Upon cleaning it the jeweler noticed the prongs were loose. He referred us to Jeweler Bench. When I called the owner was abrupt, and communicated rudely with me. He stated, "prongs do not become loose. That can't be the problem." He was also very irritated that I was referred to ask about scheduling at a time when the repair could be done same day. He stated I was the fourth person to ask this and that he didn't do same day repair. It was his tone and attitude that my husband and I did not appreciate. We were new customers to him and would have appreciated being treated nicely. We will not be taking my wedding ring to him. Customer service is extremely important!

So excited to wear my wedding ring again! What really stood out to me (besides the quality of their work) was how great they are. It's a husband-and-wife owned business, and you can truly feel the care they put into what they do. They were so helpful and honest. It was a pleasure working with them. Their pricing is also unbeatable--I had looked at other jewelry stores in the area, and no one came close to their prices for jewelry. They also have a beautiful selection in-store, including a larger collection of vintage jewelry, plus both lab diamonds (artificially made real diamonds- not CZ) and natural diamonds for engagement rings. I also love that they offer in-store repairs and custom jewelry, which is hard to find. If you're looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and fairly priced jeweler, I highly recommend Star Diamonds. I'll be going back for sure!

I finally made it to this jewelry store during their limited business hours--which seem far more…read moreconvenient for the owner than for anyone who works a normal weekday job. I came in to have a lab-created stone set into a sterling silver setting I had purchased. Right from the start, the wife of the jeweler was skeptical and borderline dismissive. She asked me two or three times if I was sure the stone was lab-created and not Moissanite despite me stating it clearly, and even showed her the IGA lab created certificate. She repeatedly emphasized their "40 years in the business" said they would be able to tell. Instead of feeling reassured, it felt condescending. The husband was a bit more polite, but no more helpful. He gave excuse after excuse for why he couldn't set the stone--claiming silver would "contaminate his tools" and that it was too risky, even after I said I understood the risk and was fine with it. Eventually, it became clear they had no intention of helping. He even mentioned he only sets gold or platinum pieces--unless you're a private friend. In the end, I thanked them for their time and walked out with nothing accomplished. If you're hoping to get anything set in silver, or expect flexibility and professionalism, I would strongly caution you before going here. They seem to pick and choose who they'll help, and unless you fit their preference (or circle of friends), you may find yourself turned away with excuses.

My wedding ring, which was a custom ring, lost one of the diamonds (fortunately I found it), and it turned out the tips needed to be repaired. I assume that's why it didn't hold that diamond in place. Not only did they do a fantastic job on the repair, but cleaned it until it shined like it did decades ago! At the time, they told me that my other ring would eventually need the tips done, too, as they wear over time. I put it off over a year, but last year, decided to get it done, and I'm glad I did. Now, my rings are both in good shape, and I don't have to worry about losing a diamond again! The staff was very friendly, and answered all of my questions. They will definitely be my jeweler of choice in the future. I highly recommend them.
