Fish n chips to go
Pamela M.

06/12/2025 update. Independent of the various fees Jonathan's Grill charges (since I didn't see the receipt and hubs did takeout and picked it up), the Caesar Salad and Fish 'n Chips he got for me yesterday were great! The portion sizes were back up to their initial sizes when they first opened, and big bonus, they actually did put my Caesar salad dressing on the side, which was huge! If they hadn't, the salad would have been a mushy mess by the time hubs got home. The Caesar had large flakes of fresh parmesan cheese and it was nice to be able to just lightly dip each fork full of salad in the dressing. The dressing was fresh and house made tasting. This meal was a nice Mother's Day win and I have plenty of leftovers to reheat in the air fryer today! Between hub's quesadilla and grilled chicken salad, he has two meals also! Thanks Jonathan's.

Food is so good and flavorful! It's a very family friendly restaurant, I come here often! Everyone is very friendly and food came out in a decent time! 10/10

Great atmosphere, great food. Steak was perfectly cooked but a little too seasoned for my liking. The chicken and red peppers over rice had a little heat but was great. Fast service for a late night visit. Recommended :)

Our first time at Jonathan's, and it was truly wonderful. Hubby had Waldorf salad, fresh and delicious My chicken teriyaki bowl was awesome The fried cauliflower appetizer was delectable! Highly recommend! Our waitress treated us like family, and the atmosphere was upbeat. Very clean and well organized.

I recently visited Johnathan's during a quick visit home. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Saturday night, and the place was packed. We only waited a few minutes, just so they could clear a table for us. We ordered 2 appetizers, the fried pickles and the bang bang shrimp egg rolls. The pickles were delicious, just a bit too salty for my preference. The egg rolls looked good, but didn't have much flavor. For my main meal, I ordered the Southwest chicken sandwich. It also looked great, but wasn't flavorful. My boyfriend ordered the alfredo pasta with salmon and my mom ordered a salad, which they both enjoyed. My mom and I decided to order desert, which I got the chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich and she ordered the chocolate cake. Both were large portions and it was really good. Our waitress was extremely attentive and quick to refill our cups of water and check if our table was ok. Overall, I think this is a good affordable spot to grab some food. The menu is extensive, so I'd definitely go back and try something else.

First of all, Keevian is a fantastic, friendly, helpful server. The food is great, the prices are pretty reasonable. This is our first visit but we plan to be back.

Here for the party!

Great food and even on a busy night for a party of seven the wait was not bad. We will be back. The service was great.

The food was good and the waitress was nice, but I asked for no fries with my steak and the chef refused to accommodate due to presentation.

Stoney River - Bistro Chicken with baked potato

Something came up making Friday a bad choice, so I made another reservation for Saturday and cancelled the on for Friday. Once again I got a text message for both the Friday cancellation and Saturday booking. The automated replies made it convenient. We arrived a few minutes before or reservation and were seated right away. They were quick to respect my request for a nearby booth, as I have a disability walking. We ordered the steak appetizer roles that were outstanding! My wife ordered a Caesar salad that was huge, along with the filet with a baked potato. When I looked at the menu days prior, I was eyeing the shrimp and grits, but after seeing nearby tables entrees, I quickly ordered the ribeye. Our server, Jesstina was off the wall spectacular! Our appetizer came out quick, and our main course came out soon after we were done enjoying our appetizers. She made sure our every need was taken care of, and her attitude was as if we were her long time friends. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary of 23 years, and the dining experience was perfect! Spectacular service, an outstanding food selection and a 10 out of 10! This was our first time at this Stoney River, but it won't be the last! And you can rest assured, we'll make sure Jesstina will be our requested server!

Stoney River delivers solid flavor and quality, and the ambiance makes the experience even better…read more The atmosphere is classy, dimly lit, and upscale without feeling overly formal. It is a great spot for a date night or a special evening out. We started with the crab cake. It was definitely good, flavorful, and nicely prepared, but at 18 dollars for a single crab cake, it felt a little steep. The standout of the night was the Wild Mushroom Meatloaf. It was hearty, well seasoned, and something I would absolutely reorder. We paired it with asparagus and Parmesan fries. The asparagus was fresh and succulently seasoned, cooked just right. The Parmesan fries were crispy and flavorful and made a great complement to the meal. I ordered the London Dip, which had good flavor overall, especially paired with the roasted wild mushrooms. That combination worked well together. However, for the price point, I think next time I might try something else on the menu. It was good, just not quite as memorable as the meatloaf. We also tried the smoked gouda mac and cheese, which was rich and tasty and definitely a solid side option. Overall, Stoney River offers good quality dishes with strong flavors in a classy setting that makes it perfect for date night. A few items feel priced on the higher side, but I would return, especially for that meatloaf.

My final work travel stop this week wrapped up with a mighty fine meal at Prohibition Rooftop Bar &…read moreGrill in Madison, Alabama. The restaurant sits just a stone's throw from the ballpark where the Rocket City Trash Pandas play, so the whole place already has a fun, lively atmosphere before you even sit down. Now given the name "Prohibition," I half expected someone to knock on the door and ask for a secret password like it was 1927. Back in those days, enjoying a drink required secrecy, dim lights, and maybe a jazz band playing in the corner. Today, things are a little easier... though for this non-drinker, my order was simple: water on the rocks, hold the lemon. I prefer my water about 100 proof for maximum flavor. My boss and coworker grabbed seats at the bar while we looked over the menu. We kicked things off with the Pork Belly Burnt Ends and the Pork Bao Buns. Let me tell you, those Pork Belly Burnt Ends were an absolute masterpiece. They came out crisp and seasoned just right with a little spicy kick. Served with raw carrots, homemade pickles, and lettuce wraps to bundle those little jewels together--downright tasty. If food had a Hall of Fame, these would already have a plaque on the wall. The Pork Bao Buns were good as well, but they simply couldn't match the grand slam the Pork Belly Burnt Ends delivered. For my main course, I ordered the Smoked Wangs with the Jala Mango seasoning and a side salad. The wings were delicious--cooked and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was solid. No bootlegging required. Prohibition definitely hit it out of the park today. Between the great food, the great service, and the fun atmosphere near the ballpark, this place is a must-stop for locals or anyone just passing through Madison. Our waitress tried pretty hard to convince us to order dessert, so I'm guessing their sweets are just as flavorful as everything else on the menu. The only problem I had today? I couldn't finish my meal. I was absolutely stuffed. If this had been the 1920s, the only crime committed here would've been leaving food on the plate. Great food. Great service. I'll gladly return--though next time I may need a little more room in the stomach.

This restaurant is a sports bar with Cajun type of food place. There is a nice size full bar and lots of TVs. I imagine this place is rocking during Alabama and Auburn football games. I ordered a grilled chicken avocado sandwich. It came with waffle fries. My chicken was perfectly cooked and quite juicy. The addition of raw onion delivered excellent flavors to the wheat bun and chicken sandwich. 5/5 I was going to order a side salad and opted for a Cypress Cobb Salad with ranch dressing. It was loaded with grilled chicken, bacon, red onion, tomatoes, eggs, and lettuce, This salad was delicious! 5/5 Dave ordered Fried Catfish Orleans, deconstructed. He asked for the fried catfish, the fried shrimp, and the crawfish étouffée to be served separately rather than everything piled on top of each other. He said the catfish was very good, the shrimp was very good and he enjoyed the crawfish étouffée, but said it was on the spicy side. I am glad I asked him to get the dish deconstructed. This way he was able to enjoy the catfish and shrimp and not worry about the étouffée being too spicy. He loved his meal. 5/5 I asked for a cup of red beans and rice to go. The red beans were on the spicy side. They were very tasty but definitely had some kick. 5/5 If you like sporting events and going to a sports bar versus sitting at home, please stop by Walk On's. They have great foods and my waitress, Alexis, is more than capable of loading everyone up! We will return. 5/5

The patties were cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful, and the bacon was done just right with that nice balance of crispy and tender. Simple but really well executed. The Fried Alligator Bites were a bit of a letdown for me. They were a tad chewy, almost like biting into pure cartilage at times, which kind of threw off the experience. I have had way better fried alligator, especially at Cajun Roux Bar & Grill in Providence, so I think my expectations were just higher going in. All in all, not too bad. It might have just been an off night. I would totally come back, but I would probably try something different next time.
