Brought in my own sherpa fleece. I was told by the super nice guy that it isn't guaranteed they can get to embroider onto it, bc of the material. Low and behold, as their usual norm of working magic, they were able to. Looks AMAZING. Also brought in my own quarter zip regular Gildan sweatshirt and it looks flawless. read more

Quality , price, and backing their work with alterations and repairs which is very important considering the kind of work the regular customer here does. If you want it done right you take your business here plain and simple Thanks guys for always keeping me looking good Respectfully Bob Cavaiani Chicago,Il read more

If you are looking for great service and pricing then you have to buy your uniforms at JG. This is a family run business that cares about all LE. Arleen and Greg are onsite owners who assist in helping officers with their selections . They go out of their way to ensure you are fitted with the best outer carrier , dress and patrol uniforms . They treat people with respect and always work to solve any problems you have with your uniform or carrier adjustments. Turn around time is very quick. They not only have uniforms but all other accessories that we need for our job. I have been going to JG for over 30 years and will never go to any other uniform store. If you need a uniform store this is your place . read more

This is hands down the best uniform for CPD officers and other departments. I've been going to them for 22 years of my service career, and wouldn't give anyone else my business. Greg and Arlene are the best, and their family run business is zero to none on their customer service. Highly recommend their business to anyone new to any police departments. Never had any problems when I needed something under a crunch they always pull through for me. They only sell high quality products, and they back up their products when need to get fixed. read more

How things change, I will never give this place my money again. I can't believe how nasty they treat the customers. I kept coming here for the customer service, uniforms you can get anywhere but now the customer service sucks and I'll prefer to give my money to anyone else. read more

As a recruit graduating I needed all The necessary packages. I ordered more than a month before I needed everything and I was told at this store that the Reefer might not be ready but I can order it and if it was not ready I could get It somewhere else. So I bought the Reefer at another store and the time comes to pick up my packages and I'm told at JG that I will not be able to pick up my packages unless everything is paid for, including the $500 Reefer that I was told I could get from somewhere else. Now I'm stuck with an extra Reefer I was forced to pay for. They know what you need and they will scam you out of your money, especially if you're a recruit. read more

I've been coming here for 19 years. Very good quality and service, prices are very good for custom work. I always feel safe here too...

This place is a nightmare. Waited 9 weeks to receive my product only for it to be poor quality. What makes it worse is that the customer service is horrible. I even spoke to the owner who was rude and dismissive. She refused to accept any fault and did not even offer to fix the problems. I recommend to go elsewhere if you want to be treated with respect and pay half as much. read more

What a joke. You just lost over $2,000 worth of sales because your ladies didn't want to measure for uniforms at 430pm. Oh... I forgot. Your website is even a bigger joke. How about you update that site with information such as this? Further, they put up a little typed up note for Saturday saying they were closed. They said they put the sign up for a while so people would know. Maybe put that info on the website. People don't go to JG every week like the grocery store. Bravo. read more

There is simply no better uniform store, and I drive here from the far South side because of it. This is a family-run business that strives for complete customer satisfaction. This past week I needed a CPD topcoat for an honors funeral. Measurements were taken on Wednesday afternoon and it was then that the store realized they had no fabric to complete the order. JG's fabric order had been held up in Mexican customs for over three weeks. Arleen and her exceptional employees located some fabric in New York, had it overnighted to Chicago on Thursday and worked through the night to ensure four orders for topcoats were filled in time for the wake on Friday afternoon. When I arrived on Friday to pick up my coat, I was charged for the coat...and nothing more. No rush fees. No overnight shipping fees. Just the coat. At a time when a less reputable store could have taken advantage of a terrible situation, JG showed what they're made of. Honest work, honest values and quality products. I won't spend a dime at any other uniform store ever. read more

I ordered my carrier in October online, here it is almost four months later and still no carrier, made sure to charge my card immediately though! The current JG carrier I have is disintegrating due to the cheap Velcro and other materials used, if I don't get something soon I'll have to order elsewhere. If you order online expect a very very slow process. I also have called and left messages multiple times and never get a call back from (Brett) their online sales guy. My PD is starting to look elsewhere. read more

JG Uniforms, Inc. - JG uniforms carrier falling apart - Uniforms Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

DO NOT ORDER YOUR VEST HERE!! - I was told my $1000 armor would take 6-8 weeks, going on the 10th week and still nothing. The excuse I keep getting is "It's coming from California" well, I've had things from Europe take less time. Here's the funny part, my partners ordered the same exact thing, weeks after me and they already received theirs.. Hhmmmm... I don't mind waiting, but if something is going to take that long, should've let me know so I could take my business elsewhere. read more

They always do me right. Sometimes it takes longer than I like to get something, which is the reason for four stars rather than five, but I guess that's the price you pay when when you do business with someone who's biggest customer is CPD. read more

I purchase previous vest and was very happy They made my vest wrong tried to fix it but I'm not happy with the results. I was surprised that they didn't do it over and correct whatever missed measurements were made. This was my second best cover as I wanted a sharp crisp look and am unhappy with the results. They kept telling me that they were the best seamstress in the city and that's the reason why I went with them and spent the money. Because of their frustration with their mistake they felt that I didn't spend enough money but I paid for the oversized. read more

This place is not what it used to be... I came here needing to change the elastic bands on my vest (vest was made by Second Chance). I was told that they couldn't do it because the tailor/seamstress would "run into problems taking the vest apart". Highly unlikely because , I have gotten the straps replaced from a vest that I bought from them before with no issues. I know they're not gonna make much money from me...but what the hell....I have been coming to this place for 17 years!! Also, I actually asked a lady that worked there and she did tell me that they could do it for $25...a couple of weeks prior. But now, the guy with the long, curly, brown hairs gave me some B.S. that if something were to "go wrong"...there's gonna be liability issues! WTF, never heard that one before! I understand the difference between "we can't" and "we don't want to". I know it's all about the money, but is that how you treat a loyal customer?!... Well, a former loyal customer. I still have a decade or so left on this job...but you lost my business!! Also, I ordered another vest carrier here a few months ago and they put the cummerbund backwards and try to blame it on me...but I figured their mistake was an honest mistake as long as they corrected it. The problem was corrected. I was so turned off today that I didn't even bother shopping there for some new uniform sets and accessories. No point in arguing, I just went down the street and they took my vest and repaired it ...and they now gained a new customer. read more

This place is a hit or miss. I could go in one day and have the workers here super attentive and helpful and then other days you can stand right at the front waiting to be helped for 10 mins. Before anyone even says one word to you, no hi someone will be with you or anything almost like you are totally invisible. This sometimes makes me really hate spending money at this place but I believe in giving places chances so Ill see how it goes in future visits. This place should always treat their customers the same way with great service not depending on the day you go there. read more

Awesome gear! They helped me out when I had to change my order. The vest are perfect for patrol as well

The customer service is nice but so are most other places willing to take your money. I feel most of their products are well overpriced and marked up. Check out Amazon before shopping at the uniform stores in Chicago. It will pay off. Unfortunately J&G like most other uniform shops really rip the new recruits off. People who aren't making much to begin with and now someone else is putting their hands in there to get a big chunk! read more

Ordered two outer vest covers for our K9 officer. Calls made to check the status of the order were not returned and when contact with the store was made, person was very rude. Had the vest for not even 6 months and seams have come undone and the back has ripped. Very poor quality for the price and will not hold up for everyday wear and tear. Spend the money and go with Safariland! read more

Wish I can give this place a zero start! I was fooled at the beginning to think they have an ok customer service but, SURPRISE!!! They sold me a wrong size of BDU telling me that that's the way it fits and that there's no smaller size and guess what?! They didn't have it at the time and, they wanted to get rid of what they have. I still remember asking twice how come it's that big and the arms are too long for me but the sales man insist that that's the way it comes. I also bought the name plate from them and, the quality is awful!!!! Will never ever go back to them. read more

The Customer service was simply amazing the gentleman( I believe his name was tom) that helped me was extremely helpful and kind he made sure that I was happy he went far and beyond!!! Secondly the store is extremely clean and well put together. they're tactical accessories, uniforms and other add-ons are well organized and in place I was able to find everything with ease. In all extremely happy and will recommend this place! read more

Good thing about this place is that it is close to home if you are a northsider. Bad THINGS are: the people are rude to you when you are there. Its like they are doing you a huge favor by being there to help you. TERRIBLE customer service. If you are to purchase a Molle Vest cover make sure you do not wash it because it will fall apart. I had to bring mine back into the store to get re-done multiple times. I think the quality of this store has gone way down. In the past they did in fact make the best covers . That is not the case at all now. I will have no problem going somewhere else from now on to purchase my LE gear even if I have to drive some ways away to do it. read more

Excellent service! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I placed my order and it was ready the next day. My package had everything I needed so I didn't have to run around town or go back and forth to pick more things up. I had a great experience compared to the people I know who went to the store down the street. I will continue to chose JG for my uniform needs. read more

JG Uniforms sets the platinum standard in the Chicagoland area for Law Enforcement uniform stores. Hands down they have the best customer service in the business. After being in Law Enforcement for nearly 20 years I've shopped everywhere and now I only shop at JG. They have earned my business! They have worked with me to deliver items when I've needed them in a hurry, they have altered or replaced velcro straps & patches, (sometimes while I wait) and always at a reasonable price! They are a family business and that is reflected in how they treat their customers and the top notch quality of their product. I highly recommend JG to every LEO and recruit out there! JG Uniform's gear takes the everyday abuse that I need my gear to take. read more
