Breakfast Croissant Sandwich with potatoes
Paula M.

We come here often but unfortunately this time was not the best. Everything we ordered just came out overcooked/burnt. Maybe there was a new cook back there. The bread pudding was hard and tasted old. It's normally fantastic! The potatoes were borderline burnt, eggs over cooked, cheese as well, croissant and toast over toasted...you get the point. Normally things are very good and consistent here so maybe it was just an off day.

A fun brunch spot right in the for lauderdale executive airport . The restaurant itself isn't very big . My friends and I were able to get a table on a Sunday morning around 10:30 without an issue . The large windows make it easy to watch smaller planes and helicopters take off and land. A fun place for the kiddos . We had the French toast with the strawberries-was delicious, the avocado toast - yum and an omelette. We like to order a few things . So we all can get a taste of different dishes .

Wow! It's been a while since I've been blown away by both food and service. Stopped in for breakfast for the first time and was so impressed! The food is great!! The famous fried bread pudding- is a must try!! Seriously! It was delicious- I wasn't sure if I liked bread pudding or not and the waitress was so kind to let me try a small piece. Loved it and the croissant sandwich so much, I ordered both to go for my husband! It's a very small spot within the executive airport- thankfully gps got me there no problem! Of note, there are signs all around pointing where to head to too which is nice. There are large windows that let you peer out to the tarmac to see jets taking off and landing. Pretty cool. They have several tvs inside as well. They serve breakfast and lunch and can be found on uber and door dash too! So glad I finally got to try this place. Will definitely be back again!

So today's my birthday and wanted to spend time with my family. My husband and kids at a new place. I saw great reviews here and I love to try out new places to eat. The wait time was good I was told 25 minutes but it was actually 10-13 minutes wait which is great. Upon sitting down greeted by the waitress and she calls me a kid can you say I felt so good because it's my birthday and I'm in my 30s was like YASS!! But back to the review. My daughter had kids meal with is the waffles let's just say the plate was empty. I ordered the first class steak medium with a side of grits which was good. My husband had the hash brown dish and let's just say that was delicious I had some. And the create your own omelette was good too. I will definitely come back to try other dishes Oh yeah btw it's place is nice as its by a small airport and nice view.

I've been coming here since my oldest was little. Today he had the day off work and asked to take me to breakfast here, as we haven't been in a while. We walked into this bright little restaurant that's hidden away in the Ft Lauderdale Executive airport, at 9ish this Friday morning. Hardly anyone was there, and the hostess told us to pick where we wanted to sit. We already knew what we wanted, so it was an easy and quick order for our waitress, who had greeted us promptly. We didn't wait long before she brought out 2 Full Tanks - his with pancakes, mine with French toast. We sat there by the window watching the planes while enjoying our delicious breakfast - per usual, he ate all his pancakes and half my French toast. This place gets very packed on the weekends, and the menu is for all day long.

My husband and I came here for breakfast today. Just know upfront -- there was about a 45-minute wait. The inside is small, so it makes sense, but be prepared if you come on a busy morning. The staff was nice and friendly, no complaints there. I will say, the location is really cool. It's literally at the airport, so you can watch the planes take off and land up close while you're eating. That part definitely adds to the experience. After we ordered, it took another 20+ minutes for the food to come out. So between the wait and the kitchen time, breakfast turned into a bit of a process. The food was good overall. Everything was solid except the pancakes. They just weren't it. Overall, good experience. I'd come back.

Jet Runaway Cafe is the runaway best breakfast place in town. The food is great and the portions are substantial. I ordered the "full tank" which has eggs plus bacon and sausage and French toast. The crunchy French toast is worth a visit. You can also watch the private jets fly out from the nearby runway. The cafe has a aviation vibe and the service is usually quick.

I'd say this place is worth checking out. It is right by the executive airport and you can watch planes landing and taking off which is really neat. The food is usually pretty decent. Even though it is tasty it is usual not enough to tempt me to come back unless I want to show off the neat view to friends and family. I would avoid going there around noon because they tend to be very busy. This is located nearby several office buildings so it tends to fill up with workers during the lunch rush. As for the interior, I always find it to be quite loud in there. Not from the planes but just from people talking. I think they should consider getting noise absorbing equipment so the chatter is less overwhelming.

I wasn't prepared for how delicious this place would be when I first walked into Jet Runway Café! The vibe is low-key -- the kind of hidden gem that feels like a local secret. Its tucked away. I went on a weekday around 11:30 AM and it was already packed (which says a lot), but the service was still impressively fast and friendly. The menu is American but full of variety -- something for everyone. I ordered the brioche burger with bacon and fries, and it was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and flavorful, with crispy fries. I noticed that every plate coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. Such a cool vibe, the planes and helicopters landing right in front of you while you eat. It's like a laid-back brunch with a private air show! I can't wait to come back and try their breakfast and salads next.

We came to Jet Runway Cafe for breakfast after church and really enjoyed the experience. The ambiance is neat and relaxed, with great views of the runway where you can watch planes take off, which adds a unique touch to the meal. Service started off a bit slow due to a lack of attentiveness and could have been better, but it wasn't terrible and improved as the visit went on. The food, however, was the highlight. Everything was delicious. I ordered the fried bread pudding, which was a 10/10, along with the Full Tank and the Egg Benedict, and all dishes were well-prepared and satisfying. Overall, it was a good experience and definitely worth another visit.

Silver Lining Salad

We found this place through Yelp, but how to use Google Maps to ensure that we were close to the area. We went on a Sunday around 1040 and there was a long line but they have this cool system where they asked for your phone number and then they will text you once you're table is ready and they were on point my wait was 25 minutes and at 22 minutes. I got a text. But this place is really popular and I could see why the staff are nice. The place is clean and there's a nice variety of food. My husband had the silver lining salad and that hard bread was delicious. It was like cinnamon cranberry toast, but it was yummy. I ordered the egg Benedict and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. There just wasn't enough hollandaise sauce on my egg Benedict but other than that, it was good and it was nice to look at the Jets landing and leaving and imagine the one percent that I will never be a part of.

Jet Runway Cafe is one of those hidden gems located in the Fort Lauderdale north airport. I think it is one of the better breakfast options in town. Service is usually quick and it has to be for people awaiting their jet. I like the "full tank" which offers a complete breakfast including both eggs and pancakes if you are feeling gluttonous. The vibe is relaxed and you can see the planes take off as the restaurant has great runway views.

Such a cool concept. Food is decent. I ordered waffle and chicken. The portion size is very good. Service is fast. This place is packed on Thursday morning. Plan ahead.

Avocado toast with egg on the side and grits. Of course they're French toast too. Yummy!

Hello do this place take reservations or is it just walk ins?

No there's no outside seating. The restaurant is literally located in a hangar at the Ft Lauderdale executive Airport. The restaurant faces the runway with wall to wall glass. So every seat is a window seat. You can watch the planes take off and… Read more

The place was beautifully well designed and the music just brought the vibes. We were greeted immediately by a staff, Miriam. She was very friendly and so informative about the menu. Right when we were sat down another staff came and offered us couple of options of bottled water. The restaurant house bread which was toasted pita with an olive dip was delicious. My son and I had an espresso martini. Best we've ever had and the presentation was beautiful. Miriam gave us suggestions of what were popular and what were her favorites. We went with a couple dishes. Started with the shrimp dish that looked to be cooked in a spicy tomato sauce. It came with a side of pita/naan bread. Both came to the table very hot. The way I like my food. Btw. It was DELISH!!!! Then we had a single order of the mixed grilled. Everything on that platter was so flavorful. I'm usually not a fan of chicken breast but this one had so much flavor and still a bit moist. The filet was so tender and again flavorful. The ground meat stick was very moist and had the perfect amount of seasoning. We ate everything. Really wish we ordered the meal for two. We ended our dinner with their kaniff cheese dessert with a side of pistachios ice cream. The dessert came on a hot plate. It looked dipped in breadcrumbs and fried in butter. Then drizzled with honey and topped with lots of pistachios. It was perfect way to end our dinner. It wasn't too sweet and the pistachios ice cream tasted homemade. Both were so good. Everything Miriam suggested was a hit. My son and I had a great time. We will be back on Friday and bring the rest of our family to try the food and watch the belly dancing show. Everyone there was so helpful. Great place to try Lebanese food. AMAZING!!! Thank you Miriam for making this dining experience wonderful. We were coming from Hallandale, we had an 8pm reservation got seated around 815 which wasn't too bad. We were sat in a dimmer quieter section away which I really appreciate since our 1 year old was sleeping giving us the perfect date-night setting. Unfortunately the last time we been to Shooters was Valentine's Day 2025. We weren't aware that the menu had been changed since our last time dining which was rather unfortunate since the two entrees (seared brown butter scallops & shrimp and grilled soy-ginger glazed salmon) we came for were changed on the menu. We ended up getting the soy glazed salmon and scallops & prawns which unfortunately we did not enjoy at all. Even the sides were different previously you could just get a side of Mac now you can only get a side of truffle Mac? The grilled soy ginger salmon was on a bed of veggies (bok choy, Napa cabbage, onions, peppers) the one that's currently on the menu was basically on two inedible pieces of bok choy and a bed of rice I couldn't even break and chew the bok choy. Our server Ava was very attentive and sweet even gave a beautiful little treat for a birthday dessert ( not a chocolate fan but her energy made the dessert amazing ). After we paid our check we asked Ava for a manager and did specify that it was regarding the food more and not her service. I didn't catch the name of the manager we spoke to but her response to us simply questioning the menu change was she's not the culinary director or something along those lines but she would still hear our feedback. She just had such an I don't care attitude about it in my opinion and had I not had a few drinks in my system, trying to enjoy my time out with my family and birthday I would've let her know her attitude regarding it just was unnecessary. We unfortunately agreed to find a new go-to restaurant to celebrate our special occasions since so much has changed. Thank you so much to Ava for making our visit worth it! Didn't get pictures of the salmon, scallops, drinks or oysters that we got but I did get the fish dip and the dessert. Edited to add pictures from one of our previous visits
