Les Schwab Tire Center - Will you fix it? Aaah...Eeh
Is it safe to drive with it to Pocatello? Aah..Eeeh

    Les Schwab Tire Center

This place is a joke, go anywhere but here, they will over charge you for labor, break parts that…read moreweren't broken and charge you for extra parts that aren't needed. When asked about overcharging employees get disrespectful and angry because their scam is not working. This specific location is the reason you cant trust anybody at their word anymore. Go anywhere else!

Since 2011 I always serviced my vehicles at local Les Schwab and with only couple kinks and…read moremisunderstandings bought tires from them and did brakes and some other stuff like replacing brake fluid etc. We do reside in American Falls and it feels often too fancy driving for 26 miles for a simple tire service. Unless, of course the 30 minute trip can save you the whole day which was the case last summer when Billy at first refused to fix the issue for straight 10 business hours (they so busy that it hurts) then pretended they did and even billed me for it when they did not and right after we mutually agreed he would just leave my vehicle outside with key locked in for me to pick it up. I had to drive to Pocatello the next day to rectify it and those guys diagnosed and fixed the issue in less than 40 minutes. In the past I could always rely on Melvin to adjust and to correct their mishaps, especially when Billy intentionally misunderstands me. Now, that he is retired I can see this place going downhill fast. Billy is a man of 100 shades of perhaps. Even when he promised me to adjust my account in a certain way on a phone he did not and I was surprised later on had to spend extra time making it right. Had a suspension question for him, see picture attached he refused to give straight and direct yes or no answer, stating something about us having a bad vibe...if he did his job as expected no vibes would be felt whatsoever and the ride would had been exceedingly smooth. Tires and brakes are critical components and tire shop should always have some extra room for emergencies and a person with "who knows? who cares?" attitude does not belong in the industry. If I was in corporate I'd urgently insist on them retraining Billy for the sake of liability as he has a greater than average potential to expose the company to costly lawsuits. Car centric culture gives you the individual freedom. With it comes the responsibility not just to own but to properly maintain a motor vehicle in a timely manner. Refusing to fix the brakes, or critical suspension components or overinflating small tires (talking not 2-3 but 9 and more PSI) is a serious safety hazard. As much as I 'd rather support a local business it appears we'd have to commute to Pocatello for most of our tire needs.
