This isn't a review for this particular location but for Walgreens in general…read more As a matter of corporate policy, it seems that the priority is to keep labor costs down at the expense of the customer. Why? Because every single time I shop at Walgreens I can't help but notice how annoying the checkout process is. There just never seems to be enough registers open and the lines aren't clear, which inevitably leads to conflict or friction with other patrons and wasted time. It's an unconscionable policy to ask their employees to keep themselves busy at all times because this necessarily impacts the customer in a negative way. Even when there are no other customers around I still end up wasting MY TIME at the register waiting for an employee to stop stocking/cleaning/organizing or whatever it is they happen to be doing at the moment to come tend to me. So Walgreens, are you asking me to put up with this hassle so you can save a few bucks on a cashier? Get lost. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

He needed a very simple outdated medication. I went to the corner of Happy & Healthy and after a 1 hour run around (being called up 3 times to say they are not done) I was then told that didn't have it, I found myself in a scramble at 8:30 at night. They said they were calling around to find this medication and no one had it or was still open. My wife called CVS - Addison and they confirmed they had the prescription and I hauled over there. I arrived and was greeted by Marta at the Pharmacy. She immediately went and grabbed the jug of medication from behind the counter all while getting all of the insurance info into the system. The store was closing in 20 minutes and I didn't want to come back but she said it should just take a few minutes. (Again, I am still worked up from the other Pharmacy) I went to do a lap around the store and was interrupted by being called to the counter...it was ready. I got there and found that Marta was unable to type out the direction of how to wean my son off this medication so she had hand written out very legibly how to do so. She included all that I needed to dispense the medication and I was out the door in less than 15 minutes. I don't care that this CVS is out of my way or anything about the store itself, they gave me perfect service and I will go out of my way to deal with this staff again.

Now this is for the people that are complaining who don't understand how it is to run a business. For the people complaining to have to pay for something upfront don't understand what it's like to run a business. Many prescriptions to get filled here and made here are very unique to very certain individuals so the time the effort resources that are used and then people don't come up and pick up the prescription. Think about that now, you wasted your money to buy ingredients to have a prescription made, and then no one comes and picks it up so now you're out of your resources of money ingredients ordered, and time to make it and now you have a prescription that's not gonna be picked up because it wasn't paid for which means you're out of your own money and you are out of your own time now you have also a prescription that will not be picked up and that is being wasted. So the people that don't think outside their own box is very unfortunate. I cannot stand reviews where people only think about me me me me me, and they don't think about what product that they are getting from a certain facility. Mark Drugs keep up the good work and three years you have not disappointed for the people that don't understand the business aspect. That's very unfortunate and they need to open up their eyes because if they ran a business, it will probably would not go very far.

I started feeling crappy a week ago. I had a cough and a fever and just didn't feel right. I sat at work last Monday night and didn't want to go home cause I didn't think I could muster the energy. On Tuesday morning when I woke up, it had worsened and I knew I had to see someone. I made an apt on-line (yes, you can do that now) for the Take Care Clinic in Elk Grove Village. The woman who saw me was helpful albeit a bit verbose for my state and she prescribed me a zpak & 3 days of stereroids to help rid my body of what ailed it. she told me that if i didn't feel better in 2 days time that i should follow up with my primary care physician. i woke up friday feeling no better and muscled my way in to my primary care doctor's office. my gp is lovely. i've been seeing her for years. however, she's difficult to get into see and the staff over the phone is sometimes less than friendly (although they always make up for it during the office visits). after the visit with my gp, she prescribed a different antibiotic, more steroirds and told me to cease taking the zpak. when i went to this particular walgreen's - the pharmacist on staff warned me of a potenital drug interaction between the new antibiotic and the old (which apparently stays in your body 5 days after you take it). the pharmacist told me to wait and call my doctor because the combination could cause a heart arrhythmia. YIKES! i did call my dr and she did change out the script. i also called my boyfriend's sister - also a dr - to ask about the interaction and she had never heard of it. Thanks Bensenville Walgreen's for saving my heart! PS - this isn't the first time that this particular Walgreen's has helped me out. The Pharmacy staff here is always friendly and will answer questions about whatever ails you, provide guidance as to which over the counter meds are best and suggest ones you may not have even thought of. I am a customer for life (or at least as long as I live here). Thanks again!

Messages left when ready and also what I would consider above and beyond service. My insurance is a stickler on covering meds. The staff helped me greatly and I'm deeply appreciating that. This is one of my regular stores to go when I need something so I can say I am here at least once a…read moreweek if not more. Nice, big Walmart with huge selection. Probably the biggest one in the area with the most products and best selection. Is always clean and tidy whenever I've visited, staff is typically helpful and friendly (not that I've needed much). Has lots of self checkout and even ones with the full belt if you have a full order to get through, makes it super easy. Definitely seems like corporate takes the best care of this Walmart, always has the nicest and newest stuff to offer. Overall I really enjoying coming to this location because it is clean, always restocked and well organized so that things are easy to find. I wanted to say that since they have put in self checkout registers my experience has really been wonderful. The lines go by so much faster and if you need help using self check out there is always some there to help you. Another really great aspect is the pick up option which they offer. When you enter the store there will be a sign stating that the pick up center is in the back of the store and once you get there it is a big orange entrance. Have always considered this the best Walmart in my area, just wish it were closer to me.

Today, I decided to go inside for a pick-up and wanted info about a couple vaccines and ask about a delayed prescription. At the pharmacy, Lydia took great care of me. She was polite, professional, and persistent. She was able to straighten out my account and found the eye drops that are in short supply. Phew! She set me up for two vaccines, even though I didn't have an appointment. I waited about three minutes at the clinic before I got my vaccines. Painless. Quick. The young woman was very pleasant and professional. Great experience!

I ran out of refills so I requested the pharmacy to contact my dr. Within a week, I had to call the pharmacy multiple times on 3/7 days to get this filled. At one point I was told that they only show a record of contacting my dr one time. They have become very unreliable which is frustrating because they are the closest pharmacy to where I live.
