I broke the nose piece off my glasses and unfortunately lost the piece since it was dark out. I called the following day and was told by a very kind associate that they are able to repair glasses. I went in later that day so they could inspect them, and they immediately worked to find a solution since I lost the nose piece. I left the frames overnight, and they were able to get them fixed by the following morning! They were incredibly kind and helpful! Pricing was very fair for what I had to get. Enter the store and it was a Jeweler's daughter who said she could laser and fix my rope chain that broke in the middle of the chain. I returned to pick up my chain, went home to put the diamond pendant on the chain and slid my diamond towards the center and it snapped and broke again in the same place with a little bit of the rope chain falling to the floor in the carpet? I called them the next morning and he said he doesn't know if it's in the same place. I said, "oh yes, it is"! I asked if I could Fedex my Chain with a signature required for safety for both of us and he said no? Now a repair that cost me $80 broke & I have to drive 25 minutes back to have them look at it and if they do fix it "again" - I'll have to drive home 25 minutes -back to pick it up 25 minutes and then back home 25minutes- - that's an hour and a half out of a day and yet all I needed to do is FedEx to them and they won't allow me to do that??? Truely that's terrible Terrible Customer Service!!!!!! I'm stuck now with a necklace that is broken and It's ridiculous. I would tell everyone do not go there! The repair on my necklace was terrible! It's awful awful Customer Service. Therefore it's $80 I just threw away For a terrible repair and I'm stuck with a broken necklace.!!!!! What about a guarantee? I only had the necklace for one day and it broke! You should refund my money that is the only thing that's going to make me happy at this point, and you can mail it to me. I was in for a very simple request. I had a pair of white gold hoop earrings that one of them had been stepped on, (I think), the clasp on top of it to lock the earring on was bent and it was slightly out of round. I wanted to know if they could repair it or was it a lost cause. The jeweler took a look, and very quickly had it looking back to new. I figured a few days was going to be the standard turn around time but Paul made it happen same-day. Once they told me on the phone it was a great price and one business day, I immediately went down there. It was just under 2 hours to take my ring down 6 sizes and it looks great! I am extremely happy with Jewelers Bench so much that I am taking my wife"s wedding ring to them for a replacement diamond and prongs. Way to go! Another plus was the store mascot/ the dog they have. Had a clasp replaced and realized the $10 sterling clasp is $45 here at The Jewelers Bench plus another $20 to attach it. No skill required. When did they get so greedy? I have a beautiful ring with a large ruby center and small channel cut rubies on the sides. It was a sentimental favorite but since I am hard on my stuff, eventually, two of the smaller rubies became lost. I was determined to get this repaired. One jewelry store known for their repair work refused to work on it. Another downtown store that does repairs quoted me $800 for the repair. I kept looking and found this jewel of a store. When I arrived, the gentleman who worked there was outside admiring the sunset with another customer. He came back in with his friendly dog and took at look at the ring. He was a little skeptical at first, but took a look at some stones he had and found a match for the missing two. That was amazing right there. He said he would do the work and and quoted a price of $95. That sealed it! I had a cheap little necklace with a broken chain that had lost a link and asked to have it repaired, too. The charge of $20 to repair the chain was likely more than the necklace was worth, but I really like it and was happy to pay to get it fixed. Not only was the work far less than the other location, he had it done the next day! I can't thank him enough for helping me get my loved pieces back. Enjoy life, your pets, and the sunsets. For those of you that have been to to " the"Jewelers Bench"", you already know it's the best the valley has to offer in regards to having jewelry repaired or custom created. - I myself have come here over the last several years much like going to the dentist meaning not until something breaks. And this time? it was my glasses, my only glasses - these expensive wire frames I have owned just over a year had broken right at the lenses. I had asked several local vision providers (ok only two) as to a recommendation on what to do getting no satisfactory responses other than having them replaced which for me? means another expensive eye exam as it was also only good for a year. What ever happened to "I know a guy!" Well I do! and It's the guys (Alex and Paul) at the "Jewelers Bench" I had completely forgotten this resource until driving by the store location suddenly having that "ah" or "duh" moment (your choice) realizing this was my solution all along They had my glasses repaired within several minutes and they are perfect!
