Tonight we learned the Carol Stream one had closed, and ownership here was changing hands, but the new owners don't intend to mess with a good thing. We're not super familiar with Jersey style pizza, but it is nice being able to get really nice pizza by the slice. We tried the pepperoni, the sausage, the three sauce (with vodka sauce and pesto), and the white pizza (with garlic and ricotta). All were great, and surprisingly my preschooler's favorite was the three sauce (which I think is also mine), while my wife liked the white pizza. The slices are huge with a good crisp undercarriage, and lots of flavorful sauce on top. The service we experienced at both locations were top notch as well. To top it off, when we came here, there was a table with a couple people who looked straight out of Jersey (at least from my limited knowledge), and they were big fans as well. Looking forward to returning!

Very disappointed with this experience. When placing my order over the phone, I specifically…read moreemphasized that I wanted the French fries packaged in two separate bags **to prevent moisture from building up** and making them soggy. Despite making this request clear, the order was not packaged as requested. The fries were placed in styrofoam containers where moisture collected inside, leaving them soggy and unappetizing. As shown in the photos, the condensation inside the packaging is exactly the problem I was trying to avoid by requesting separate bags in the first place. It's frustrating when a customer takes the time to explain a simple request, emphasizes it when ordering, and the restaurant still fails to follow through. Proper packaging makes a difference, especially with something like French fries, which should be served crispy rather than sitting in moisture.

They had Mexican Coke, which is always the best choice to go with a warm slice of pizza. We ordered the NY Style Cheese Pizza and the Fibonacci Pie Pizza. The NY Style Cheese Pizza was full of flavor and the Fibonacci Pie Pizza was magical We also ordered the garlic knots, and they were SO good. They were lightly browned, crusted with butter and garlic; and served with both pesto and marinara for dipping. Both sauces were excellent pairings, and I honestly could have eaten the whole plate myself. The pizza definitely reminded me of authentic New York-style pizza. It was served hot and fresh, which made it even better. Everything had loads of flavor, and I really enjoyed the whole experience. The service was also pleasant. We never felt rushed, and they checked on us throughout the meal without being overbearing. They even made sure our water glasses never got empty, which I always appreciate. Overall, I am really glad we finally gave Nemec Brother's a try. I highly recommend checking them out. l will definitely be back!

My interest in visiting Pequod's Pizza came after watching LATRYGUY, a foodie YouTuber I have been…read morefollowing lately. As a fellow foodie, I am always looking for new spots to try--whether they are in Chicago, the surrounding Chicagoland area, or outside the state of Illinois. I honestly feel as though you cannot order from Pequod's and not get a pan pizza! Pan pizza is the entire essence of Pequod's; in my opinion, it is almost a crime not to order it. I ended up ordering their 7" personal pan pizza for lunch on a day when I was craving either pizza or pho. Whether using Grubhub or Uber Eats, I love ordering online for the convenience and the ability to schedule a pickup time. Most of the time, my orders are ready--or nearly ready--upon arrival. By the time I reached the restaurant, my order was almost finished. If you are someone who orders online as faithfully as I do, just keep an eye on the tracker for the notification that your food is ready. Because of this smooth experience, the likelihood of me ordering online from this location again is very high. I will warn you: if you are driving to this location, the curb sits high outside the storefront, so be mindful of that if you have a smaller vehicle. Parking is pay-to-park and shared by other businesses along Clybourn Ave. Remember to give yourself plenty of space when parallel parking; it can get tight since this restaurant has a consistent flow of customers moving in and out. During my brief visit, I noticed customers either carpooling or being dropped off, which I highly recommend if you plan on visiting this Pequod's location. Now, as for my food! "A cute little pan pizza," was my first thought after receiving the box from the employee. It was so adorable that looking at the box made me almost regret not ordering a larger size. However, its actual appearance took me by surprise once I opened it. After unwrapping the pizza from the aluminum foil, I saw its charred, caramelized cheese ring around the edge, a heavy crushed-tomato and herb sauce on top, and a stringy mozzarella pull in the center that was sticking to the foil. That sight alone made me salivate in anticipation of my first bite. I brought out gloves for this because I didn't dine in. Instead, I just pulled into a park and enjoyed this "cute little pan pizza" from Pequod's, which tasted incredible! The rich, tangy tomato sauce packed a serious punch that made me smile with enjoyment as I carefully avoided getting it on my hospital scrubs. Don't be deceived by the look of those charred edges, either--they are completely edible and delicious! You don't need to worry even if you have sensitive teeth. After finishing the last bite, I wiped my mouth and declared, "That was good!". If you are like me in search for something light, then I highly recommend their 7" personal pan pizza because it will leave you satisfied. In closing, I had a great ordering experience, as indicated in my review of Pequod's Pizza. Thanks to LATRYGUY for bringing this to my attention; I am happy to share my endorsement of this business with the Yelp community. I also want to point out that I am connected to 13 quality Yelpers who have already shared their excellent feedback about this location.
