I've tried their other pizza crusts, which I feel are more standard, but they make their Detroit style deep dish pizza very very well, and this is the one I would come back for. Normally this is my favorite pizza in Chicago, particularly the Detroit Style. I've been coming to this branch since they opened. Unfortunately, the past three experiences have been less than stellar. The deliveries were barely warm, and I waited 1.5 hours for delivery. Final straw, they raised their prices and a small 4 corner Eugene Supreme was $22 (adding pepperoni, $25 for which I received 8 slices of pepperoni, total, with two slices having no pepperoni at all). My expectations were probably too high, and this is probably best ordered when I'm drunk, but I was really hoping for better. It's just mediocre Detroit style pizza, but it has a lot of potential. I've ordered a few times from this location since moving to Chicago. Tonight I got basic pepperoni and it arrived on time (a plus). But it was borderline cold, not even lukewarm. Like, I get that it's not going to be piping hot because it's a Saturday night and I'm sure you're delivering to multiple places but 1) the box was cold so the pizza probably wasn't hot when it was put in there to begin with, 2) isn't that what those pizza bags are for - to keep pizza warm in cars when delivering? 3) Jet's is not a stranger to delivery, it's not something new in the pandemic, so there's no reason my pizza should be cold or stale. I put it in the microwave like I would leftovers which was pretty disappointing. I could've gotten a frozen pizza and paid less than half the price. I ordered through Grubhub a pizza last night from this location and my delivery instructions were very clear. "Do not leave Food with front desk, drop at my unit door. This driver had the mind to leave the pizza unattended at my front desk, leave , then text me (see) picture, then call me and tell me he was absolutely not leaving my food at my unit door. Ordered some Jet's late night twice recently to soak up some alcohol and soak it did! Went with the 4 corner pep for me and my lady of the night this past Saturday. Got some wings too. Little heat on those bad boys so ate them hovered over the kitchen sink as Jimi does with spicy food (see my Fry the Coop review, link in the comments section). Actually ran a 5K (for charity not too brag) the following morning and did pretty well (finished 53rd out of 74 in my age group). This could be bad... a new Jet's location opened up on my street and I never thought it would be a problem. Until now. You see, the last time I had Jet's Pizza it was truly average-- no better than Little Caesar's, Papa John's, or Pizza Hut. This time, I made two life changing decisions: 1. Square pizza. Sounds weird, tastes great. 2. Garlic crust. You'll thank me later. Honestly, I thought an average 3 star rating was bound to be Jet's fate. Not this time! My boyfriend and I ordered the pizza for pick-up. It was ready on time and the workers were energetic and nice. They showered us with thank you's as we walked out the door! The only thing I regret was not ordering a larger pizza. $15 bucks got us 4 moderately-sized square pieces of "deep dish" pizza... Jet's Pizza delivers. Not only do they physically deliver their pizzas, but their pizza satisfies. If it's a Friday night and you're looking to have a party, or if it's a Monday and you've got the blues, Jet's Pizza is a pretty decent choice. I give it 4 stars because for carry-out pizza, it is delicious! The pizza holds together well as it is evenly cooked and the cheese doesn't jump off the pizza when peeling off a new slice. I definitely recommend their garlic bread for any of their choices as it adds some depth of taste and boosts the overall quality of the pizza. I've tried many of their toppings and they are evenly spaced and have great flavor. This specific location has little to offer for sitting, so I definitely recommend ordering for pick-up or delivery. I first stumbled upon Jet's Pizza on a drunken night and thought it was delicious! I didn't finish it for some reason so I got to finish it the next morning sober. WOW. Honestly, didn't expect to still LOVE it the next day because I figured I just had drunchies when I tried it. I heated it up in my toaster oven and it was honestly better than I remembered it (which is extremely surprising). After that great first experience, my boyfriend and I decided to go again because I was craving it. We got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of sausage and yes... it was still just as good! They are thick, rectangular slices of pizza and the crust is soooo crispy and flavorful. I don't remember the exact price, but I know it was pretty affordable. Super hole in the wall place but had great service. I really enjoyed talking to the cashier who told us how many pizzas they make a day. Again, I dont remember the exact amount, but it was a lot lol. And the last time I had this I ordered a New York Style pizza (I'm from New York) and I'm not really sure what was New York about it, except for the price.
