We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was friendly and obviously very overworked. Only 3 people were working on this fairly busy Friday night. The owner/cook and 2 waiters (who also seat, pack to go, bus, expedite, etc.). I did notice an odd smell (like urine) but no one else seemed bothered. The burrata appetizer was good and presented well. Next up the entrees. We had veal Marsala which was average and chicken piccata. The chicken piccata tasted baked not fried (strange) but the sauce was good and gf pasta was great! Lastly, the dessert... tiramisu. The waiter said it was homemade and highly recommended. It was very cold from the refrigerator but otherwise was fine. I had high hopes coming in but I'd give an average overall rating.

The restaurant was pretty busy, but they did have adequate staff available so we were offered drinks right away. The bread that was brought out was very small pillow like rectangular pieces with some olive oil and balsamic to dip in. It was cold and not very impressive. We shared a burrata and it came with four slices of tomatoes and two balls of burrata drizzled with balsamic over some romaine lettuce. It was a nice start to the meal. I had the chicken marsala and my aunt had the chicken parmesan. The portion size was adequate and her pasta and veal had a lot of red sauce on it. The marsala sauce was a bit thin, and I would've liked more on my pasta. We each had a glass of wine which was served quickly and complemented the meal nicely. The server was attentive and the food was hot. Overall, it was a good, not great experience.

Turned Around Reviewer and Family…read more As promised, we have again visited Ralphie's Pizza. Again, it was early afternoon on a Thursday around 2:15 PM. True to his word from his reply to our first review Joel (Owner), gave us a free Pizza, and I bought one as well. Both pizza's I am very happy to report were very tasty and delicious which we all enjoyed right down to the fresh basil they added, at our request to both of our extra large cheese pizzas. We all feel we can highly recommend dining in at Ralphie's very roomie and comfortable restaurant or taking out their pizza's as it was a very pleasant experience. So take your Brother Tom, your Sister Sue, your clairvoyant Aunt Ruby, who can tell you how delicious your pizza will be before you get there and you know, how much she enjoys saying "I told you so", but go, and enjoy one of our "Low Country's" best pizza offerings. That's right, this is a turned around reviewer and Family! Visit Ralphie's Pizza at 61 Rivet Walk BLVD in Okatie, or Ridgeland, SC (to be clear, the same place. But why should I be responsible for figuring out the right town location, when YELP, can't) because you will enjoy their pizza. And for those of you with a parsimonious nature calculating that the free Pizza made us change our minds, I would remind you that we threw out four pieces of pizza from one pizza, and four pieces from the second pizza in our first review. While it was very generous of Ralphie's Owner Joel, to make good on his offer which we all appreciated, it in no way influenced our second review. You see 1-1+1=2 which is what we paid for the first time. Visit and enjoy their pizza as it could become Pizza Central for you and your Family. Enjoy!

You can really taste the quality of the fresh ingredients used throughout each dish, which made the meal stand out. We started with the Arancini, and they were fantastic! Crispy and golden on the outside with a delicious, savory, cheesy center. Served over a flavorful tomato sauce and finished with Parmesan and fresh basil, they were the perfect start to the meal. The Chicken Parmesan was another standout. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and topped with flavorful marinara and a generous layer of melted cheese. The pasta and fresh tomato sauce complemented it perfectly, making this a hearty and satisfying dish. The Fettuccine Alfredo was rich, creamy, and incredibly comforting. The sauce was smooth and flavorful, the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the Parmesan and fresh basil added the perfect finishing touch. What really impressed us was the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Everything tasted homemade, fresh, and carefully prepared rather than mass-produced. Overall, Pomodori exceeded our expectations. Every dish we tried was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. If you're visiting Hilton Head Island and looking for excellent Italian food made with quality ingredients, Pomodori is definitely worth a visit!

The restaurant has photos of Chef making the pasta & is light & bright. Always pleasant to go too. We split our time between HHI & Midwest & always manage to go at least 2xs per visit. Overall, the dishes were good except the spaghetti itself. It tasted chewy and gummy. The spaghetti texture is what ruined the two dishes (the veal dish & kid-sized meal). Our kid disliked the spaghetti and normally that's their favorite never-fail dish. The veal dish would've tasted more cohesive if the spaghetti texture was al dente as opposed to the gummy chewy texture. The halibut dish was delicious so no note on that. And so was the stuffed ravioli. Other than that, the restaurant ambience was nice and has an intimate settings throughout. The staff were friendly except that they could've refilled my ice tea sooner. I had to ask for a refill even though they had stopped by our table twice before that to check on us. We'd probably come back again next time we visit Hilton Heads but won't get anything with the spaghetti in it.
