The dining room looks inviting and comfortable, however, it seems the bar is the feature, so don't expect a quiet dinner experience. Definitely a good, casual bar experience in downtown Reading. Jukebox that you can't play with your Touchtune/AMI app. Tons of Pennsylvania Skill games(more than I've ever seen at one bar) Seemed like a clean place though so no complaints. The real star of the show is the bartender/chef/manager Harry. He is on the ball! Super nice guy too. He has to serve all the patrons plus cook up all the food and keep non-patrons from using the restroom or just hanging out. He does it all with ease and is fun to talk to as well. I've been here twice already and will return for third time shortly. It's is 45 minutes from house so I can't go on a regular basis but they're so good I gotta make a trek there a few times a year. The fresh avocado slices in the huaraches and the special green-chili sauce makes this "spicy kitchen" a favorite lunch stop for us. You can take out or eat in; and we've done both. The advantage of eating in is that the food is more fresh and you don't have to worry about it getting cold on the way home. The owners and cooks will bring out the food to you, which is great service. There are a few tables and a long bar with stools in front of a wall mirror to sit at. One potential downside is that it's noisy with the TV and radio on (often blasting, and in Spanish). One thing that is sort of interesting, too, is that the common side order is french fries instead of tortilla chips. It's in the middle of the city of Reading, but on a side street away from the main attractions of downtown. On street parking is typically not an issue when we go, around 1PM during the week. We've never had problems with ordering custom-made dishes in English, as most of the dishes are listed in Spanish on the in-store menu--and this is something we really appreciate, as my wife prefers to custom-order for personal reasons (e.g., "without cilantro, onions, and tomatoes"). The price is excellent for the amount of food and quality of service you receive.
