Pizza was cooked well, had a lot of things on top and the sauce was good. Crust folded just right and a little grease dripped. Place was not too busy and our pizza was ready quickly. The restaurant is set up like a nice neighborhood bar with the bar on one side and pizza mostly the other. We are new to this local area not to the South, and this is the best pizza we have found. Turned Around Reviewer and Family As promised, we have again visited Ralphie's Pizza. Again, it was early afternoon on a Thursday around 2:15 PM. True to his word from his reply to our first review Joel (Owner), gave us a free Pizza, and I bought one as well. Both pizza's I am very happy to report were very tasty and delicious which we all enjoyed right down to the fresh basil they added, at our request to both of our extra large cheese pizzas. We all feel we can highly recommend dining in at Ralphie's very roomie and comfortable restaurant or taking out their pizza's as it was a very pleasant experience. Ordered takeout for dinner tonight and made it very clear when placing the order that I have a dairy allergy. I specifically asked for it to be noted and for there to be no cheese on anything. I also added the $4 meat option to the pasta entrée (which turned out to be two pretty small meatballs..for a dinner pasta portion). When I got home and opened the food, the salad was completely covered in cheese. I understand that mistakes happen, but food allergies aren't a preference or a picky request. When someone takes the time to say they have an allergy, it's because it actually matters for their health. It was disappointing to see it ignored, because something that seems small, like cheese on a salad, can be a real problem for someone with an allergy. read more

Just got a pie to go and it is amazing! Just the fact that they will put eggplant on a pizza got me excited! The crust is perfect, the cheese is spread out nicely, and the toppings are evenly put on. I haven't had a pizza this good in years. I went from being a New Englander, to living in CO for 20, years, and SC for the last 2. This is the real deal! I am injured so I am not able to go out for now, but I look forward in the future to trying other amazing menu items (and of course another Eggplant topped pizza). We have been here about a half dozen times. It is a combination pizza place, restaurant, and sports bar. Lots of tv's so you get to see all of your sports favorites. The pizza is always great. Best in South Carolina so far by my standards. I usually get a sausage pie the sausage they use is flavorful and plentiful. On my most recent visit, we got the calamari, it was very good and a calzone. The calzones are a meal in themselves, stuffed full of cheeses and meat. My wife always gets the gluten-free cauliflower crust pizza and says it is one of the best she has had. Service is good and they check regularly to see if your drinks need refilling. read more

Finally a great pizza place in this town ! We arrived at 4:15 and the place was slammed . They opened at 4:00. So far a good sign . We ordered Boneless buffalo wings and the White pizza , added peperoni. This place is legit ! The pizza was excellent , full of flavor a delicious crust . We tried Ralphie's for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and were disappointed. The country music on their PA system was deafeningly loud. I asked the waitress if they could turn it down a notch or two and she promptly forgot. When reminded, she finally did it but within minutes it was back to an eardrum-splitting level. Having a conversation with my wife across the table from me required shouting and a lot of "what did you say?" We ordered something simple: Their base pie with pepperoni. There seemed to be no logic or reason as to who got served and when. People who came in after us had their meal and paid before our pizza came out; it took 35 minutes. Meanwhile, the pizza hadn't yet arrived for a party next to us who were already seated and drinking beverages when we got there. The pizza arrived luke warm; not the bubbling topped pizza we're used to getting when eating in the shop. It was if it had been delivered from another place. It was also barely cut. When the waitress stopped by, she saw us struggling to get the pieces apart. I told her that we were having difficulty and she said "huh" as if it were interesting and walked away. The crust was spongy and the taste bland. There was no stringy strands of cheese when we finally get them slices apart. The taste wasn't bad, but it's not New York pizza by any means. And most importantly, not the treat we expect when we eat in at the pizza shop. If we had it delivered, we would at least have had the tools to separate the slices. FYI: The bill for a pizza with one topping and two draft beers: $45. They do have a full bar and a small number of beers on tap. We'll go elsewhere the next time we're in the mood for a pizza -- somewhere where we can have a conversation, where the waitress is attentive, and we. Can get good HOT pizza. read more

TERRIBLE If this place isn't going out of business, it should soon. We ordered 2 pizzas to go. I was told 40 minutes before ready. Got there exactly 40 minutes later. Got them home, 10 minute drive and the pizzas were ice cold. There was hardly any ingredients on them and the crust was cardboard. I'd bet they sat under the heat lamp for 25 minutes. My 2 boys wouldn't eat them, boys, hungry boys wouldn't eat them. Does that tell you how bad they were? They went to Buffalo Wild Wings... The dog didn't mind gnawing at the 1.5" of dry gross crust, nothing on it. Very little cheese, ingredients and sauce. The worse pizza in town! I had heard great things about this pizza place. The first time we tried something different there. Got sandwiches, it took them an hour and the places wasn't even busy. There was only 1 server for the whole place, she was nice, but why wouldn't she be, she was raking it in for the fools eating there. I added extra ingredients & was charged the same amount for onions that I was meat. I already thought the prices were high. Then there was a charge called a delivery fee. (I sat & waited for it). Then it looked like I was taxed 9 1/2 % on the total including the "delivery fee". I know darn well that we don't have 9 1/2 % tax rate around here! Then it didn't even taste like a $20. Calzone. I did have to wait 45 minutes from when I called to pick up my pizza though. Not a problem but you need to account for that during dinner time. Well I went based on reviews . Wait was long , sat at the bar and the bartender was nice . Ordered the pie from the front , I asked is it real pieces of bacon , she said it's real bacon . I asked pieces or chopped up like bacon bits . Said no it's real bacon pieces . Sure enough the pie had bacon that's all crumbled up Sauce is bland , dough chewy and undercooked , crust was a light tan color . I'm from New Haven so I'm use to the best and it continues to be a struggle to find a great apizza down here . I usually always give a place 2 tries , I'm not sure I can here .
