So, I've been looking forward to trying Jet's, since the moment I heard we were getting one. And here we are.. let's get started!
1. The staff was great! Attentive, polite, and even laughed at my played out jokes! Ya didn't have to, but I love you for it!
2. Service was quick, considering we walked in and ordered as opposed to the much more convenient online ordering (which we will do next time!) there IS a park-bench inside to sit and wait for your order tho. So that's nice! Thanks Jet's!
Ah, almost forgot, there's a drive thru window as well!
3. Lastly, the food was tasty! I will say a tad tooooooooo much sauce for my liking, BUT, I assume that's the "traditional" Detroit style way, and since I've never experienced DSP, I'm not going to knock it, but it was VERY saucy. Like, sauce oozing out when taking bites saucy. We got a large traditional pepperoni, a thin crust pepperoni, and an order of the Turbo Stix. The ingredients were delicious, fresh, sauce on the sweet side, and THAT RANCH is ERMUHGERD GOOD!! Do NOT skip the ranch!!! They offer several different crust styles (including a cauliflower for you weirdos- just kidding! I applaud your willpower, or cry for your gluten sensitivity, whichever catagory you fall into) a myriad of trad and non-trad toppings, salads, wings and "poppers", even a calzone-ish pizza dish. Something for everyone!
They ARE a traditional take-out pizza joint, so don't make plans to meet your pals there for lunch, otherwise you'll be eating on the hood of your car, so jot that down. Also located on the most annoying of road corners (Balch and 72) so give yourself an extra 5 minutes to 3 hours to get in and out of there because people suck at general niceties and allowing cars to alternate in turning out. Aside from that, there should be NOTHING deterring you from giving it a go!
Especially that ranch!!!
Did I mention the ranch??
Sorry, no pictures to share.. we ate while it was hot... in the car that is. No indoor seating, remember? Plus we live in Triana. That's a 30 minute drive from there at 6:30pm...no way I was waiting to eat at home. Pah-leeze
It's delicious. Try it. You're welcome. read more
