You walk up, call a phone number on the door and tell them you're there for a Covid test. Someone brings you out a clipboard which you fill out. You wait 20-30 minutes in line outside, get your nose swabbed, then get the PCR results within about 24 hours. The first time I got a PCR test, I didn't get the result emailed to me in 24 hours and when I called, it sounded like the lab was running behind, but they got it to me in about 28 hours. So nice to have free PCR tests! Thankful for them.

I spoke with the manager Armine Arzoumanian, and she couldn't give me a solid answer as to why they won't make their office more accessible to disabled people, stating only "we are a private practice so we set the rules." It's not very advanced to accidentally refer a patient to the wrong specialist especially if that referral process takes 7 to 10 days, and specialists book 8 to 10 weeks out. I was assigned to one of the doctors at this group, Ayuna Panossian, via my health plan, LA Care. I am so far dissatisfied with the level of care and consideration from this office, but am disabled and switching providers and starting all over is an exhausting process.

The front desk told me they needed to verify my insurance and would call me right back. After waiting a few hours without a response, I called back myself. This time, I was told they needed several days to verify my insurance due to the high volume of patients. I explained that I urgently needed care because of a pre cancerous spot on my face, but it felt like verifying my insurance was too much of a hassle for them. Their lack of urgency and concern made me uncomfortable and I didn't want to risk further delays in my care. I immediately contacted my insurance, filed a complaint and switched doctors the same day. I don't recommend this office, as they seem to take their time with simple tasks that other offices handle with ease. Calling insurance to verify a patient's eligibility isn't a task that requires days to complete. Especially when it's an urgent matter.

From the second I opened the office door, I was welcomed by two wonderful ladies who helped me get signed in and set up. Not only were they super friendly at 10 AM, but they made an effort to make me feel comfortable and answer all my questions. 5 mins after arriving Dr. Olmscheid greeted me and took me into his office. This was not like any other doctor visit I've ever had before. He was so warm, CARING and he listened to every word I said. I honestly forgot I was in a doctor's office until it was time to check my blood pressure. Normally I'm a little nervous when I'm at the doctors so my blood pressure is usually a little higher than at home when I check it. Surprisingly, it was much lower than normal and I'm certain it was a result of how relaxed Dr. Olmscheid and his team made me feel. If you're looking for a doctor that cares, and is knowledgeable, I highly recommend Dr. Olmscheid. He loves what he does and it shows! *Also, they have an amazing online system that gives you direct contact to the doctor and his team. It's the coolest thing I've ever seen!
