I stopped into Flatbread Grill for dinner on a Saturday night over Memorial Day weekend, and even with the holiday crowd, we were seated immediately with no wait -- a great start to the evening. I ordered pizza along with my son, and while the flavor was very good, the crust leaned a bit on the limp side. Still enjoyable, just not as crisp as I prefer. Service was friendly overall, though our waitress mentioned she hadn't tried anything on the menu when we asked for recommendations, which was a little surprising. The atmosphere is really what makes this place shine. It's in a great location, perfect for relaxing after a beach day, and the live music added a fun, upbeat vibe. It's also a solid spot for watching sports, with plenty of screens and a lively crowd. A couple of the TVs were off or not working during our visit, but we were able to see the game we were looking for. Wait for food took forever, all the food came out and all the plates were really hot, food was dry. Not sure if it was just the day but the air conditioning was not turned on and it was extremely sticky and hot. Waitress was sweet however the food wasnt the best and having to sit there was uncomfortable. We stomped on this place on the way back to our hotel and it's The worst restaurant ever. Everything takes forever . Plenty of tables but we wait over an hour to be seated. Once sit down still take forever for our service. Same with drinks... take forever to get simple margarita with no salt but tastes like salt water with bad can of lime juice and frozen blueberry twist supposedly with blueberry purée but came with overwhelming blueberry syrup. Ordered everything to come out together but only get bang bang shrimp first with another 20 minutes wait for the rest. We also ordered angus burger and lobster + shrimp pasta that cost $27 with 2 piece of a thumb size of lobster and rubbery 5 piece of shrimp . Alfredo sauce is a watery soup like and tastes nothing like Alfredo. Don't waste your time here. Walk across the street you might be able to find something better. This is a review of the Bluffton location. I had the chicken avocado wrap. One wedge of avocado and the chicken was beyond cooked. Not burnt but hockey puck rubbery. My hubby had a summer salad with chicken and his was burnt in some of the pieces. He also had a margarita personal pizza and the crust was black from burning. I observed that the table behind us also had burnt pizza crust. Clearly they want things to be done well. The Calamari app was average with a really weak tomato sauce, more like tomato soup. When we went to pay we were hit with a credit card charge of 3.5 % that was supposed to be returned if you paid by cash. We paid cash and then had to hunt down the server to get the refund of the credit card charge. There had been no mention of the charge and if you don't read your bill carefully, you will miss it! Location is right at Coligny Beach. Outside patio (dog friendly) is completely shaded with fans to keep us cool with a view of passing beach goers for entertainment. Food is fresh & tasty. Our waiter, was attentive to my food allergy. Grouper is fresh. Atmosphere is laid back. Prices are very reasonable. Other patrons mentioned the pizza was excellent! I really want to like this place. Everyone working there was nice and polite but the food was very underwhelming. My daughter ordered the kids cheese pizza and as soon as it came out I regretted ordering my pizza. They have a huge wood burning pizza oven that looks amazing. But they don't seem to cook the pizza long enough. It comes out soft and doughy. I had the blue steak pizza and it was just undercooked. I think 3 more minutes in the oven and it could be really good. My son had pasta with red sauce and said it was too watered down. He usually never complains about pasta. The place looks cool, has 2 bars and an open vibe. I think if they work on the food this place could be great but there are definitely better options within walking distance. read more

Quickest meal I have ever had! Literally sat down, ordered, and got my order all within 20 minutes... and it was delicious! A casual spot for a 'quick meal' right in the popular spot of town. We went at 8:00 pm when I thought it would be busy, and again the service was so fast and efficient I was so pleasantly surprised! My DH and I decided to come over to the Coligny Beach area for dinner so we chose Flatbreads. This area is very beach casual and touristy so keep that in mind. It wasn't crowded for Labor Day weekend and we chose to be seated on the patio. The many outdoor fans kept us pleasantly comfortable. Our server was courteous and prompt. We ordered a few drinks (that came right out) and a pizza to split. The pizza was very thin crust (which is not a negative) and a solid 4. We arrived just before happy hour ended which was great because by 6:30pm there was a line to be seated. Just know that the attire is very beach causal and could be offensive to some with small children (we are not prudes but I'm trying to have a meal here). Overall, there are so many restaurants on HHI that it's challenging just to pick 1 a night. There are many pizza alternatives if you want a less causal restaurant. read more

We had trouble finding another restaurant from a Pinterest recommendation and it was hot and we were both getting Hangry, so we walked into the first restaurant we saw which happened to be Flatbreads! Service: our server (Diedra?) was very kind and attentive! We actually got our waters with our drinks which almost never happens. Drinks: we got a hurricane and a mojito - both a little too sweet and didn't taste much alcohol Food: Buffalo chicken dip was good! Not a huge portion, but was cheesy and tasty! We met friends for our first visit to Flatbread Grill in May River (Bluffton) last evening. (4/14) EXCELLENT all the way around, even the weather cooperated, so we sat on the beautiful porch. Since everything worthwhile begins with people let me say that the entire staff was welcoming, warm, personable, and professional and we offer special praise to Alec and Kim; they are delightful. FOOD & DRINK - oh yeah; more excellence. The four of us had different dishes, and each raved about the food. Since it was Happy Hour (4-6) the guys enjoyed Margareta Monday with 3 different flavors and they were terrific, the girls enjoyed the wine offerings. VALUE - in a word wow! Everyone is concerned about rising prices, well Flatbread has taken on that challenge and succeeded, and Happy Hour and the Daily Specials are unbeatable. We will return - soon and often. We had dinner here while visiting the area. We saw the happy hour specials and thought we will have a few drinks /apps then order dinner. The place was not busy when we arrived. We ordered our drinks 2 beers and 2 margaritas (which was the special of the day). Those took over 30 mins to get to our table. We had gotten an appetizer during that time and finished and still no drinks. I have no clue what was taking so long. We then ordered dinner and had planned to get more drinks but we didn't have the chance to. We eventually asked for waters from a random employee and those never came. The food was fine I think the service made our experience worse. Had our drinks and service been better our food may have been better. Dinner took well over 2 plus hours....again we only got 1 drink each during that time. My advice is plan to dine awhile Or skip this place all together. read more

Read the menu for this place while getting some ice cream after the beach and immediately made plan to eat here for dinner. Tons of great options for anyone, even little picky eaters. I would suggest on getting a reservation online through Opentable, we were not able to since they had a large group who booked before us but luckily they were able to seat us right away in person before the crowd. We got lucky and had the huge round table for our party of 5, but it was right next to the food line and the food warmer was cooking us like a sauna. Service was great and everything turned out perfect. Some of the pictures have less portions than what came since my family started devouring the food before I could snap the photos. I personally had the shrimp poboy and it was absolutely delicious with the sweet and spicy sauce the shrimp was coated in! Wow, we pass this place all of the time and never bothered to stop because we thought it was just a few tables outside. This is a full restaurant and bar. We were greeted and seated quickly. Someone to our drink order right after we sat down. We ordered the bone in wings; mozzarella sticks and nachos. All three were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We will definitely recommend this establishment to family and friends. We visit HH often and usually stay in the Forest Beach area. Can't believe we have missed out of this great place for so long. This maybe our new favorite place close by to get excellent food. Staff was friendly and professional. Next time I will remember to take some pictures for my review. read more

We came because Ben Lewis was playing here tonight. When we arrived there was no wait for an outside table to listen to the live music playing. The server recommended lobster macaroni and crab cakes so my husband and I ordered those. The kids ordered cheese pizza and ate a little of my macaroni. The crab cakes were delicious and full of crab and some other peppers and joy in my face. I thought about going with the lobster macaroni but at least I got to try it... and try it again. I may have eaten a little more of my husband's dish than I should have but it was so good. I shared my macaroni with my kids and later we walked down to get ice cream from the ice cream shop. Overall, the service was quick (possibly due to coronavirus since not as many people were there or could be seated), every one was nice, the food was tasty and the live music can't be beat. read more

This is a review of the new Bluffton location. Went there mid afternoon and the place was virtually empty. First disappointment, I ordered a glass of their house Cabernet...sorry, out of stock and no offer to replace the order with a premium wine at the same price. Really?...out of stock? Bill's Liquor Store is like three store fronts away!!! My wife ordered the chicken avocado wrap and she swears there was absolutely no avocado in it. I ordered the fried grouper sandwich that was advertised as being on a toasted hoagie roll. The fish arrived crispy on the outside...almost raw on the inside. To me that says it was frozen. It also came on an elementary school cafeteria hamburger roll that was right out of the bag. Not even toasted. The sandwich fell apart before my first bite. When the very inexperienced server delivered the bill, it had a built in credit card fee even though he never even asked if we were paying by cash or credit. Not going back anytime soon! read more
