Even at midnight, He took the time to understand the issue and assured me it could be fixed. After sending him a few pictures of my boiler system, he was able to walk me through shutting down zones of my heating system so we at least had some heat. He then put in a service call for the following day to have someone come out and fix it. The tech, Joshua, arrived in the following afternoon. He diagnosed the problem and explained what he would do to fix it. It took a little bit to apply the fix due to the tricky location of the pipe, but he was able to get it done. Once the work was completed, he took the extra time to ensure every bit of the system was functioning properly.

I resorted to google and unfortunately came across Aire Serv. Their technician (who was very nice) came out to assess the situation and determined it was caused by a damaged pilot assembly. After calling around for replacement parts, I was told that the parts were out of stock until later in the week. Despite this, I was still charged $234 for the trip fee and diagnostic fee. I was then quoted $1112 for the repairs to be done once the parts were in. I shared this quote with my normal company and they were appalled! Thankfully they fixed the issue for less than half the price Aire Serv was going to charge me! PLEASE do not use this money-grubbing company, and instead use a local independent company if you need heating work done!

John is a one man operation and able to keep the costs down because of it, but he is haphazard at…read morebest when it comes to fixing an issue. My furnace had been leaking and after he got 2 additional calls before coming to my scheduled appointment that day, he said he'd come later that week, (feeling my issue could wait). The next day there I discovered flooding in my basement which took hours to mop and clean up, leaving me w/o heat or water for 24 hrs. When he got there 2 days later, he replaced 3 parts (one of which would have been unnecessary had he shown for the original appt. before it burst). The next day I noticed a crack in one of the joints near the tank he replaced as he had extreme difficulty removing the old pressure tank (it had corroded and basically shook the whole house when trying to remove it), therefore cracking the fixture, causing this secondary leak. I called him to let him know, but he never called back. I'm sure he realizes his actions led to this and does not want to face my discontent over having to pay even more for what I feel should have been included in the initial service call. I would caution anyone considering using YCOPS for service as he does not follow through, and with a furnace on the brink, you need someone reliable, that knows what they're doing. Highly questionable based on my experience.
