Great response time (called right back & then here in 30 minutes). Kevin was great tellin me how to save what i thought was a loss,, and gave me a quick resonable quote (without pressure to make a sale). I hope not to need him any time soon, but he's my tree guy from now on. read more

I have used their services on several occasions already. I first used them to trim & remove some trees when I first bought the house. Prices much more reasonable than some other estimates I got at the time. And now I have them come out periodically for maintenance. Kevin is great guy with clear advice & easy to work with. Timely responses to calls & messages. Comes out promptly for estimates & finishes the work in the set timeframe. Clean job site with no mess behind afterwards. Have not yet used them for emergency fallen tree jobs yet. But would highly recommend Jersey Tree Care to anyone. read more

I was given an appointment for a Saturday, at noon, no one ever showed up or called me to reschedule. I kept calling the office with no answer. I called Jon the owner and he gave a quote over the phone and rescheduled for Monday. Monday came and went with no response until I contacted him at 330pm recieved a message stating "tonight is on time". That was in the middle of August, til this present time, no one ever showed and still have the same issue. If you want to waste your time call them. read more

Reached out to Jersey Tree Care via yelp since the reviews were so great. I received a message back within the timeframe noted on yelp. I explained our tree issue and sent him our address and phone number. He called me that afternoon and requested authorization to enter our yard to take a look. We discussed the work and he prepared the quote while I was on the phone. I was very impressed with his ability to create and send a quote while onsite. He said he received a cancellation for tomorrow and if we wanted him to do it, he could. We of course signed up since we had some work to do once the tree was down. Due to the storms, we still had another week to wait for another contractor. The team showed up around 2pm, protected the driveway and grass and pulled the crane right up. The guys worked non stop, were very cautious of our and our neighbors property. They were cleaned up and out of here by 6pm (I think!). The wood was left for the wood guy to pick up which he did a couple days after. The last thing is the stump to grind and take away, but we were delayed due to weather. read more

I found them to be totally unreliable and unprofessional. I awarded them a job over 8 weeks ago and have met nothing but excuses and broken promises as to why the work was not done. I would not recommend this vendor to any other manager or management company in the State of New Jersey. read more

I met with Marc nice guy and Marc was there right on time and kept his word，fair price it's nice to do business with you Marc ,see you soon

Kevin and his team did a great job. Responded immediately to my call, came within 10 minutes actually - in the middle of the second noreaster in two weeks. We were lucky they were working just up the road, but they made time to get a 30 foot tree out from blocking my driveway, and clear the damaged trees underneath right away. Prices were great, responsiveness awesome, team was hardworking and very capable. I would recommend them again in a heartbeat. read more

I never write bad reviews. If i have a problem with a service or company I try to reach out to them. But the problem wasnt fixed and now I have to resort to this..... If low price is what your going for use them. If quality and professionalism is what you want, and if you want the job completed dont use them. I had made the mistake of hiring them. I knew it was to good to be true. I was quoted the cheapest price by them and got the cheapest work. My job was a pretty big job, i had two big oak trees removed in the backyard and one huge oak pruned back from the house. After removing the oak trees in the backyard they were supposed to completely remove the stump. I was told that it would just be a pile of woodchips/mulch to use throughout the yard. Ok fine with that. But no after removing the pile of mulch i see there is still alot of stump left and it wasnt completely gone. After contacting them and sending them pictures, i was told that it was not there job to completely remove the stump that i needed to hire an excavator to get it removed. Isnt tree/stump removal part of what they do? I guess not. During the quote, when were were surveying the property, i showed him 3 other stumps that needed to be taken out and he said yea no problem well just throw it in for you. Still there, would have taken them an extra 20 minutes to use the grinder on them. When they were working on my property, they messed up my fence, they needed to take a section out for the equipment, but they took an entire post out and when they were done they said it would be put back the way it was. False, i had to have my fence guy come back and had to repair it for $300. Still waiting for them to make this right and come back and finish the job. I guess i can keep on dreaming because that will never happen. Needless to say, wont be using them again until they finish the first job. read more

I called Jersey Tree Care on a Wednesday morning. The gentleman who I spoke with said he will get over to me in the late afternoon for an estimate. Late afternoon came and no one showed. No courtesy phone call to give me the head's up no one was coming. The next morning, my wife was working from home and Jersey Tree Care showed up unannounced. We were given a very fair price and promised they would come the following day. The following day came and no one showed. No phone call. I called to ask where they were and the man said they had an emergency but they would be there the next morning. Morning shows up but Jersey Tree Care does not. I call around noon to see what's going on. The man said there was another emergency and they would be there in the afternoon. Afternoon rolls around and nothing. I call again from the same phone I have been using. No one picks up. I call back on my wife's phone. Someone answered and again, another emergency. I was assured that I would be first priority Monday morning. The only reason I accepted this was due to the price. Monday morning rolls around and I go to work. I come back from work and guess what? My tree is still not trimmed. No phone call. No text message. No e-mail. No smoke signals. Well, you get the point. I call them up and tell them don't bother to come. I really did not know what to make with all these emergencies because the weather was very pleasant; no rain, no snow, no wind, no earthquakes, no volcanic explosions....just sun. I'll take some blame here for sticking with them for the several times they no showed. Again, the price was very fair so I didn't ax them until the 5th no show. read more

I had a pretty pleasant experience with this company. They were very prompt with responding and getting me my estimate quickly. Job was scheduled and they actually ended up coming a week before scheduled date. John was very easy to communicate with and the guys were great at getting all the trees down especially because they were hard to get to. Even when they missed a couple stumps they didnt give me a problem about coming back to take care of them. I would recommend them! read more

We were looking for more sunlight for our new home but found darkness. Unprofessional is a compliment, just look at Kevin's responses to these honest real reviews. Kevin is a professional liar, manipulator. Never furnished an insurance certificate, just showed up cutting "we were in the area", without a crane and stump grinder, which was quoted. Left craters in my new lawn by dropping the trees from the sky and dragging into the chipper, my landscaper had to deliver a dump truck of soil to level property and reseed. Bounced and scraped branches on my new house. Damaged my neighbors lawn by driving over it. Men were asking for water...would you like lemons with your water? Urinating on my fence. My son was strong armed (we were on holiday) for cash payment before they could grind the stumps to complete the job all while this was never scheduled! One star is for their competitive pricing, which ended up costing more than our highest estimate after repairs. Update: Do you see the response, the manipulation!? My son is not a kid. Cash was the negotiated form of payment, which should have been the first red flag. DO NOT HIRE! read more

Great company and willing to go that extra mile. It's unfortunate that most reviews are posted by unhappy clients. If all clients reviewed there would be many many more 5 star reviews. Thank You Toni and K. After asking all local tree service companies if they can do a free service to help a very unfortunate family Kevin agreed to help. He came by the filling day and then proceeded to give me a 1600$ quote. I thought my message was obvious but ............ read more

So i hired Kevin and his team to cut some trees down. I would not recommend him. His team is unprofessional. They acted like they owned the place and drove their machines on surfaces not made to handle that weight and equipment. He actually damaged my front walkway, and has not made me whole. He keeps dodging my texts and never returns calls - why would he, he got paid. During the process of cutting the tree, they actually damaged some of my neighboring arborvitae trees. He promised he would be careful and tie it back to avoid damages, that didn't happen. After the job was done, I had to inspect things, and they left me tons to cleanup after the mess they made. I asked them to clean some of the heavy items, and his workers were not happy. They just insisted I pay them already, and then he counted the money in front of me, like a drug dealer. Bottom line is these guys can't be trusted to perform on a professional manner and treat its customers with respect. I have given Kevin more than 5 months to make me whole on the damages, and sent over 20 texts. His word is worthless. I should have read the other reviews before I hired and paid him. Find a better professional. They are out there. read more

Jersey Tree Care had the fastest response time and was able to remove dead tree branches above my house (shown in picture) within the 24 hours. They are very reliable and does great work. Now I can live without fear that a big branch falls on my roof. Great job, guys! Thank you so much. read more

So professional. Trees were very close to the house & deck. Their communication with each other was superb. I would have given them 5 stars but they did not want to take the lower suckers off the tree. They said it was not necessary. I'm sure they know better than me. read more

Bad service. The sales pitch included all the branches along my fence and they only cut the lower branches because the others were too high. They demanded half of the money claiming they did half of the job. That defeated the purpose of contracting them because I still get all the leaves and branches from the trees. I wanted to give 0 rating but at least Kevin called in a timely manner. He came out to our home to give a quote, sent a quote via email, but then never showed up to do the work. Hence the 1 star which should be a zero. Four appointments were made and he NEVER called us to cancel after we move our schedules around to accommodate him with the non-existent appointments. We needed cabling done to 8 trees. It has been the most frustrating experience dealing with a non professional. We instead called another tree service and they came the next day and did a fabulous job not only on our property but had to use our neighbors property for the cabling. They cleaned and left their property pristine. read more

We used Jersey Tree Care service last week and they were awesome! John was our contact person -he was prompt, professional and answered my calls right away. He explained the work and what he would need to do and answered my questions . He gave us an estimate and stuck by it. Really nice guy to work with . Eddie and the crew did a great job as well. They worked through the day and then cleaned up any debris generated by the job. Would recommend this company and in fact have passed on their details to friends and neighbors. Ann R. read more

New Jersey Tree Care is a rare company with a lot of integrity thanks to the owner Kevin. I hired them to grind a huge stump in my yard. They had to grind the stump 3 feet below surface because I was putting in 2 very large Arborvitaes trees. I didn't realize they only went about 1 and 1/2 feet down on their first attempt which is the industry standard. When I called Kevin and explained the problem, his stump grind was in the shop. So he contracted an outside guy to come back grind the stump deeper into the ground so we could put in the trees. I can see why he gets a lot of business and is usually very busy. Forgot to mention that he also gave me a GREAT PRICE on the stump removal! Thank you Kevin and New Jersey Tree Care! read more

As many others have alluded to professionalism goes out the window after paid. He simply doesn't stand behind his work.

a crook and scam artist. he did take the trees out, then took our cash (over $1000) and never finished the job. give him credit for creativity though as he has loads of various excuses for not finishing. do not use!!!!! read more

I've never written a yelp review but I am now because I don't want anyone else going through the same hell I've been through with Jersey Tree Care. We hired them to cut down a tree and they parked their equipment in our driveway. When they were done we noticed that their equipment was defective and splattered a gallon of oil through out our brand new $8k driveway. When I would call Kevin he would swear at me and tell me to shut up. He promised 6 different times that he would clean the driveway and never showed up. He also refused to pay for resealing our driveway. Do not hire this company!!!!!! read more

I tried 3 different tree service companies before calling Jersey Tree. The companies prior were either no call back or no-shows for the work. After reaching out to Jersey Tree, Chris responded to my Yelp request within 15 minutes. After a quick call, he came by for a same day survey and proposal. Less than a week later, the work I had been trying to get done in my yard for the last few months, was finally done. Management and staff were both very professional throughout the entire process. Highly recommended to anyone in the NJ area. read more

I am a realtor, and I recommended Jersey Tree Care to my client. We made an original appointment with this tree service company, and they were not able to complete the job fully on the first attempt. We tried to reschedule an appointment 5 separate times, and a representative did not show up to the appointment 5 separate times. I lost this listing because I recommended this extremely unprofessional company. read more

We had a huge tree fall in our yard on a Saturday night. I emailed Jersey Tree Care as well as other tree companies and heard back from Jersey Tree Care within the hour. The next day they assessed the damage and we got our quote. By Monday afternoon the huge Oak was removed completely. Major kudos to Kevin, Chris and the crew. They are a well oiled machine. You will not be sorry getting work done by Jersey Tree Care. They are top notch. read more

I'm giving Jersey Tree Care two stars for their acting ability, ( I really believed him when he kept rescheduling) I can't rate their work because they do not show up when they say they will, nor do they contact to cancel. I will say Kevin was very professional on his first and only visit when he gave me an estimate and I was happy with his price. But they just couldn't keep any appt. and when you call Kevin his response is "we had an emergency" and I get that, people have emergencies but come on I'd been trying for close to a month and a half to get the work done. So after at least 4 appt. times being cancelled (probably more, I really didn't keep track) (cancelled because of no shows, not because anyone actually called or texted to cancel) I gave up and called BJ's Tree Service (973) 391-5728 who arrived as scheduled, and did a fantastic job. read more

Let me start by saying...the actual work that the crew did was wonderful! The crew that came were quick, knowledgeable and professional. They left my yard looking better then it did before. I was amazed at their level of skill. On the other hand- the amount of follow ups that I had to make was unreal. I received by quote on 5/15/18 and approved it a few days later. An appointment was set for 5/31/18 at 10 AM. No show, no call. Finally got Kevin on the phone and there was an issue with another job. Said they would be there later that day. Later came and again no show and no call. We set 2 additional appointments and the same thing occurred. No call and no show. Mailbox was always full so it was difficult to get in touch. When they finally came to complete the job, they were unable to remove the stump. We agreed that it would be done that weekend. No show and no call. I followed up 2 more times regarding the stump and it was finally completed. Payment was just settled today...almost 2 months from initial quote. I am understanding that in this line of work things to come up and appointments may need to be adjusted. However, there needs to be clear communication with the paying client, and unfortunately that didn't happen. I would love to use this company again based on the actual work that the crew completed, but unfortunately I would not. This is due to the total lack of communication with me and the aggravation that it caused for me to complete constant follow ups. read more

I made an appointment a week in advance, he confirmed the appointment and I even received an automated text message for the appointment, I took the day off to be at home when he arrives and he didn't show up, didn't call and just ditched the appointment outright. I sent Jersey Tree Care a message on Yelp and received a reply in a timely manner requesting I call Kevin. We scheduled an estimate appointment the same day. Kevin was early, very nice and knowledgeable. Did a great job schooling me on tree related information like basic tree maintenance vs knowing when to remove it. He emailed me an estimate before he left my house. It was a pleasant experience getting this estimate. I've had experience with businesses not calling back, showing up late, if at all, and doing shoddy work, but Kevin was very professional. read more

My Story with Jersey Tree is a lot like Marcus V's, it's even quite comical how exact it is. My neighbor's tree was leaning over on my proper jeopardizing my new fence and shed. The tree was in the ground but uprooting to the point where it was crushing a privacy bush and leaning on my shed. When I spoke to my neighbor, he stated he had used Kevin's company in the past and was reasonable and professional. So from my POV, it's a win, win. Monday March 12th came around and Kevin did a quote that was pretty reasonable, Kevin also stated that he would do the job the next day in the afternoon. The next day came and unfortunately Jersey Tree Care did not show and did not call to say they would not come. I called them and texted Kevin, only to get a response via text that there was another emergency that trumped our appointment. I was a bit annoyed at first as he was adamant that he could get it done next day "no problems". I brushed it off as he stated he could get to it by Thursday. Well, Thursday came and went but no response. I called Kevin, no answer. My neighbor called Kevin, no answer. We had to call him from a phone that he did not recognize the number only for him to state we were pushed out again due to an emergency. He also added that my tree was not dangerous and that no one would get hurt, that just the shed and fence were not a priority. To me, I find it quite funny he said that, cause he was so quick to come by and set a date without a blink of an eye. I can understand that there are people that need service, but then say that. Don't promise a date and then never call me to say I'm being moved out. The lack of communication and lack of customer service is the worse I have seen. It's purely a fact that the jobs that are "emergencies" are more money to do. So more cash in his pocket. Hey, it's a business but just tell me that up front. The last straw came on Friday March 23rd, when he said he will definitely come by at 11:30am to do the work. This of course came from him answering my call when I used a different number. He ignored all my texts, calls, and even my neighbors number. Friday came and 11:30am was creeping near, so I decided to call him to confirm he was coming by. I called, he answered (shocking), but stated he was not coming by due to a urgent emergency. Tree on a house type of emergency, he explained. I mean come on. He had a real attitude on the phone too, which considering how he acted with ducking calls telling me my property isn't a real concern if it fell, and moving my appointment every time, you would think he would be a little bit more humble. Nope. After that, I just called someone else and said his services were no longer needed. Funny thing, the new company I got was cheaper and are currently performing the job. Based on the reviews here, I can see that people that had services when I was supposed to (same time based on posts), so it's either a price thing or that he knows them. Nonetheless, if he handled things more professionally I wouldn't care. Hey, emergencies happen, but then just say that up front. Don't tell me you are coming and never call me. Considering I stayed home from work to be here for them is a bit absurd and he could of cared less for any of that. I hope this review helps others looking for tree services to either avoid him unless there is a tree laying on top of your body, he will prob make an exception, but don't expect a call if he isn't coming. Ps....I have a quote from him in my neighbors name, just incase he says he never heard of me or provided a quote, plus I have texts from this guy to back up my statements. Thanks read more

Price was reasonable did the job in a timely manner. My complaint is that they left my yard a mess. Where the trees came down there were sizeable holes and the grass was torn up in a lot of spots. I had talked to the owner about them keeping the yard in good shape and was assured they would. After the job he said he would drop off some grass seed. He didn't even do that. My advice. Spend some extra money and get the job done right. It's not just about cutting a tree down. read more

Quick and efficient service, and a clean worksite afterwards...highly recommended.

Excellent service. Expert tree Arborists. Cleaned up well. Good communication. I had a request to have the tree removed asap because we had an appointment to open the pool and wanted the tree gone before that appointment. Jersey Tree Care did their very best to fit us in the schedule. John and Alisa was very nice. Pleasure to work with and the price was more than fair. Significantly less than any other quote we had received. They worked very quickly with the town to get the necessary approvals. I would definitely recommend. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the head worker was a bit cocky on the job, but hey employees are allowed to have a bad day so I won't hold it against the company. He was extremely meticulous and knowledgeable about his job. read more
