This isn't about the service done on the car but rather the wait time we have had. My partner called ahead the day before to check and see if we would be able to bring our car in early and have our tires changed (all 4). We were told if we came early the tires would be here and that we could get the service done in roughly an hour. (I planned for two at most just for safety, so ballpark 10am). We came right before 8am, and were told the tires are not arriving today until 10am. So we left (walked) and went to a nearby coffee shop to kill time. Came back at 10am to hand off keys (theypicked up keys probably about 10:20am) and it's almost 1pm now and we aren't done yet. The deal to save $30 per tire was nice to replace all 4 (total of $120 savings) was a good value, but the time we spent here has cut into the second half of our day and we have family visiting and staying with us for their birthday brunch (so this much time aside was not in our plans. The man helping us today was courteous and friendly, but this place definitely wont save you time unfortunately. We finished around 1:15pm! read more

Visited JiffyLube #245 Friday, July 12, 2024 Pasadena, MD 21122 Justin, CSA, greeted me and ask what service I needed. I told him my car was a 2001 and I just wanted an oil change and my cooling fluid topped off. After checking my engine, he came back and showed me that I needed brake fluid. I agreed. Danny and Ken where there to explain about my 2 lights that were out, so I had them replaced also. All these things were explained in a clear, courtious way. This was without a doubt, a very productive and pleasant visit to Jiffy Lube. They cleaned my windows inside and out. The manager was rude to my friend and I. When we rolled up they seemed like they didn't want to do our oil change. The manager that we needed a new air filter and when we said no thank you, he threw the old filter in the engine bay before he reinstalled it. They made us stay in the car and they didn't vacuum the inside. I highly recommend you guys avoid this Jiffy Lube. My husband brought our car in for an oil change, along with wiper fluid, brake fluid, and coolant , etc. For additional charge. Upon bringing the car home, he went to check that all was changed/filled as he usually does and all of the levels were still very low. They hadn't changed anything in our car and that was confirmed upon bringing it to a second jiffy lube location. When he told them the case, they really didn't seem surprised by this. Horrible service don't take your car here if u actually want a car. My boyfriend took my car here for an oil change. Next thing you know my car cut off. After taking it to the dealership to find out the problem they said not only was there hardly any oil in my car but the oil that was in there was extremely dark and dirty which means it was old. and jiffy lube gave me a oil leak that I never had. first they were going to cover the repair cost now they are saying they didn't do it. DO NOT TAKE YOU CAR HERE. I have been without a car now for over a month thanks to them. This is horrible service and it has really inconvenienced me by not having a car. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Please do not take your car to this location. I took my car to have a scheduled oil change to this location because of convenience. Upon arrival the staff was standing talking instead of greeting me. Once my oil change was complete, I was notified that I could return to my car. When I got to my car, I noticed some of the amenities that they offered was not completed such as windshield, wiper fluid replenishment, windows cleaned, and carpet vacuumed. I asked the gentleman why wasn't it completed he said "oh we can do it for you right now." Once that was completed, I put my car in reverse and another customer noticed there was a huge puddle of oil on the ground from my car. Once again, I had to make it aware to an attendant that they dropped the ball on failing to execute another task. They pulled my car back in and said they forgot to tighten the oil cap for such a simple task. They had my car pulled in for quite some time. They pulled it back out said everything was OK and even offered to change my brakes, I declined because who in their right mind will get these people to do any additional work to the car. I took my car to my regular oil change company to have my next scheduled oil change completed. When I went to the shop they informed me that the previous company, Jiffy Lube, who change my oil put the cap back on incorrectly and they cannot get it off. I took my 2003 Honda Odyssey to this Jiffy Lube location a few months ago. They used an air wrench to tighten the oil drain plug on my mini van. They tightened it so much that I could not loosen it with hand tools when I wanted to change the oil myself when my van subsequently needed an oil change. I ended up stripping the oil drain bolt. I called this Jiffy Lube asking them to loosen the bolt and they refused. This is only the latest and most serious of several incidents I have had with this Jiffy Lube. They changed my motor oil when I asked them to change my automatic transmission fluid. The staff behind the desk is always clueless and I always have to wait around forever for service. I have occasionally used them when I don't want to change my oil myself because they are super convenient to my house; but they are so inept and are pains in the neck to work with. I am giving this place 4 stars.....because I got a call from the manager. I digress. I went to get my oil changed, and I had a coupon for 15 dollars off. I was told "that" coupon does not apply here......(jiffy lube heartland) but they gave me 5 dollars off. Ummmmm.....ok. So then they told me online there are ten dollar coupons. (jiffy lube Baltimore). So I paid, and looked it up....and showed it to them. No one offered to adjust the price. (38 dollars for an oil change). Sooo.....to their credit.....after I left.....and was MILES away....I got a call from the manager. He offered me 5 dollars cash because he didn't hook me up when I showed him the coupon. I am torn......he should have hooked me up BEFORE I left...........THAT is customer service. However he did offer after the fact. Jury I still out. Expensive for a synthetic oil change starting at $80. Additional quart is about $7.50. But they do vacuum and clean your windows, windshield etc. But that's pretty much every jiffy lube. Pretty quick though, not much wait time. read more

Next time I'll take that drive to a better quality jiffy lube, I tried going to one closer to me and regretted it. I arrived and was greeted by 2 female employees Jaizmeine and Karyn that looked like I ruined their day when I pulled up. I was instructed by one of those employees to pull my own car into the garage ... I've been going to jiffy lube for SEVERAL years. SEVERAL locations. Never have I had to pull my own car IN AND OUT of the garage. On top of the stank attitudes I received my receipt and got into my car to see that my windows hadn't been cleaned and my floors hadn't been vacuumed. These are the perks that I continuously go to Jiffy Lube for. I've never had to ask for these services to be done. I am not sure why the reviews aren't better, but my trip to this Jiffy Lube location was probably the fastest and yet most efficient oil change that I have ever experienced.... All of this given the fact that I showed up at 9am on a Saturday. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. They didn't try push too hard on the additional services and even vacuumed the interior. You should be able to mitigate some of the cost by bringing one of those coupons that you can easily find online. I will definitely return for an oil change. read more

I was let down when I tried to get an oil change at a different place in the area and was driving by and decided to stop in at this location. I drove up and was immediately greeted by someone named Randy. Randy opened my door and escorted me to the waiting area. He even directed me to the coffee and promptly told me I would be contacted by the service manager shortly. He was very professional and kind which is always a bonus. I waited only a few minutes before I was contacted to discuss the work I would like to get done on my car. I always mentally take a deep breath when this happens because I fear of price and/or being taken advantaged of, but this experience was pleasant. The guy suggested I get my filters replaced, but there was no pressure to do so and I did not feel like I was being cheated at all. I went back to my seat and was surprised when they notified me they were done. I looked at my watch and it had only been 25 minutes! I was beyond impressed. I went to pay and afterwards, Randy again walked me out to my car, opened my door for me and told me to have a nice day. I am quite pleased with the service. I turned on my car and at first I couldn't tell that my car was on because it was running so quietly. The above and beyond politeness was an added bonus. One customer waiting with me even remarked, "Do I have to pay for the kindness too?" I hope this type of customer service is consistent at this location. This place is definitely overpriced. I have a Honda Fit, and they charged me 80.99 for oil change. What I usually paid is about $50. And they charged me $35 extra for air filter. The only good thing is that the service is fast on a Saturday. I probably wont come back if I am not in a hurry. read more

This will go down as one of the worst experiences in customer service I have ever encountered. My friend was visiting from Northern New York and was due for an oil change, so I suggested we head to a Jiffy Lube because I have been using thier friendly reliable service wherever I am living/traveling. The gentlemen working there were not occupied when we pulled up, aside from the man cleaning the windows on the garage door. The man who approached the car greeted my friend and I by stating "this car takes synthetic oil and will be 80.99" he continued to mention over an over again that we could find better prices elsewhere but that will be the base price here. My friend leaving the car (we had a busy day ahead of us and just wanted to take car of this task) mentioned that she understood that potentially compared to other places he may have seen the pricing here as a "rip-off" but it needed to be done and she was willing to pay. At this point the man became offended and shut her door that she had opened in order to exit her car and told us to leave because he doesn't do well with people using the term "rip-off". Though ironically my friend thought she was just translating what he had already stated repeatedly about how she would be pay less if she went to many other places for the service. The man then essentially asked us to leave, which we gladly did. Turned out she had a free service at the Toyta dealer and they treated us very well there. would I do not recommend this Jiffy Lube location to anyone. If anything I head over to the establishment on Harford Ave. I had a very pleasant experience there with my own vehicle. read more

Fantastic service at this location! I came in on a Monday afternoon at 5:30pm for an oil change and I was out of the door by 5:45pm. The gentleman who greeted me at my car escorted me inside and provided me with information about the restrooms, coffee service and where a local restaurant was in case I was hungry. I used a coupon I found online and received a discount. At the conclusion of my servicing, the gentleman that rang me up walked around the counter to hand me my receipt and the gentleman that finished with my car was ready by the door to open it for me and lead me to the car. I went to this business on a Sunday and they did not have the type oil I need which is synthetic 5w 30. I called back the next day and spoke to Jazz who was professional. She checked the car and had her staff change my oil. By the time I got home which was less than 5 miles away, my car was smoking. Once I parked, smoke was coming from under the hood and there was a profuse smell of burnt oil coming from my vehicle. Also I need to mention that they overfilled my car and oil was blowing from the valves and muffler so there was oil all on my trunk. The two days later my husband and I had to call Jazz back and she met us at a headquarter location. She said she would personally look at the car. The manager there explained to me what happened and assured me they would get my car taken care of. We left and afterwards my car started straining and a code that there was a restraining malfunction. I called Jazz back and explained that I did not have that problem before getting my car serviced at Jiffy Lube. She said it sounded like the serpentine belt. Long story short, I drove my car to SC so that my brother who is a mechanic could take a look at it. He checked everything and found out that the oil Jiffy lube put in my car which is a Mercedes was used oil. It has only been a little over a week and the oil he took out was black and very thin. He stated that the oil should not have been that thin and black in a week's time. I paid $150 to get my oil changed and I want all of my money back!!! read more

I was outright lied to by the employee, who told me it was required (not recommended which is the actual truth) by my manufacturer for me to purchase synthetical oil. I questioned him on this, as i was skeptical and had never been informed of this and don't remember seeing that in the manual. He went so far to show me the cap and sputtered out nonsense at me, again stating that I was not allowed to put conventional oil in. It was too late by the time I found the confirmation of his lie in my manual. When I checked out, I called him out on his awful customer service, lying to customers in order to up-charge for unnecessary services. He actually laughed and smirked at me in response, and said he always asks the dealer what kind of oil a car takes before purchasing. As a female, I've had to deal with my fair share of bullshit quotes for automotive services, but I've never been outright lied to by someone stating that a service is literally required by my manufacturer, so kudos to you. I figured that since my vehicle isn't even a year old, this would be the easiest oil change, not be quoted for more than a thousand dollars worth of services. I came in for an oil change on a Tuesday afternoon and was in and out of there in 30 minutes. I've been to other Jiffy Lube locations where I felt intense pressure to buy stuff beyond the oil change I came in for, but not here. They let me know my car looked great and ran through a quick list of optional services but said they didn't recommend anything this time. Phew. Bonus: Free wifi and free coffee. PLEASE BEWARE of this place! Last year I went in for an oil change and they messed up my car in a number of ways. This is a bad business owned by a very irresponsible person. I allowed them to rotate my tires and it was the worst decision I could have made that day. The person who "worked on" my car gave me back the wrong tire key, so when I got a flat tire on the side of the highway I couldn't fix my flat and had to get it towed and buy a new tire key. This year, I got a slow leak in a different tire and when I made an appointment at the repair shop to get it fixed, I found out that the same jiffy lube shop stripped my lug nut and it was going to be over $100 to repair it. I called the shop and they were completely unresponsive, and I called HQ. I made 10 calls all together and they were not willing to do anything about it. Although, each shop operates under the Jiffy Lube brand, Jiffy Lube HQ told me they do not hold their shop owners accountable and they are not responsible for protecting customers or their brand. I've never written a poor review in my life, but I really want to make sure people stay away. I wish Jiffy Lube was a better business, but sad to say I learned they're very terrible. read more

This location tried to scam me by telling me my car had "broken" parts. They treated me very differently (as a woman) then my male friend who was getting his oiled changed at the same time. When I went here for my oil change, they told me both of my brake lights were out and offered to fix them. I was grateful that they caught it and went to go sit down. A few minutes later, another guy who worked there told my one of my headlights was out. Since I had just gotten my headlights replaced, I asked him to show me. When I went to my car, both of my headlights were functioning. Then I asked him to show me my brake lights- both worked, as well as both of my reverse lights. I sat down again and after a few minutes they said they must have meant one of my high beams were out. I asked them to show me and indeed one of my high beams were out. They charged me the price for a full replacement of my high beam for tightening the connection, and given how much they tried to scam me for the other lights I wouldn't be surprised if they had loosened it themselves in the first place. They did not approach my male friend about a single problem with his car. They tried to scam me with "broken" lights on my car believing that because I was a woman I wouldn't know enough to catch on. read more

We've used this Jiffy Lube location a few times, as it's close and convenient to our house. The service is quick and affordable. Beware their add-ons. They tried to sell me a new battery (my old one was supposedly weakened-- I decided this could wait), and when I declined, they tried to then tell me my windshield wipers needed replaced -- I laughed at that one as I myself had just replaced the wipers less than 3 months earlier. I really don't think they'd try this BS with a guy. read more

I have been to this location for an oil change twice. The first time I was confused what kind of oil to use and I let the guy upsell me. This time I was more informed and I stuck to the cheaper oil. They said I had to change the engine filter which was overheating my car. So glad I did because my temperature and engine lights were coming on and they fixed the problem!!! Only complaint is that it's expensive as hell, so I went online to find a coupon and it was still expensive as hell!!! But very fast and they were nice though. read more

CON: *** They definitely try to sell and push services claiming a lot of things are wrong. Honestly, I then took it elsewhere that same day who did not mention those things AT ALL. They might show you a part that is "broken"... how do you know that part is really from your car and if you really need it?? Fast, moderately priced extremely polite. I got an oil change and rotation about 20 minutes and about 60 bucks. they even topped up my washer fluid and vacuumed the cabin. Upsell was minimal. They were courteous, friendly, thoroughly pleasant. I will use them again. read more
