We were seated right away and warmly greeted by a kind and attentive waitress, which made the experience start off on a great note. I ordered the ribeye, and it was delicious. It was a bit thinner than I personally prefer, but it was cooked perfectly to medium rare and had great flavor. My sister ordered the prime rib, which was absolutely the highlight of the table--tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Her boyfriend had the blackened chicken, and that was another fantastic dish. Overall, I was really impressed with this place. The food, service, and ambiance were all great. This is probably my favorite late night place to get a bite to eat! I come here on a regular and am always satisfied. Food is always flavorful, hot, and service is great! Kudos to the manager and owner for having a great team. Best appetizers include fried pickles, brussel sprouts , spinach dip and anything bam bam. We visit this establishment several times a month and we never leave disappointed. The food and service both are excellent with plenty of portions. 06/12/2025 update. Independent of the various fees Jonathan's Grill charges (since I didn't see the receipt and hubs did takeout and picked it up), the Caesar Salad and Fish 'n Chips he got for me yesterday were great! The portion sizes were back up to their initial sizes when they first opened, and big bonus, they actually did put my Caesar salad dressing on the side, which was huge! If they hadn't, the salad would have been a mushy mess by the time hubs got home. The Caesar had large flakes of fresh parmesan cheese and it was nice to be able to just lightly dip each fork full of salad in the dressing. The dressing was fresh and house made tasting. This meal was a nice Mother's Day win and I have plenty of leftovers to reheat in the air fryer today! Between hub's quesadilla and grilled chicken salad, he has two meals also! I've reviewed this place before, but honestly with each visit it gets worse each time. I've let it go and not posted giving them the benefit of the doubt. The food is getting pretty bad. I tried their new horseshoe sandwich this last trip. Hey, chili and cheese on a burger. Has to be good right? Not so, the chili was overpoweringly sweet. I'm not from the north. To me sweet chili should make you eligible for the twenty years. At the least you should be banned from any kitchen anywhere. The service is still pretty good, as is the ambiance, but the food continues to slide. Hopefully they can return to their old form, but it will take real work. read more

I recently visited Johnathan's during a quick visit home. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Saturday night, and the place was packed. We only waited a few minutes, just so they could clear a table for us. We ordered 2 appetizers, the fried pickles and the bang bang shrimp egg rolls. The pickles were delicious, just a bit too salty for my preference. The egg rolls looked good, but didn't have much flavor. For my main meal, I ordered the Southwest chicken sandwich. It also looked great, but wasn't flavorful. My boyfriend ordered the alfredo pasta with salmon and my mom ordered a salad, which they both enjoyed. My mom and I decided to order desert, which I got the chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich and she ordered the chocolate cake. Both were large portions and it was really good. Our waitress was extremely attentive and quick to refill our cups of water and check if our table was ok. Overall, I think this is a good affordable spot to grab some food. The menu is extensive, so I'd definitely go back and try something else. read more

The restaurant is bigger than it looks from the street. It has a large seating area and a large bar. TVs are located throughout the restaurant making it a great place to watch football. The menu is diverse and reasonably priced. The service is attentive and quick, especially during the current labor shortage. I've been here 3 or 4 times and this is the second time that I had the cajun sausage pasta. It is very good, has a little kick, and is a large portion that I couldn't finish. We got the chocolate cake for dessert and four of us couldn't finish it. The only negative is the 3% Developer's fee that is added to all tickets. read more

I ordered the cauliflower crust pepperoni, sausage and mushroom. Let me tell ya, it's THE BEST pizza I have had in YEARS due to the whole GF thing. The crust was buttery smooooth and crispy- not the GF crrrunch. It is beyond ANY other GF crust I have had. Let me add the fact that the cheese was melty deliciousness, they are not jacking around. We arrived at peak time--6:15pm. I had no trouble getting a parking spot, although the lot was crowded. There is a parking trap in the front of the establishment, but I found two spots there. The wait was stated to be an hour. The weather was pleasant, and there was a good variety of places to wait and enjoy some downtime. One strange thing--they were out of pagers, and told us the pagers didn't work unless you were a few feet from the building. What modern restaurant cheaps out like that on the proximity pager system/install? Not a complaint...just really odd, especially for a chain. They were calling names and I have no issue with old school. It does mean that you can't wait in your car, though (in the case of a longer wait). We were promptly seated in 45 minutes with drinks on the table. The atmosphere was louder than I thought it would be, but it is a sports bar. At first it reminded me a little of THIF, without the weird vibe. I ordered The Godfather sandwich with Chili. The Chili was savory but not spicy. It was pleasantly different...a bit sweet. The Sandwich was flavorful and absolutely my new favorite. It was one of those things that is so good that you don't want to risk trying something else next time, if you know what I mean? It was the perfect match for my tastebuds. Service was attentive, my glass never ran dry, and food was quick/fresh. I wasn't lied to about the wait. The cost for two was $32 without a tip. Went in yesterday for a late lunch with my best friend. He had the perfect prime sandwich with fries and I had the fiesta wrap with onion rings. Started out with a couple of house salads w/blue cheese and the fried cauliflower... The cauliflower just because we were curious about it and looked interesting and it was a good choice! The standout of our experience was our server, Maryann, who was absolutely AMAZING! Her proactive approach, checking in after the appetizers/salads to ensure a perfectly timed food order, was a true blessing. Maryann's exceptional service earned her a well-deserved five stars . We sincerely hope to have her take care of us every time we visit. Kudos to Jonathan's for having such an attentive and caring person on their staff It's a wee bit too loud in some of the spaces farthest from the bar and you have to use your outside voice to talk to people at the table. Went to Johnathan's today for the first time to have lunch, it was pretty good. I ordered the Melody's French dip sandwich (made w/shaved prime rib) w/cup of french onion soup as the side. Both were excellent! My wife had the avocado club sandwich (made w/grilled chicken) w/steamed broccoli as the side. She liked the sandwich (don't think she liked bread so much). She said that next time she might prefer to have something like a grilled chicken salad. The service was very good. Our waiter stopped by the table several times to see if needed anything. This use to be a great place to dine, but lately it is become a downgrade for great service. I brought my daughter in tonight for a birthday dinner, and it was anything but good. The waitress Marlene should not be working in customer service. She has zero compassion, and is not into serving diversity of any kind. If your in customer service as a waitress, you should always check in on your tables, the entire time we were dining, she did not come to our table to offer refills, check if we needed anything. We had to stop other waiters to ask for assistance. She over charged us and the food was it was a very disappointing,. The shrimp was cold and wings cooked very hard. We did speak with a manager, who showed little remorse for any of our concerns. He was more interested in showing his tattoo of his sword on his arm. Been wanting to try Jonathan's since they first opened; they have a large menu with lots of good-sounding stuff available. It's a haul from my house but I found myself with time the other day so I placed an order for carryout to give them a go. Ordering was easy and done over the phone. I was told my food would take 15 minutes, and it was bagged and waiting for me when I arrived 17 minutes later, so no complaints there. The parking lot is a little intimidating but there's lots of spaces so if you're gun shy like me find a less packed area and get some extra steps in. :) The interior is bigger than you'd expect, lots of nice TVs, comfy seating, and a very large bar. My pickup order was waiting on a counter near the bar area, down a hallway on your right as you walk in. Their outdoor patio looks nice. The bartender handled my payment and gave me my food. The table I signed my receipt on was still damp, I'm guessing from being wiped down, but that was a little unpleasant. Oh well. I got the southwest egg rolls and a Diet Coke. The egg rolls were plenty enough for a meal for me (about 3 egg rolls total, cut into 6 pieces) and cost $10. The Diet Coke was $3, which made my head spin for the size of the cup. Should've gone to a gas station or Walmart for my beverage, lol. Otherwise, I was happy with the portion/price ratio. The egg rolls were reaaaaally good and I basically have no complaints or notes! Perfectly crispy on the outside, gooey and cheesy on the inside, plenty of chicken and other fillings, and just a few little chopped jalapeños for a kick. The dipping sauce was maybe a little thin but tasted great! It traveled well on my way back and the egg rolls didn't suffer at all. I would definitely return and order my same meal again. Tried this place for the first time on a Sunday @ 1:30 pm as a party of 2 and got seated immediately- thought that was awesome. Lots of seating options and the building holds so many people! Parking is somewhat limited for the amount of guests they can hold, so just be mindful of that if it's a busier time. Food was good, waitstaff was attentive & there were a millions TVs for all the Sunday football! Only critique: Fries were over-fried a little bit and needed seasoning.
