    Pizzas by the slice
    Mikayla K.

Excellent pizza! Sold by the slice or you can buy a whole pizza and there's tons of options. Some of which were bbq chicken, Quattro formaggi, chicken bacon ranch, margherita, supreme, meat lovers, eggplant ricotta, Hawaiian, etc. I opted for the grandma- a classic pizza topped with chunks of mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes. It was so well seasoned and flavorful. Really cheesy. We also got the sausage and pepperoni, which was good. The sauce has good flavor which I really enjoyed. My only complaint is that the crust is floppy. The pizza is loaded with toppings, which is a good thing, but I think it weighs down the thin chewy crust and there's not enough structure to hold it up. The restaurant itself has casual looking seating but it looked like you could dine in and be served. The people were all nice. We will definitely be back to try different pizza topping combinations!

Pulling into the parking lot you begin to question coming here to eat. Don't worry. This place is really, really good. When we walked in we were warmly welcomed; the staff is incredible friendly. The garlic knots are excellent. They are slightly crispy. Fried? Maybe, I didn't ask, but they were delicious and had a great garlic flavor. We got the meat lovers pizza and it was great. The crust was thin and foldable, like NY style pizza is supposed to be, or so I've heard. I've never been to NYC. This place has a great selection of pizza and other items, so if you want good food and excellent service, you can't go wrong eating here.

Glory, glory, hallelujah!! This place rocks!! Okay, first: I don't know if this is "authentic" NY style pizza. I've had pizza in NYC and this seems like that to me, but I'm no expert and I honestly don't care one way or another. Second: I think of pizza as akin to barbeque -- everyone has very different opinions of what makes the food "great," and if you don't like this style of pizza...well, that's gonna be a problem for you. But for me, I can finally say I've found pizza in Huntsville that I genuinely love. Did you ever beg your parents to take you to Chuck E Cheese as a kid so you could play games and eat pizza with your friends? That pizza tasted like the best ever back then, though I doubt that was a perspective rooted in reality. But the pizza here captured that ooey gooey cheesy wonderful nostalgia I have, and it made me super happy. This newish restaurant is in the old space of Taqueria El Palomino. It shares a shopping center with MK Wings off Jordan Lane. The parking lot is small and needs repaving, and the word about this place has clearly gotten out so it's likely crowded. It's worth it. The inside is sort of hole-in-the-wall Italian -- nothing fancy, checkered tablecloths, lots of seating -- but they do have the distinction of being one of the only spots in Huntsville to offer slices of pizza instead of whole pies. The restaurant is owned and operated by a family from Guatemala who grew up in NYC. Some of the staff don't speak a tooooon of English, but everyone I encountered was very friendly and welcoming and worked hard to make sure I got what I wanted. They have a fairly large menu with other Italian options like calzones, too. But I was here for pizza and it didn't disappoint! I ordered a slice of pepperoni, a slice of cheese, and a Coke, and had a delicious, fast, filling lunch for pretty much right at $10. The pizza slices were huge and hot. The crust is thin and crispy but maintains some nice chew instead of becoming crackery. There's ample cheese and fairly minimal sauce -- my preference -- and if you really wanted to, you could probably fold one of the slices, haha. I actually liked the cheese pizza better, as the pepperoni was a little greasy (unsurprising, and nothing a quick dab with a napkin couldn't fix), but both were outstanding. So excited to finally have a pizza place I'll agree to go to when everyone else is craving pizza. Thanks, Mozza!

While in Huntsville last weekend attending Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo we ventured out to Mozza Pizza Restaurant claiming to sell New York style pizza amongst other things. Unfortunately I did not get pictures of everything the excitement and hunger were overwhelming and I just well... forgot. I ordered 3 things appetizer, main dish, and dessert. First up were the mozzarella sticks. Very standard but still good. Like think Sonic mozzarella sticks but better. The marinara sauce was very good and thank God they didn't serve it cold. I can't stand going to a pizza place and they give you marinara sauce to dip your stuff in and it's ice cold. 8/10 Instead of ordering a whole pizza I ordered 1 New York meat lovers slice. It's exactly what you think it is its good standard foldable football pizza it was very good nothing crazy exciting about it. My only complaint is it needed more sauce because it came off a bit dry. As Dave Portnoy would probably say I give this a 7.8/10. Probably would have been a 8 or higher if it had more sauce. Lastly we got the cinnamon rolls. Now these were delicious. A bit crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside covered in icing. They were a bit too sweet for me but me and everyone else at the table really enjoyed them. I give them a 9/10, they are a must try! Overall this was a good pizza place and I will be back here next time I'm in Huntsville it was worth every penny. The service was good as well we had a very nice waitress and we never had to ask her for anything. Even when I accidentally knocked over my water she was there quickly to help. If you live in or ever in Huntsville I suggest you check this place out!

I can't decide if Mozza pizza is a hole in the wall or a dive. I asked my DIL and she couldn't decide either. What we both agree on is that they make some of the best darn pizza in Huntsville. Mozza's is located in a pretty run down strip in the middle of Jordan Lane, but don't let that fool you, the plaza is hopping - I often have trouble finding somewhere to park. They do have a dining room that has always been full and the bench and chairs by the front door are usually at capacity with folks waiting for carry-out. One thing I do recommend, if you going to be eating your pizza at home, pick it up yourself. For some reason, anytime we've had Mozza's delivered, it was cold. Mozza has many uniquely topped pies but my absolute favorite is the lasagna pizza. House made meat sauce, creamy ricotta and lots of mozzarella. It's very filling - I usually can't finish 2 slices from a large pie. We've also ordered the tried and true - pepperoni and our go to mushroom and onion. Both came with plenty of toppings. They offer the expected sm-lg plus a table filling XL. The XL, was enough to feed four hungry adults with leftovers. Growing up, my parents never put leftover pizza in the fridge, it sat on the kitchen counter until we finished it. Room temperature pizza was one of my favorite breakfasts. While I'd never leave food out like that, a slice of pepperoni pizza straight from the fridge makes one heck of a good breakfast!

We were close to Mozza and decided to stop in. The parking lot is a nightmare to get in and out of. People park any which way they can to get in the restaurant. A delivery truck was in the middle of the lot at 11 and talk about chaos. Cars were trying to get around the delivery truck to park to go inside Mozza. I am glad we were already inside when the delivery truck appeared. We ordered the giant supreme to go. Hubs was hungry so he asked for a Philly cheesesteak to go. The guy at the counter asked if hubs wanted fries added for $2. Inside there is a viewing case that holds 6 different pizzas. I saw a couple of men order two slices and a soda to go. This is a great option if it's not hot temperature wise inside as the pizza sits in a glass case with no heat lamps. After a couple hours they should have to throw away the pies I would think. The philly cheesesteak didn't have much taste. It was fully cooked with bell peppers and onions but bland tasting. The fries were soft. I like crispy fries. I would not order the sandwich again. The supreme pizza was good. It did seem as if the vegetables were an afterthought and added after the meats started cooking. I like crunchy vegetables so undercooked bell peppers and onions didn't bother me. If you do not like crunchy vegetables on your pizza, please stick with meats and cheese. If you pay by credit or debit card, they pass the 3% fee for using the cards to the customer. We will be back to try other menu items. If you like NY style pizza, please stop by and get a slice to fold and eat.

I found out about this place since I had an event in the area. I've been looking forward to a place that has "pizza-by-the-slice" in Huntsville. Prices are fairly good for what we get. The area has a lot of seating inside as well. Everyone here was incredibly polite and helpful with my orders. I'll be back to visit around lunch!

Excellent service, excellent mozzarella sticks, excellent pizza all at a reasonable price. The location doesn't look that great but the interior of the restaurant is very well maintained and up to date.

Love this concept for downtown Huntsville! Doesn't get much more convenient than a slice of pizza…read morefor lunch. Razzo is located on Holmes Avenue. There's street parking and several parking garages within a block or two -- I used the one off Jefferson St by The Moon, but there's also one on the corner of Holmes and Greene Street. It's not a bad walk at all so don't let parking scare you! The one on Jefferson is free for 2 hours and the one off Greene is cheap and free on the weekends. Anyway, now that I'm off my parking pedestal... Razzo fills a great niche for good pizza downtown. Perhaps better than that for me, it fills the niche of "place that is actually open and serving food from 2-4 PM downtown." I'm salty because of my frustration over finding adequate late lunch spots, but sincerely, I was so happy to be able to walk in and get a bite before an appointment a few weeks ago! They have specialty pizzas that you can order in whole pies, as well as a semi-rotating selection of specialty single slices. You can always get a pepperoni or cheese slice though, which is usually what I prefer anyway. They have a really nice weekday lunch special for two slices, a soda, and a small oreo calzone for dessert. They do have some craft beers on tap, and a few other dessert and appetizer-y options. The whole pies are a little pricy, but that's because... The quality is awesome! Chewy but not doughy sourdough crust, gooey, look-at-the-pull mozzarella, a healthy drizzle of olive oil, a gorgeous subtle tomato sauce, and nicely smoky pepperoni: that's how I'd describe the slice I got when I visited. It was so good! I'd say this place is definitely among my picks for best pizza in town. Service was nice and my slice came out quickly. The inside is approachable and comfy and has a few diversions for the kids if they come along. I also think they deliver over to The Dirty Olive just up the street, so if you'd like a pizza with your craft cocktail, well...you know who to call! Two small things I would change, if I could: the prompted tip on the tablet at the end of each transaction is really high for counter service (like, I wanna say starts at 25% high). I'm not personally too pressed about it as it's easy to change the percent and at any rate I believe the workers deserve a healthy tip anyway, but I can see how it could be off-putting. Second, more importantly for me, I wish there was real silverware for use during dine in. The individual slices are quite large and appropriately semi-floppy and very cheesy. In these types of situations, I much prefer to cut my pizza into smaller pieces and eat with a knife and fork. Plastic ones were provided but they really didn't get the job done with how chewy the sourdough crust was. Ultimately, these nitpicks are pretty small for me. I definitely look forward to stopping by in the future for a quick, simple, and delicious lunch or dinner!

There is also a drawing pad for kids on the wall. I'm excited for the grand opening and to see what their full menu will look like! Keep your eyes open, it should be 3/29-3/30/25. Seriously tough call on the rating here. I think I'll settle on a 3 but it was super close to a 4,…read morejust several minor frustrations added up. I came here with one of my best friends who was home for Thanksgiving to have a girl's day out. BeeZr advertises a nice-looking brunch on the weekends so we thought we'd try it out. She wound up not being able to meet until later in the afternoon but I'm not opposed to a late brunch, so we got there around 1. It was a gray and dreary day on Thanksgiving weekend, so I get it being slow, but the restaurant was literally empty except for us and the servers. We joked it was because we'd rented the whole building to treat each other. The vibe is...fine inside. It definitely looks and feels more like a brewery than a restaurant, with large equipment and a sort of dimly lit atmosphere and a few large TVs by the nice bar. They have a small patio on the square which is REALLY lovely and definitely would've been my preference if the weather was nicer. Our server was okay. He was soft-spoken and not unpleasant, but did sort of have a knack for appearing at inopportune times during the conversation. I get that it's not always possible to avoid, but a little more discretion would've gone a long way, especially since we were the only ones in there. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner. My biggest frustration was definitely the menu and item availability. I pre-read it and came knowing what I wanted (bananas foster French toast) only to discover that they were running a limited Thanksgiving weekend brunch menu and therefore it wasn't being offered that day. The first thing my friend ordered also wasn't available. I had my heart set on brunch so I asked for the breakfast burrito instead. Our waiter had to go check and make sure the kitchen could do it. Turns out they could - yay. But then I asked for potatoes to go with it -- and there were no breakfast potatoes available. I went with fries instead. When my burrito arrived at the table, there was no salsa or sour cream, which was supposed to come with it. Any component part of this experience is not a HUGE deal, but it all added up to be rather disappointing. My friend got the bulgogi tacos, which came in an order of two sort of small tacos. She liked them and said they were really good. She also got first a French mimosa and then a classic mimosa; I also had a classic mimosa. Both were generic but enjoyable. My breakfast burrito was decent, but I really missed the salsa and sour cream. The bacon inside was cut into tiny crunchy pieces, which I liked. The eggs were cooked very well but needed more salt and pepper. I enjoyed the bright burst of peppers and some were even a tiny bit spicy. It was a large serving but I wish it came with some side item instead of me having to order one. The side of fries was generous and they were really good -- super crispy but still fluffy inside. I thought the bill was a little high for 1 mimosa, a breakfast burrito, and fries -- almost $40. The burrito alone was $18, which seems like sooooo much for a brunch entree with no sides. Idk. Maybe I don't do mid-scale dining enough. Overall, I thought the quality of the food was solid enough that I'd consider returning, but I'd call ahead to see if they had what I wanted to avoid frustration.
