I've gone to Lynden lube for service for a while now and didn't have any issues until now. The wait was typical, and pricing is still fair however, the motor oil that was left on the hood of my car and my driver's side window were an unexpected and disappointing surprise. The guys behind the desk were helpful and gave me a full refund. Unfortunately a refund doesn't provide an answer or a solution as to how half of the hood of my car was covered in motor oil. Initially I thought that they just hit a little careless while washing the windows when I thought what I saw was window cleaner on the hood. Turns out they'd gotten oil on the hood and driver's side window. On the driver's side window it looked like someone had lazily tried to wipe the oil off, but instead ended up just smearing it around on the window. That mix of oil and water has gone down into the window seal and now when I roll my window up and down that oil and cleaner mix just smears all over the window. Lastly, every single button or switch in my car was adjusted and not put back. Sure, I get it you might need to reset a thing or two during the service, but those things should be set back to how they were found, and not left up to the customer to restore. Happy for the refund, but disappointed that we won't be bringing our vehicles there anymore, and suggest that our friends and family do not either.. read more

First, I've driven by this location numerous times a week, but didn't give it a thought, until today. I needed to have my oil changed in my new to me CRV. Previously I've done my own oil changes, but I simply didn't want to do it this time. I searched around and the nearest location I could find that could fit me in was 20+ miles away and it wasn't clear that it would be done until later tonight. Then, I realized I should check with Lynden Lube. A quick call showed that I could drive up and they'd fit me in. I drove the 10 minutes to the location and entered a very nice welcome area. I was greeted and when I explained what I needed they took down my information and took my key. I sat down, booted up my computer, figuring I could get some internet work done. It seemed that I'd barely logged into their guest wifi (nice touch) and opened my browser, when they called my name. I went up to the counter and the service was completed! Synthetic blend oil change, new filter, checked and topped off all my fluids (ie, washer fluid, brake fluid, etc...not gas :-) They even vacuumed the inside of my car! :-) The total price was equal to the larger chain places, but done in a fraction of the time! I was in and out in under 30 minutes and my CRV was happy once again! I highly recommend Rob and Lynden Lube & Auto! After my last experience I had no reason to go anywhere else, plus the fact they offer a free loaner car if you are getting your vehicle repaired here. I was ready to get the infamous exhaust manifold repair done on my Ram 1500, dropped off the truck and was given a rental, checkin process was speedy and car was on with heater ready for me just outside the door. As soon as I sat in the loaner vehicle I felt like incredibly dirty. First, super thankful for a loaner car so I was not going to ask for another car but man this thing was dirty. The heater was on and it smelled terrible, seats stained badly, crumbs and nasty junk all of the gear selector, cup holders etc. When I picked my daughter up from school she had nothing good to say other than how dirty the car was. Having a loaner car is a big deal that sets your company apart, making sure they are clean for your customers would provide a better experience. I picked up my truck about closing time, I felt pricing was fair especially when considering they give you a loaner car. As soon as I left their driveway I heard a weird noise but did not think something could be wrong, I then drove straight for about 4.5 miles. As soon as I made a turn I heard the noise again, I get out of my truck and start looking under my truck with a flashlight, I notice the driver side wheel well shroud is hanging down and scraping my tires when I turn. I immediately call the shop and the owner answers, I tell him about everything so he apologizes and ask's me to bring it in first thing the next morning so he can get me on my way. I bring it in the next morning at opening and am told they should have it ready by the end of the day, they had another loaner car (different car this time) with same experience (dirty car). I was a bit shocked that they were not going to fix this right then and there, assumed they were busy so I took the loaner and went home. Less than an hour later they call and say it is ready! When I went to pick up the truck they asked me if the truck has been in an accident or have I hit anything with the front of my truck, I told them I have owned the truck since new and no I have not hit anything. The guy behind the counter kind of rolled his eyes and said they can tell the number was out of alignment which is the reason the shroud had come loose (I do not think so). How come all the sudden I am just now having the issue. I still like the shop, it's clean and very customer friendly, staff for the most part are great but the should focus on a few things to make the experience 100% positive. read more

My vehicle indicator states I needed diesel exhaust fluid...I've never seen or heard of it so I called Lynden Lube & Auto, spoke to Ryan, he said the staff can fill my DEF at the required amount needed at 7.95 per gallon. I asked about the service fee...he said, no fee...unless I wanted an oil change with the DEF. Next day, I brought in my vehicle to Lynden Lube and Ryan was at the front counter, he said it might take 1 and a half hour as there's a long line of customers waiting for oil change service. I agreed to wait but 15 minutes later, Ryan said they filled the DEF without needing me to wait as it was a simple task. The end result was that I charged 1.75 gallons of DEF and service was free of charge, and also that task was completed in less than 15 minutes. I couldn't have been happier with the result. Lynden Lube where you pay more for less. This is the first time in my life I've ever been charged over HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) for a simple lube job. This was my first and last visit to Lynden Lube, guy there actually told me they "try to be competitive" when I asked why it was so much- better try a lot harder to be competitive. My usual place was at a car dealership in Bellingham, where for around $60 I would receive a lube job and full inspection, as well as have any concerns looked into right then and there (They also would wash my car and leave mints). Wasn't expecting mints here at Lynden Lube, but was expecting a fare deal, not to get charge more than I have ever in my Life been charge, what a rip-off, absolutely ridiculous! Was very pleased with the fast and courteous service i experienced getting my cars oil changed today. The shop was cleaner than most restaurants ! Staff was wearing masks and were all pleasant. Price was competitive. The waiting area was clean and spacious. I was surprised a Keurig machine was available but it was nice to have fresh coffee while i waited. Will return when in the area. My first time here I was shocked at the price $100 for an oil change using regular oil in my Hyundai. Needed it changed again and every place in town was booked (at an average of $65) so I had no other choice. I pulled in to one of the lines and went inside. After a half hour my car was still sitting in line, while I watched two other cars pull in another line go right in and then finish. Then the third car came in and went right in, again my car sat in the same place. At the 45 min, mark my car finally moved in and it was a while before it came around. Got the oil changed in my car... the next day it started blowing "black smoke" burning oil. Had never leaked oil before this. Under the hood there was oil everywhere. Reservoir only 1/4 way full of oil. Not sure what happened but took it back and asked them to clean the oil up. They did clean up the mess and we have not had a drop of oil leak since. I do fee like the oil change should have been refunded. read more

Knowing Lynden lube may be busy on a Saturday.. they told me that my wait should be 30-45 minutes but I sat there for 1:15 mins before leaving without service. Cars that got there after me were helped before me and they didn't show any care that I had been waiting there. Although my 18 month old child was sitting in the car with me screaming they did not try to get me in and get me on my way. The only time they hurried was when I had to call them to check on the wait time and was told "another 30-45 min" I asked them to move the vehicles behind me and they rushed to do so. The best! We take both of our vehicles there for oil changes regularly. They are always nice, fair, quick, and their new remodel makes waiting very comfortable! I love that I feel like they truly take care of me and my cars. I trust them. I don't feel like they have ever recommended any service I didn't need. My wife and I recently moved to Lynden and we've been diligent about doing business with local businesses. Our Chevy Trailblazer began leaking oil shortly after the move and I took it to Lynden Lube and Auto for an estimate. Oil leaks can be hard to diagnose and I had anticipated it would cost upwards of a thousand dollars to fix the leak. However, what a pleasant surprise it was to hear Rob Heerspink tell me the repair would only cost $268.
