I got an oil change there on 11/17/25, 957 miles ago. The only reason I take a vehicle in for a simple job like that is I don't want to hassle with the used oil. So yesterday morning I noticed a big oil slick in my driveway and my son climbed under the truck ( I was in good clothes) and discovered the oil filter was loose. Like a full turn by hand loose. Absolutely pathetic workmanship for a job I could have done far better myself for 1/3 of the price. I won't be back. Pretty sad to get a service so poor from a grown man that not too long ago any middle school boy could be expected to do. read more

I don't want to say anything negative cause I really did enjoy going to Jiffy Lube. especially this location on the Guide. But after several months, I guess now over a year I haven't been back. I spent extra money to have the tech guys enjoy something above just an oil change. Something I could have done myself. But I had the money to let them enjoy the different work. All of those services went smooth. But, the oil change I received had me cringe. Having a V8, big SUV, I didnt ever think the techs under the car would take the oil filter off and replace it with one half the size. A couple day after the services were done I brought it back for low oil pressure and major oil leak. Loosing 1-2 quarts every time I just drove into town. (I'm a stickler to making sure none of my vehicles leak oil in my driveway) I had a puddle form over night. When I got back to the shop after the initial service, they added a quart of oil and said the drain plug was stripped. Recommended I go to the other jiffy lube that could do more of the work. I went straight there (less than 3 miles). I spent almost an hour waiting for a tech just to acknowledge me in front of the garage door. I understand being busy. So that wasn't a big issue. When I finally explained to the technician what the other shop stated they took a look under the SUV. After only a few minutes they quoted me $5,000-$6,000 worth of work. Stating my oil pan gasket was leaking horribly, and i absolutely needed both my differential fluids replaced and new gaskets. And they added another quart of oil before I left. Stating nothing about the stripped oil drain plug. I left horrified with what they just quoted me. for weeks I was having to add oil every time I drove. So I had to park it until I could get time to figure out what happened. Spending over $300 for the services I had done including the Oil change I wasn't going to spend another $5,000-$6,000 for something I knew wasn't an issue. Again I make sure all my vehicles don't have a drop of oil leaking. A couple months later I finally decided I was going to look over my suv and see what is going on. And decided since the oil change was not going the way it was supposed to I am going to change it myself. after draining the oil and removing the filter. That's when I realized the issue. The filter was not sealing Correctly and the size of the filter was half the size of what was required. i put the correct filter on and put new oil in. Not surprised there has not been any oil pressure problems since and absolutely not one drop of oil leaking. I did replace the oil drain plug to ensure the plug was not stripped as they stated. I am not sure if that brief time of low oil pressure and low oil caused any issues with my motor. I hardly drive it now because if there is any issues I don't want to make it worse. First time at jiffy lube, really wasn't expecting much as I've always heard bad things about corporate oil change spots but from the start they were amazing. First off they let me bring my dog in the waiting area without any hesitation. There was no wait, the staff were quick, friendly and professional. They didn't push anything on me but made good suggestions and gave us really reasonably priced options for a few things like a license plate bulb being out. I go to the Jiffy Lube on Meridian all the time because it's convenient. I drive for a living so I have to get my oil changed about every two months. I know already how much they are overcharging for the oil change; I used to change my own oil and essentially you're paying for the service and the cost of a case of oil but not getting a case of oil. I made my peace with that. What I cannot handle is that they are pulling out various parts of your car like your cabin filter and trying to get you to replace it. It's a TOTAL SCAM. First of all, don't open and dislodge customer's glove boxes without their permission. No one wants to get pulled over and frantically search for a car registration that's been lost under their passenger seat when you took off the entire glove box to access a filter the customer never asked you about. Also, the cost for them to replace my cabin air filter (good for 15-20,000 miles) was over $100. The part costs $5 and has a 4 step process that takes under 5 minutes. Hey, JL: it's 2019. Let's stop scamming women with gross price gouging on easy fixes they could do themselves. You know what would have been honest? Just asking first if they could take apart my car when I all I came for was an oil change and then not jacking the price of something so cheap and easy up 1,000%. In 2019 I wrote a negative review because Jiffy Lube on Bakerview, Bellingham WA, failed to tighten my oil filter and oil leaked all over my driveway. I decided to give them another chance (although nobody had the courtesy to get back with me about it). The end of 2021 they did it again! This time the filter loosened enough on my Chevy Silverado to dump almost all the oil onto my garage floor. What an inconvenient mess! I spent the afternoon cleaning the garage and finding someone to crawl under the truck and tighten the filter. Fortunately I keep extra oil on hand because the truck was undrivable otherwise. Never, ever go to a Jiffy Lube. I've learned my lesson. I originally came to this location for a coolant flush that cost $100. I returned two days later because my car was leaking coolant - they said they fixed it and it was safe to drive. A few days later, my car overheated on I-5, I paid for a tow truck, and had to miss two shifts at work (stuck in Lynnwood, WA). After taking my car to a better establishment, I discovered that Jiffy Lube scammed me during both of my visits. The first time, they never flushed my coolant despite charging me for it. The second visit they did not fix the leak. Had they admitted to me the leak was out of their control, and referred me somewhere else, I would have saved $800 on the damage done by overheating. Not only will I be writing a formal letter to Jiffy Lube about the incident, requesting a refund and coverage of the $800 and the cost of the tow truck, but I will be writing to the Bellingham Better Business Bureau. read more

Almost a 5-star. I would give 4.5 if I could. I went here for just an oil change on my old Subaru but the guys noticed my serpentine belts were bad and beginning to crack. I asked how long it would take to do and they quoted me an extra 20 minutes. However, the job took an extra 40 minutes because they didn't have the proper tool on hand. They apologized profusely and gave me all kinds of discounts to compensate me for my time without my having to ask. They replaced the bulbs on my license plate for free as well. All in all they knocked off $37.00. As a previous reviewer mentioned, there should be a separate restroom for the employees. While I was waiting, one of the employees had explosive diarrhea in the little restroom and then treated me to the after effects when he opened the door. This is not an exaggeration, I could hear it all. Were it not for that lovely experience, give em all 5 stars! read more

I went into this location for an oil change a few months back and was told that I urgently needed to flush the coolant in my vehicle, which would cost an additional $100. They made a big point of shouting back to the mechanics asking if I could make it until my next oil change, to which they responded, "I mean I don't recommend it, but you might be able to make it another couple months. I'd do it now, not risk your engine overheating." I declined because I didn't have that much money at the time. It felt a little weird and I don't know much about cars, so I am always weary of what I'm told "needs to be fixed right away" in these situations. I've since taken my car to the Jiffy Lube downtown (non of this up-selling nonsense there!), and to Master Lube, both of whom said everything looked fine. I asked specifically about the coolant both times and was told it looked good. Whoever manages this location, you either need to adopt a more honest business practice, or find out which of your employees are taking advantage of your customers. Very disappointed. read more

Very impressed with the service at Jiffy Lube. Considering how many customers they had, and how few workers were scheduled, The employees at Jiffy Lube were incredibly helpful and efficient. I had come in for a free oil change provided by the dealership that sold me my car, and without any question they made sure the dealership guaranteed the free change. Thankful to have advocates! On top of that, they gave a very thorough inspection and oil change! The guys who helped me today were named Jordin and Matthew. I had a great experience here. The staff was respectful, explained the different oil options in a straightforward manner, and then didn't proceed to try and swindle me into replacing things that didn't need it. In fact, they pointed out that my air filter was gunked up, and when I said I'd like to do it myself, they showed me how to get to it. That's a level of integrity that deserves 5 stars. The folks at this location are incredibly nice! They went above and beyond expectations for any oil change business. Case in point: After bottoming out on a steep driveway this morning, my boyfriend's car had a small plastic panel hanging low. It was making all sorts of horrendous noises when driving at high speeds on the highway. A fella named Chris kindly offered to help get the plastic cover screwed back up to the car and we were on our way in no more than 5 minutes. These guys are awesome! Thanks Chris! Dishonest manager! I came to the Guide Meridian location for an oil change, I do love how fast JL is for an oil change but I will not be using them ever again. I have in the past always used a competitor coupon since the basic oil change price is substantially higher than most places. So across the street Midas had a great price, but a wait. Ran over to JL and showed them the coupon. Wyatt, the manager said he was "hesitant to use the coupon" because the only reason Midas offers the coupon is to "replace your brakes without asking and charge you for it" um, seriously? What a gigantic bunch of bull. I asked him what coupons they take and he offered up places that weren't even local. They don't take coupons from non local places, I've tried in the past. Obviously they don't take them, why lie to customers and pretend you do? I want to spend my money at local establishments that aren't liars. I'll never be back and I'm actually informing the corporate office/franchise owner today. Gross. Must be why there were 5 or 6 employees just standing around. Nobody wants to go there. Where I always go for my oil changes! Just a regular change and a new oil filter was $80. Seems like a bit much but I got the one that you change every 3,000 miles! & they vaccume out my car! They are hella friendly, get the job done, and also fairly quick! It is first come first serve! And I always get discount offers sent to my email :) I recommend them! read more

I cannot believe how kind and accommodating these folks were! Anthony was a gem, as was Ridley (pretty sure this is his name). I explained that I was a single mom and in the process of moving, that I couldn't currently afford some of the recommendations. Anthony listened with empathy and understanding, and advised that my coolant was testing fine as it stood, so it was not an urgent fix. I informed him that I had a coupon, and he didn't even ask for it, just gave me a discount. They were quick and efficient, and even moved a bunch of my kids' crap on the floor to do the vacuum job, NO ONE has ever done that for me before!!! Just recently moved up north from the Bellevue area, I was in desperate need of an oil change. I was going to just take my car in to the dealership but they tend to up charge. So I went on Yelp and decided to give this location a shot. Lol. NEVER again will I be returning, such a disappointment. I called ahead to make sure no appointment was needed before coming in. They were not busy at all (now I know why) & told me to come on in. I arrived to a guy trying to open my door and get me out of my car. My 3 month old was in the back seat crying and he was just standing there hovering trying to direct me to check in. I told him I will check in once I'm ready, clearly I had my hands full. I finally made my way out of the car to him still standing there *omg* Vanessa proceeded to check me in. She is so not personable and not friendly to deal with...just seemed super rough to deal with. She only offered me two options for oil changes that both cost an absurd amount to what I usually pay even at the dealership. They were quick to finish once they got started, but the quality of work and customer service is lacking. They marked on my receipt that they vacuumed my carpet and washed my windows. What a joke! I'm sorry when you use a dirty wet rag to "wash" my windows, please don't. It ended up leaving dirt & streaks on my windows and side mirrors. They were cleaner prior to them "washing" them. The vacuuming was non existent.. They clearly weren't busy but acted like they couldn't do a half way decent job. Don't mark that you've done something when you clearly didn't do it! These guys were great. I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. They were very friendly and professional. The only thing I can complain about is they were a tad pushy about all the 'extras.' I went there just for an oil change and I ended up switching what kind of oil I used (I guess they couldn't guarantee regular oil) and a bunch of other little things and I ended up paying $100. Not really knowing anything about cars, I took their advice, but I kind of feel like I didn't need all the stuff they were selling me. But other than that...great experience, fast, easy. We were on a road trip and our low oil light came on. We still had about 2000 miles before our next service was due, but we also had close to 2000 miles left of our trip so we thought it would be better to just get an oil change than put more oil in.
