They get my very specific order right and keep the line moving, even during busy times like the lunch rush. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I'm not a fan of Mike's Way. The sandwiches are delicious! The Italian is packed with flavor and always tastes fresh, and the tuna is one of the best around, creamy, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. I do wish they offered a wider variety of vegetable toppings, though. I'm giving it four stars only because seating can be limited, and the shop gets a little crowded during peak hours. Otherwise, no complaints. Great food, great service, I'll definitely be back real soon. Tip: Make sure to use your phone number when you order to start building points to redeem for rewards, they add up quickly! Also, ask for the oil and vinegar on the side, the bread tends to get too soggy with oil/vinegar and the veggies. Once again the site on Hacienda in Vista messes up part of our order. We, as always, were VERY SPECIFIC as to what was wanted and NOT wanted. The young man we dealt with tried to infer we were at fault by showing the order ticket. He was told it was highly unlikely. They proceeded to remake the sandwich, a bit reluctantly. This constant issue is the reason we rarely patronize this site. Hopefully, this doesn't happen at other places. We'll be going back to Philly Frank's despite it being a little inconvenient. Last year, I visited this particular Jersey Mike's on Hacienda Drive in Vista during my 30 minute lunch break. Upon arrival, I was completely ignored by the entire staff. Absolutely NO ONE acknowledged my presence with a "Welcome in!" or a "Hi, we'll be right with you!" or even a "Sorry, we're a little busy right now." Nothing. I stood there watching employees making sandwiches (one worker appeared to have earbuds on, looked at me for a second, and continued to say nothing). Finally, after eight minutes, one of them asked me what I'd like. When I got my food (a chipotle cheesesteak), it was hot, delicious, and prepared correctly. But I now had less than 10 minutes left on my lunch break to wolf down my food. And it still didn't erase the fact that I was completely ignored for a solid 8 minutes before anyone said ANYTHING to me. Mind you, I was the only person in line. I promised myself that I would never return to this location again. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago. My lunch break was approaching and I was near this location. I decided after an entire year of avoiding this particular location, I would give them one more chance to "get it right". Sure enough, I was completely ignored by the entire staff upon entering. Almost looked like the same employees from last year (a male and female, working on sandwiches, assembly line style, the male wearing white earbuds, neither of them making any eye contact with me, both acting like I was invisible). Finally, a male employee with dark chin whiskers asked me what I'd like. I said, "Wow, I was WONDERING when you'd acknowledge me", and gave him my order (another chipotle cheesesteak). I paid, but left zero tip (obviously). Again, the sandwich was hot and delicious. This location's employees are in SERIOUS need of re-training in customer service. All it takes is just a simple "Hello!" or "Welcome! We'll be right with you!" IN A TIMELY MANNER and a FRIENDLY TONE, and things would've been fine. But, since this location OBVIOUSLY doesn't give a s**t about me or my business, I will GLADLY spend my money at other Jersey Mike's locations, where EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM HAS ALWAYS GREETED ME UPON ARRIVAL AND WITH A VERY FRIENDLY TONE!! We've gone to this particular Jersey Mike's location plenty of times since they opened. We went today, mainly to support their "Day Of Giving" yearly event (Wed, March 29, 2023) where the funds this year will go to Rady's Children's Hospital. All the money from the food sales goes to RCH. A designation, I truly can get behind, as our children (now grown) have received care from RCH in the past. Children's Hospitals are truly a special place for children in need of medical attention. RCH really knows how to treat their patients and their parents!! Thank you Jersey Mikes for doing this fundraiser. It is very rare to see a business to be willing to donate all of their sales to a good cause! Moving on now, I will tell you about our experience. We got the #13 The Original Italian with extra tomato, extra onion, and mayo and finished off with Miles's way. Delicious!! We always get a cup of their unsweet Iced Tea. There is also a selection of soda's from the soda machine, but we prefer the tea. We think it is healthier with not so much sugar. I always like Miss Vickies Salt chips with it and love to finish off the meal Tastykakes Butterscotch Krimpets (brings up childhood memories - it is hard to find them on the West Coast). But today, I settled for the free cookie for dessert that was given out by a nice lady representing RCH auxiliary, to thank everyone for participating. I have never had any complaints. Tables are usually very clean and neat unless we come during a rush, then maybe the tables are messy. I have never had a problem getting a staff member to wipe the table down. Another special request we make is we ask for our sub to be wrapped twice, with the slicing of the sub threw the first paper wrapping. It is truly a neater way to eat your sub, and I don't understand why that is not a common practice. Hint Hint!! The ladíes bathroom is very clean. My husband say's the Men's room is clean but not is the best shape. Some Nimrod scratched graffiti into the toilet seat. Overall, we will continue coming to this location. The staff is very hospitable and eager to help. Not everyone on staff understands the extra wrapping of our subs and it requires a lot of explaining, but in the end, they always comply. I don't consider that poor customer service as it goes against their training. This is not a complaint, but I would truly suggest that Jersey Mikes consider offering this service as their subs are pretty full. Without that extra wrap, the ingredients fall out of the sub and makes for messier eating. With the wrap you can enjoy a good bite that includes all of the delicious flavors of a great sub! read more

Jersey Mikes has always been one of my favorite sandwich spots because of the best item on their menu, the Mikes Way Club Sub with everything on it! It's been my go-to meal for years, and at one point on a weekly basis. The Giant portion size, Tuesday rewards program, and high quality sandwich they produce as a whole were all reasons which kept me coming back. As of recently, I've been getting their California Club Sub which is the same thing, but also features avocado. This past week I was humbled a bit, I didn't particularly enjoy noticing the low quality turkey breast used on a California Club Sub I ate. It was very bland and lacked flavor. I honestly think that the turkey breast has always been somewhat bland and that I simply overlooked this truth because I was enjoying the salt & vinegar so much that I didn't take the time and give any attention to the turkey. I may need to branch out and try the rest of their menu for a while until they can bring the turkey breast quality into fruition. The service gets no infractions and is consistently quality, they're professionally casual. Walked in without mask by accident, literally forgot it, so upon being reminded I responded okay and headed for the door to retrieve my mask from the car only to be told "good ridden" in a snarky way. Asked that the bread to extra toasted and they don't have ability to do that unless you wait an extra 10 minutes for it to sit on a warm flat grill. Even after that, it just made the wonder bread style roll dry not toasted. The meat is sliced from a huge block of cheap deli style meat that I'm sure is full on non-healthy additives. The meat and fillings are about 1/4 of what is in all their photos. My sandwich was pretty much flat. I paid $17.50 for the large sub. There are other sub vendors that do a much better job for much less money. The sandwich and chips were over $$21 !! Don't be fooled by the billboard photos. read more

One day I was feeling particularly indecisive and picked a wrap instead of a sandwich.. As it turns out, that wrap just wasn't amazing (to me anyway) there was nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't my flavor. I have no idea how but apparently the manager figured this out and came up to my table and offered to make me something else.. I ordered a regular size sand-which and I could tell that it did not taste fresh I didn't bother eating the other half and trashed it and my son threw his away as well, after 40min or so I had intense cramping and I had to rush to the bathroom, the next few days were not much better and I was in intense pain with N/V/D. I went to the ER to get help because my symptoms were not going away, after tests were done results were from food poisoning - something had been contaminated and I had contracted a food borne illness from this place. Despite the lunchtime rush, service was fast and efficient. I ordered the a 7 inch #17 - Jersey Mike's Famous Philly steak. It was a traditional Philly cheese steak in the sense that the cheese was of the liquid variety - think squirt bottle. The sandwich was loaded with meat and more than enough for one person. Definitely glad I hadn't supersized my order and gone with the 15 inch for only $5 more dollars. The only negative: because everything is made fresh and hot and the Philly is immediately wrapped in aluminum foil, the roll is a little soft.
