It's a cool little place and well decorated. The service was good and the only reason I gave it two stars. The sandwich I had was ok at best. For the size and portion of it, it's WAY over priced. All of their menu is overpriced. The price I paid for the sandwich should have included the fries. Nope it an Up charge!!! I about died how much the up charge was for just the side of fries. 5-1-24 4:00PM Came here as a new neighbor said they had good pizza. This is a small place actually hard to see from road to find it. Once we arrive we go in and advised to take a seat anywhere. Hubby and I get a booth and order sodas. We hadn't eaten all day so I ordered a Cheese Calzone. Once it arrived I was surprised as it didn't look like ones I ordered elsewhere. It almost appeared manufactured and not made on premises fresh. Sauce that came with it wasn't great definitely straight from the can. Only could eat half as I was hungry. Haven't ordered from Sunset in awhile, but it was time for some carry-out pizza. Ordered the Sunset Supreme and it was very good. It is a thin crust pizza. Unfortunately, I also ordered the Greek Salad... this was not what you expect. Advertised as containing feta cheese and banana peppers, neither of which were in the salad. We got delivery the other day and Sunset did the pizza trick better then those famous delivery name brands. While it was not the best pizza it certainly was far from the worst. And truth be told I am a bit of a pizza snob. The whole pie we ordered was a nice size for two, with plenty of toppings (half cheese half supreme). I liked the crusty was doughy, which I actually liked about it, though it was slightly undercooked. If I was energetic I would have slapped it into the oven on my pizza stone to crisp it up more. The white horse slice I ordered to try that variation out was the hit to me, nicely cooked, probably because it was a large slice and needed to be reheated, with a savory garlic sauce. I will probably be ordering that one again. The cheese fries were a molten overcooked mess that had to be dug st with a fork to be eaten, not good. The salad was a salad, fresh but far from overwhelming. They deliver so will certainly be in the rotation, at least for now, just may be ask for well done. read more

Rumor - checked Yelp for Sunset as we like their pizza. It showed CLOSED Las in permanently. Hubby suggested 'why don't you drive by?' I did and guess what they are very much in business! Ordered my pizza and then had a beer at the bar. Pizza came out fast. It could have been in the oven a little longer. Cheese was not even slightly browned. I also ordered a small Greek salad...not sure this was a small, they may have charged me and given mea large salad. Portion was very big. I would not call this a Greek salad...no cucumber, no feta and it had jalapeños in it! Very strange. On Monday, my husband ordered a supreme pizza, calamari, 2 orders of wings with fries, and 3 orders of fish tacos for our family. The dough on the pizza was soggy and under cooked, there was little (if any) sauce or cheese, hardly any meats and covered in chunks of onions and black olives. The wings were hard and dried out with a layer of sauce on top that was microwaved or air fried to a crisp. The calamari were salty rubber bands on top of a wilted brown piece of lettuce that came with some type of sauce. The tacos came with an over fried salty slice of fish covered with soggy diced tomatoes and brown wilted shreds of lettuce, no tartar sauce or cheese to be found! Horrible eating experience, you'd be better off getting a frozen pizza from the store and save $108.00. To top it all off, they were rude over the phone, so I should have canceled the order to start with. DO NOT EAT HERE! read more

Hubs & I finally got around to trying Sunset Pizza after hearing lots of good things about it. We ordered a take out hand tossed plain cheese pizza. I really loved the sauce & thought they had a good amount of cheese. The crust was pretty good too but maybe not my 100% favorite. Just a little thicker & chewier than my typical fav. But I was impressed with the super friendly staff and fast service. I also thought they were taking very good COVID precautions. Bottom line: I was very happy with the pizza & take out service. However since it's a bit outside of our bubble, it probably won't be our #1 go-to place. But it is definitely worth checking out if you are nearby. read more
