I've noticed the staff call for help, up front, if there are more than three people in line. My only concern is the pharmacy drive through lanes are often closed down or not in working condition so going inside for RX can sometimes be a long wait, especially if you are going here for a flu, COVID, or Shingles immunization. I always find what I need and more. Some good deals in cosmetics and travel sized items, if you have time to look.

I called and spoke with Greg(one of the pharmacists) and he was so kind over the phone. I had to rush the order because the first pharmacists and CVS did not tell me about Keefer's until I spoke with another pharmacist that told me about them right away. Greg understood the urgency and got on it right away. I was able to pick up the Rx the following day. I have a high deductible so Greg suggested I pay out of pocket with no insurance affiliation and it ended up significantly cheaper - by 50%. This was acceptable because I would just submit it for reimbursement to my HSA(Health Savings Account) similar to FSA(Flexible Spending). Apparently claiming one does not have insurance yields a cheaper cost - amazing how much less uninsured individuals are charged. This was definitely old school pharmacy but I liked it. My Mom was a pharmacist and it brought memories from my childhood. I walked around just looking at everything in the store. They have unique items. The prices were slightly higher than say Walmart or CVS/Walgreens so maybe that's why it seems the items don't appear too move as much - at least it appears that way (when items don't look like they've moved out of their spot on the shelf) but I could be wrong. I'm so bummed that I lived in Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights for ten years that I never walked into this place. I will DEFINITELY be coming back here again. If they provide the same cost for my other Rx then I will be giving them more of my business.

No mention of the business, so I had to ask if I was calling the right place. She said their system was down and she'd call me shortly when it was back up. No return call. I called again just before 2:30pm. Same woman answered. She seemed pretty annoyed that I was calling to check the status of my prescription (that was submitted yesterday, and was clearly ignored). She said she would fill it right then, then promptly hung up on me. Two minutes later she called back to say they don't have the drug. Gee, thanks for letting me know over 24 hours later. The pharmacy doesn't necessarily seem like they added to staff, but they are acknowledging people in line (inside and in the drive through) more quickly. One thing that slows down the pharmacy, particularly the drive through, is when people ask for other merchandise other than prescriptions. While I'm sure this is a good service for those who use it, if you need a prescription, it lengthens your wait time pretty significantly. I wish Walgreens would reevaluate this service and have people go into the store to buy merchandise.
