state it was already broken. they do not take accountability read more

WHERE DO I START.... These guys are horrible at what they do..... you have one job to do and you can't pull that off.... the guy came to tell me that the oil filter was loose and oil had leaked out, ok well you guys were the last ones to change the filter.... then after my car was done I checked the oil and they had over filled it... they supposedly cleaned my windows except I had Cleaned the car before I came in and they made it worse then when I came it... oil finger marks on my car oh yeah and the big FUCKING Stain of oil on my white interior. I didn't even ask them to fix anything I just wanted out of there.... I will get the oil stains out and drain off some of the oil that they overfilled.... THIS PLACE NEEDS SERIOUS HELP, OR NEW MANAGEMENT...... I will document this and if there is any damage to my car motor from the last oil Chang I did I will be going going to my uncle who is a very high powered attorney... this is bullshit and I am so pissed! read more

Man oh man, these guys had 0 understanding of why the computer-generated estimates were different than what they told customers. But they tried to bully people into signing those "estimates" or they refused to work. The woman in front of me gave up and decided to proceed anyway. After I went through the same ordeal, I said no, and they backed up my car out of there so I could leave, calling me stupid in the process! Man, don't even bother with these guys, head over to Oil Changers around the corner on San Pablo, night and day difference. read more

I did not have a good experience here. First, they told me my total would be $71.15 and then when it came time to pay they asked for $93.28. Why the price difference? Apparently they typed up the invoice wrong. A little annoying to agree to one price and be charged another. But fine, I understand mistakes happen. I pay and leave. The next day my car is acting very strange. Smells like oil, driving sluggishly, can hardly make it uphill. I take it back because I figure it has to be something they did. I hear the guys talking about it from across the garage saying "oh that's not anything we did." They told me it would be a 30-40 min wait and I said that's unacceptable. So someone comes over and opens the hood, and their technician didn't put the cap on the oil. Oil had been spilling all over my engine! It's amazing it didn't start a fire. This could have caused long term damage to my car and all I got was a half-hearted apology. Take your car and money elsewhere. read more

Convenient, but unreliable. They will say they are performing a service and not do it (check tire pressure, top off steering fluid, etc). They get the oil change right, but I wouldn't trust them for anything else. read more

A bunch of careless jerks. They overtightened my oil drain plug. Using a torque wrench only takes a few seconds, but I guess they couldn't be bothered. They also took out my air filter try to upsell me on a replacement. A lot of quick change places do that because people don't realize how cheap and easy it is to do yourself (maybe $5, no tools and it only takes a minute). That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that when they put the old filter back, they left a paper towel stuck to it so that when I turned on my A/C a few minutes after I left it made a crazy loud noise because the paper towel was buzzing against the fan. read more

The business recently contacted me, apologized, and resolved the situation. Thank you.

I strongly do not recommend jiffy lube near medical center. ......after oil changed. ....they say stop by we will top off fluids n oil if needed. ....for the 1st time took over 30 plus minutes just to check air in tires. ....2nd time i asked to top fluids n oil if needed, only 1 car in front of me oil change had been done the tech was wiping the windows very slowly then a 2nd tech went over the windows again while I'm sitting there waiting just to be topped off. That day was not busy at all. I sat waiting 30 mins maybe longer, i left without service. I am / was a loyal customer, convenient location. ...but not anymore. Poor customers service with repeat customers. read more

I have used jiffy lubes on the east coast with great results. This was was the same. Pulled in, oil changed, did their job promptly and correctly. They do have a good idea of best oil for your car. Previously I used Midas (I wouldn't recommend them, the people screwed up and didn't check my dip stick afterwards and shorted me 3 quarts of oil), but JIffy lube seems to be a better option. read more

For all readers, just ignore the comment posted by Cesar, the manager of Jiffy Lube. I contacted him, like he asked in his post, and I received no reply. So, that pretty much sums up my entire experience of this Jiffy Lube. read more

Never going to this location again. Before going in, I called and described a discount coupon I was bringing in and asked if I needed to book an appointment. I was told not to worry about making an appointment and that "the coupon's fine, just bring it in on your phone". When I came in however, I was told to keep the coupon or promotion code until everything was done, and of course after the job was completed I was told my promotion code was no good at this particular location because it's a different franchise b.s. etc. The guy didn't even look at the promotion code, but expressed his experience at having to deny the promotion, which was neither expired nor exclusive to out of state locations. When I asked to speak to someone in charge, the manager came over raising his voice that they have no idea what code I was going to bring in when I called, which cannot be believed when I explained very well on the phone which promotion I was responding to. This location is clearly taking advantage of an advertised promotion that they are clearly have absolutely no intention of honoring, and are obviously well experienced at denying. read more

I called this location today and asked how much for an oil change, and was given the price, and then I asked what time is the slowest time to bring in my car, and they wouldn't answer my question, and gave me attitude, so I will not be going to this location after reading everyone else's reviews... read more

Much like a previous poster, I don't know much about cars, and my car is new to the area, so I ended up at Jiffy Lube. Went there twice and they were fast and my car still ran, so I went there a third time. They said that they couldn't change my oil because there was something wrong with the plug and the threads had been stripped. They told me I need to go to a mechanic and get a replacement part. So how did this happen since I got my oil changed here the last two times? No response.... I wil not be returning... read more

Don't go! if I could give minus stars, I would. I simply wanted an oil change and the pressure sales tactics were unacceptable and unwanted. read more

well, I'm assuming they actually added new oil to my car in lieu of old oil, but besides that, rest of service was horrible. Sat there with my 1yr old (we both have same level of impatience) for 15min to even drop off my car. An hour later the attendant mumbled that they checked all of my lights and none needed replacement, after I had specifically told them a light was out. After a few rounds of stressing this point, the technician checked the light and (imagine that), it was out. Don't waste your time here...20 other auto service joints in the area who can do better/faster/cheaper job. read more

I've had 2 good experiences here with their regular oil change. There was hardly a wait and everyone who worked there was really nice. They didn't try to sell me on anything else except tire rotation which I passed on. The waiting area is decent - they have water and a tv and seating. They vacuum your car too which is nice. read more

Came in today for a oil change. They broke my dip stick. Then told me they couldn't change my oil.I told him you need to fix my car!!! It was not broken before coming in!!!!! Just came in for a simple oil change!!! He said he wouldn't fix the damage they caused!!! Manager was Very Rude !!!!!! Ask for his manage and he gave me name of Oscar with no last name just # 510-881-6507. Call the phone number and it just a voicemail with no info. I will be calling Jiffy Lube corporate first thing in the morning. My car is no in the shop waiting for a new dip stick. Also will be call the BBB too!!! Will never go to this location AGAIN!!!!! read more

I have been coming to this Jiffy Lube for years and they have always treated me with respect. They do not get paid on commission, so they have never tried to upsell me anything. I haven't use my car in a while, so I decided to head to the Jiffy Lube to get it checked out and get an oil change. There was no wait, I pulled right up, and they started working immediately on my car. They looked at the oil and told me it was still looking good and there was no need for an oil change. Nevertheless they topped off my oil checked my brake fluid and sent me home without charging me a penny. This is the way a business should run. I definitely recommend it to everyone, and I will continue going back myself. read more

Really bad... will never go back- tried to not honor a price that they had hanging on a banner outside and on the prices inside.

I asked for B1 maintenance for my Honda Fit. I tried to pull out the manual when the young employee said he'd never heard of anything like that and the older employee asked me mileage and said he could pull up what I needed. I was not wise. I didn't pull out the manual and check for myself, and advised me to do maintenance that didn't need to be done for another 30K miles. He said my manual advised synthetic oil, and no, the car does not need synthetic oil. It also did not need coolant replaced nor did it need the transmission fluid changed. It did need a lot things inspected that were not inspected. I should have been more aware and checked the manual, but he should have been honest and not advised me to buy things the car didn't need. I'll never go to a Jiffy Lube again and I recommend you don't either. read more

Very friendly staff. Heading out of town after graduation on a road trip to SoCal and then back to Colorado. Everything that needed to be done to hit the road was done within 45 mins. Vacuum and Windows cleaned as well. Asked for advice who to see for a faulty cigarette power adapter needed for phone charging and tunes. They sent us to Frank's who also gave us outstanding service - all in just a couple of hours. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Great experience. So fast after being to two other JL and one not having the correct filter and the other being an hour long wait. These folks were fast and informative. Well done! read more

I went last Monday for a simple oil change. I arrived around 2:30 pm and I was finished and out by 2:40 pm. The service was quick and without any hassles. I looked at the poor Yelp reviews before going, but decided to go anyway as I was not looking for any mechanical work other than an oil change. I definitely would go back and I highly recommend their service. read more

I have been here several times and they are always friendly and fantastic. They have also gone above and beyond, including fixing my windshield wipers which a different jiffy lube location had put on incorrectly. I always go to this one for my oil changes! read more

I've seen some negative reviews for this location on yelp, so I decided to write one because so far all of my experiences have been super great. The guys who work here and have helped me the past three times I've come have all been super kind, honest and helpful. I felt super comfortable admitting that I wasn't fully familiar with cars and they were respectful of that and offered knowledge to the many gray areas I have. This was a nice change since I am used to a lot of bs from a lot of guys (sorry to specify, but it's the truth of my experience) who work in auto shops. They are also super quick and were able to get my oil change done within half an hour, which I was impressed by considering it's located in a city. Overall I really like the people who work here and have had great experiences so far. read more

I highly recommend this capable, honest and flexible crew. Impeccable service. Never written a yelp review (positive or negative) but I told the service professionals I would because they were great. Definitely returning.. read more

Richard, the guy at the front desk who charged me seems like a cool guy at first but he then offered me a discount lower than promised. They also offer you "$15 off"an oil change, and when you get there they try to offer you a bunch of services your car doesn't need, claiming that the dealer "recommends" them... I would steer clear of this place if possible and go to a more trust local mechanic. read more

oh my, i wish i'd read these reviews before continuing to go here. i've been obliviously getting my oil changed here for several years now because it's close to my berkeley office and i sort of guessed they were doing a good job? i'm a girl; i don't know shit about my car. i am mostly displeased here because they always try to push things on me i feel i don't need, but then again, i don't really know.; it's more of a hunch. but on my most recent visit, i agreed to have my transmission fluid and everything else changed. because i was so resistant to the $180 quote, he lowered it to $160. it took them quite a while (it wasn't jiffy, and i was the only person there. i see why now after reading these reviews) and they apparently went down this whole checklist of things to supposedly do. when i drove away, my windshield fluid light went on. fuckers. this is like the only feature i use on my car. we drove up to healdsburg this past weekend and my car suddenly started smoking. the boys got out to check and said there was spilled oil and fluids all underneath the hood and that whoever had changed my oil did a terrible job. i hope they at least changed the other fluids i paid for. oh, and the waiting room is abysmal. my reading choices were ebony magazine and highlights for kids. i guess i'll find somewhere else to go. read more

I went there early morning for an oil change and Cire was lovely. She was so honest and had great customer service. she gave me the discount and was so helpful I told her I 'd return for the $120 transmission service later. I came back and she was gone but the new guy quoted $220 for transmission fluid change. I told him I had an old car and did not need the upgraded fluid so he checked and saw that it was recommended for cars 2007 or later. When they were about to start a big bully of a guy came in and tried to intimidate me into getting the $220 service. I told him that I had already spoken to his co worker but he continued to accost me in a threatening manner. He said he would note it down on record and that if something happened to my car they are not responsible. I tried to clarify but he cut me off and I got upset. I no longer trusted them, because of his bullying I considered the possibility that he would even tamper with my car . I requested my key and went to oil changers on San Pablo . They were great. I paid $109 and am very satisfied. That guy at jiffy lube is a bully and a great big jerk . read more

don't go here - they are rude and incompetent. first they dropped a wrench into the engine compartment, which took a while to get out, then as i was driving off i notice that they didn't reset the maintainance light. it took 3 of them to figure it out and in the process they smeared oil all over my dash and door. read more

I'm not sure why there are so many poor reviews here... (Maybe they place has gotten better after reading all the bad reviews??). I have only had pleasant experiences here. Every time I have come in they staff here has been very helpful and they always have good prices. This last time I came in, they did a good look over on my car and let me know things that needed to be fixed. Now, I don't know a whole lot about cars, so I made the guy at the counter explain every thing IN DETAIL about what needed to be done. I also asked for his honest opinion about what needed to be done right now and what could wait for next time. He was very honest, which I really appreciate. I got my oil changed and the most important things fixed/replaced. The guy at the counter also wrote down everything else that needed to be done in the future and all the things the manufacturer recommends along with their prices. I was told it was going to take about 45min, but then got a call after 20min saying my car was done! These guys were great. Great customer service, very quick, and reasonable prices. Nothing to complain about! read more

Hello, I had my oil changed at service center #889 in Berkeley, CA on 8/4/15. On 8/20/15, the dust cover under my car basically fell completely off. I had to call a tow truck to hoist up my car because when I went to pull out of my driveway, I could hear a loud scratching noise coming from underneath my car. The noise was from the dust cover dragging on the ground. Only 1 bolt could be found holding the dust cover onto my car. One half had completely fallen off. I am most certain that the Jiffy Lube tech did not properly secure the dust cover to my car. I had to pay the tow truck company $100, was late to work, and had to pay Audi $72 for replacement bolts. I also purchased new windshield wipers during this visit. They work just as poorly as the ones that were replaced. Waste of another $50. Overall, this horrible and inconvenient visit has made me not want to return to a Jiffy Lube since I cannot expect excellent results. read more
