Mozza Pizza Restaurant - 20in! So big! - Pizza Near Me - Huntsville, Alabama

Good pizza, love the dough and the cheese! The staff is friendly and professional. We ordered to go so I'm not too sure of the vibe inside.

We heard good reviews about Mozza and some native New Yorkers recommended it. We ordered online for pickup. I was greeted right away when I walked in. There was plenty of seating in the dining room to eat in. We got a large BBQ Chicken pizza and a stromboli. The pizza didn't disappoint. It truly was a large pizza with big slices. The flavor was also great. I'm not a New Yorker so I can't comment on the authenticity of the pie but it was good. However, I am a self-proclaimed stromboli connoisseur. First, they should use a smaller box because the stromoli looked tiny in the box mine came in. Overall the stromboli wasn't bad. The ingredients could have been spread out more evenly. And like most strombolis, the ingredients didn't make it to the edges. I'll go back for pizza but it won't be my go-to for strombolis. read more

I *think* we got the BBQ pizza (it had been a few weeks since I was there). But here's the important part: a sit-down meal that fed two people comfortably for about $20, all in. It will definitely be part of the "where do you want to eat?" conversation the next time we're in Huntsville. read more

Mozza true new York style pies! Mozza employee are the best, and the cooks are wonderful

Excellent pizza! Sold by the slice or you can buy a whole pizza and there's tons of options. Some of which were bbq chicken, Quattro formaggi, chicken bacon ranch, margherita, supreme, meat lovers, eggplant ricotta, Hawaiian, etc. I opted for the grandma- a classic pizza topped with chunks of mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes. It was so well seasoned and flavorful. Really cheesy. We also got the sausage and pepperoni, which was good. The sauce has good flavor which I really enjoyed. My only complaint is that the crust is floppy. The pizza is loaded with toppings, which is a good thing, but I think it weighs down the thin chewy crust and there's not enough structure to hold it up. The restaurant itself has casual looking seating but it looked like you could dine in and be served. The people were all nice. We will definitely be back to try different pizza topping combinations! read more

Good pizza, and quaint place for a bite. Staff is great just like their social media presence, and the desserts were good too. I had the cannoli and the Tiramisu with coffee, you guys know me. Easy on the old pocket book. the staff was super attentive and made the experience better. Look for parking in the local plaza. read more

Mozza pizza was very good! The atmosphere there was warm and fit in with the Huntsville vibe. We will visit again next time we are in town

Want a great slice, or perhaps a whole pie? Wanna dine in, or take out? Dessert with that slice? Go check out Mozza! I'm a sucker for a great NYC slice, and Mozza has it! Plenty of it too! The slices and whole pies are generous and toppings are primo! We generally keep it simple, with pepperoni and Italian sausage, but they have some really unique pizza offerings for all the adventurous folks out there! I might just have to venture out for the lasagna slice next time! The Jordan Ln local is quaint and parking is first come during their VERY busy lunch hours, so seating might be a small wait, but have no fear, take out for the rescue!! AND, you can do it easily online (for all my "that could have been a text instead of phone call peeps!!)! But if you do call to place an order, the staff is friendly and accommodating! DEFINETLY my favorite NY style pizza outside of the Big Apple itself! read more

Great pizza! Customer service needs work. Love to see this business grow but good customer service will make all the difference.

Pulling into the parking lot you begin to question coming here to eat. Don't worry. This place is really, really good. When we walked in we were warmly welcomed; the staff is incredible friendly. The garlic knots are excellent. They are slightly crispy. Fried? Maybe, I didn't ask, but they were delicious and had a great garlic flavor. We got the meat lovers pizza and it was great. The crust was thin and foldable, like NY style pizza is supposed to be, or so I've heard. I've never been to NYC. This place has a great selection of pizza and other items, so if you want good food and excellent service, you can't go wrong eating here. read more

Calzone was great! Service was a pick up but super friendly. The dining area was larger than I expected from the outside and looked clean from where I was at. If I wasn't in town for only a few days, I'd try some other items on the menu. read more

Glory, glory, hallelujah!! This place rocks!! Okay, first: I don't know if this is "authentic" NY style pizza. I've had pizza in NYC and this seems like that to me, but I'm no expert and I honestly don't care one way or another. Second: I think of pizza as akin to barbeque -- everyone has very different opinions of what makes the food "great," and if you don't like this style of pizza...well, that's gonna be a problem for you. But for me, I can finally say I've found pizza in Huntsville that I genuinely love. Did you ever beg your parents to take you to Chuck E Cheese as a kid so you could play games and eat pizza with your friends? That pizza tasted like the best ever back then, though I doubt that was a perspective rooted in reality. But the pizza here captured that ooey gooey cheesy wonderful nostalgia I have, and it made me super happy. This newish restaurant is in the old space of Taqueria El Palomino. It shares a shopping center with MK Wings off Jordan Lane. The parking lot is small and needs repaving, and the word about this place has clearly gotten out so it's likely crowded. It's worth it. The inside is sort of hole-in-the-wall Italian -- nothing fancy, checkered tablecloths, lots of seating -- but they do have the distinction of being one of the only spots in Huntsville to offer slices of pizza instead of whole pies. The restaurant is owned and operated by a family from Guatemala who grew up in NYC. Some of the staff don't speak a tooooon of English, but everyone I encountered was very friendly and welcoming and worked hard to make sure I got what I wanted. They have a fairly large menu with other Italian options like calzones, too. But I was here for pizza and it didn't disappoint! I ordered a slice of pepperoni, a slice of cheese, and a Coke, and had a delicious, fast, filling lunch for pretty much right at $10. The pizza slices were huge and hot. The crust is thin and crispy but maintains some nice chew instead of becoming crackery. There's ample cheese and fairly minimal sauce -- my preference -- and if you really wanted to, you could probably fold one of the slices, haha. I actually liked the cheese pizza better, as the pepperoni was a little greasy (unsurprising, and nothing a quick dab with a napkin couldn't fix), but both were outstanding. So excited to finally have a pizza place I'll agree to go to when everyone else is craving pizza. Thanks, Mozza! read more

Mozza Pizza Restaurant - Cheese and pepperoni pizza slices - Pizza Near Me - Huntsville, Alabama

While in Huntsville last weekend attending Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo we ventured out to Mozza Pizza Restaurant claiming to sell New York style pizza amongst other things. Unfortunately I did not get pictures of everything the excitement and hunger were overwhelming and I just well... forgot. I ordered 3 things appetizer, main dish, and dessert. First up were the mozzarella sticks. Very standard but still good. Like think Sonic mozzarella sticks but better. The marinara sauce was very good and thank God they didn't serve it cold. I can't stand going to a pizza place and they give you marinara sauce to dip your stuff in and it's ice cold. 8/10 Instead of ordering a whole pizza I ordered 1 New York meat lovers slice. It's exactly what you think it is its good standard foldable football pizza it was very good nothing crazy exciting about it. My only complaint is it needed more sauce because it came off a bit dry. As Dave Portnoy would probably say I give this a 7.8/10. Probably would have been a 8 or higher if it had more sauce. Lastly we got the cinnamon rolls. Now these were delicious. A bit crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside covered in icing. They were a bit too sweet for me but me and everyone else at the table really enjoyed them. I give them a 9/10, they are a must try! Overall this was a good pizza place and I will be back here next time I'm in Huntsville it was worth every penny. The service was good as well we had a very nice waitress and we never had to ask her for anything. Even when I accidentally knocked over my water she was there quickly to help. If you live in or ever in Huntsville I suggest you check this place out! read more

I can't decide if Mozza pizza is a hole in the wall or a dive. I asked my DIL and she couldn't decide either. What we both agree on is that they make some of the best darn pizza in Huntsville. Mozza's is located in a pretty run down strip in the middle of Jordan Lane, but don't let that fool you, the plaza is hopping - I often have trouble finding somewhere to park. They do have a dining room that has always been full and the bench and chairs by the front door are usually at capacity with folks waiting for carry-out. One thing I do recommend, if you going to be eating your pizza at home, pick it up yourself. For some reason, anytime we've had Mozza's delivered, it was cold. Mozza has many uniquely topped pies but my absolute favorite is the lasagna pizza. House made meat sauce, creamy ricotta and lots of mozzarella. It's very filling - I usually can't finish 2 slices from a large pie. We've also ordered the tried and true - pepperoni and our go to mushroom and onion. Both came with plenty of toppings. They offer the expected sm-lg plus a table filling XL. The XL, was enough to feed four hungry adults with leftovers. Growing up, my parents never put leftover pizza in the fridge, it sat on the kitchen counter until we finished it. Room temperature pizza was one of my favorite breakfasts. While I'd never leave food out like that, a slice of pepperoni pizza straight from the fridge makes one heck of a good breakfast! read more

We were close to Mozza and decided to stop in. The parking lot is a nightmare to get in and out of. People park any which way they can to get in the restaurant. A delivery truck was in the middle of the lot at 11 and talk about chaos. Cars were trying to get around the delivery truck to park to go inside Mozza. I am glad we were already inside when the delivery truck appeared. We ordered the giant supreme to go. Hubs was hungry so he asked for a Philly cheesesteak to go. The guy at the counter asked if hubs wanted fries added for $2. Inside there is a viewing case that holds 6 different pizzas. I saw a couple of men order two slices and a soda to go. This is a great option if it's not hot temperature wise inside as the pizza sits in a glass case with no heat lamps. After a couple hours they should have to throw away the pies I would think. The philly cheesesteak didn't have much taste. It was fully cooked with bell peppers and onions but bland tasting. The fries were soft. I like crispy fries. I would not order the sandwich again. The supreme pizza was good. It did seem as if the vegetables were an afterthought and added after the meats started cooking. I like crunchy vegetables so undercooked bell peppers and onions didn't bother me. If you do not like crunchy vegetables on your pizza, please stick with meats and cheese. If you pay by credit or debit card, they pass the 3% fee for using the cards to the customer. We will be back to try other menu items. If you like NY style pizza, please stop by and get a slice to fold and eat. read more

This has great food and friendly fast service. Well priced lunch special. Portions are huge!

I found out about this place since I had an event in the area. I've been looking forward to a place that has "pizza-by-the-slice" in Huntsville. Prices are fairly good for what we get. The area has a lot of seating inside as well. Everyone here was incredibly polite and helpful with my orders. I'll be back to visit around lunch! read more

My son lives in NYC, so I have had some great NY Pizza. This Mozza Pizza did NOT disappoint!! It was fabulous!! I got the Supreme - highly recommend. Superb variety of flavors, crust is thinner with some crunch. I like a little thicker crust but can't complain. Tried 2 slices -- cheese / basil + supreme-- and a drink. $10, very reasonable. Only open for a year, but it's a true NY pizza place in Huntsville Alabama -- from a guy who grew up on Long Island in 70s and 80s. read more

Authentic New York style pizza, ambience, and variety in Alabama. It's the best in northern Alabama.

What a delightful place! Granted, we got delivery--which they now offer in house--but I was downright excited by both the offerings and the final result. We shared a 12" lasagna pizza and split a slice of the eggplant. When I say the pizzas tasted like yum lasagna and eggplant parm, I mean it. Both were loaded with toppings, the sauces tasted fresh, and the cheese was ample. I changed my order time (had to call) and they were super friendly about it, too. This is less expensive than many other places (including big box places like Dominos) and for my money is as good as some of the pricier ones like Grimaldi's. Check them out! read more

I'm very glad I didn't let the bad reviews defer me from trying this place. Everything was sooooo good!! The menu is huge. The staff is very friendly & helpful. I ordered two pieces of pizza by the slice and my boyfriend ordered a medium taco pizza. Margherita slice was perfect, supreme slice was good, needed a little more flavor, maybe sausage? Pizza by the slice sits in the window case and is reheated once you order it. I was nervous about this but they both tasted super fresh! Perfect size and soft enough to fold and eat without making a mess. I'm not a fan of their ranch, thankfully I didn't need it anyways. The taco pizza was a hit!! I'm not sure what hot sauce they use but it was the perfect amount drizzled on top. We can't wait to come back to try the breakfast pizza that was suggested. Everything was priced reasonably. read more

Love this pizza! The staff are friendly and my orders are always perfect. Awesome Pizza ... glad I gave it a chance ... now its the only pizza I buy. Now has 2 locations.

So thrilled to find this new pizza restaurant, serving authentic and delicious NY style pizza!!! We ordered the supreme and the veggies were fresh, pizza dough tasty and hot, obvs right out of the oven. My daughter ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and said it was very tasty. Pasta was a big portion, too, for a reasonable price. We had a large salad as an appetizer and it was delicious. Service was spot on with very friendly staff and quick to deliver our food. Ambiance of the restaurant is okay, but that's not why I frequent restaurants, I want delicious food for a reasonable price and that's exactly what this restaurant delivers! read more

Yep, lived in Huntsville for 7 years now and finally found the best pizza in town. If you're looking for a good version of NY style pizza, Mozza's doesn't disappoint. Reasonable prices, absolutely delicious pizza. I judge pizza joints on a pepperoni classic pizza as to not confuse it by random toppings. Definitely will be visiting Mozza's weekly, great pizza!
