The unfortunate thing is they have taken no responsibility for the issue. In fact their store manager did an interview and stated they received a clean review and although some employees were sick it was not during times when they were working. This denial of responsibility is ridiculous. They should have publicly apologized and said they would do better to make sure this never happened again. Big missed opportunity. My husband was satisfied with his cheese steak sub and said his roll was soft and fresh. We would have stayed to eat there, but the tables were all dirty, even though there were no other customers there when we went in, just the 2 employees. The place is order at the counter or online ordering with ample table seating. I stopped by Tostimo's in Portsmouth for takeout recently. I ordered online, a 5-Way Jr. Roast Beef Sandwich ($12 plus tax) and a Greek Chicken Kebab Rice Bowl ($16 plus tax). My number was ready and bagged in about 15 minutes after ordering. The 5-Way Jr. Roast Beef had shaved rare roast beef, James River BBQ sauce, mayo, American cheese slice, horseradish & crispy onion ring on a toasted soft deli roll. Similar tasting to their larger Super Beef, this is what tasty roast beef sandwich should be. The rice bowl was a good portion which had rice pilaf, tender pieces of savoy marinated chicken, lettuce, tomato, onions, feta cheese & creamy Greek dressing, I was only able to finish half of the rice bowl and saved it for lunch. I will have to revisit this location again when pizza and calzones become available.

The sandwich was also beautifully made. Ingredients carefully stacked - just the right amount of honey mustard. The pleasant surprise....the zesty pita chips...sooooo addictive! We hope to be back in this area again soon to try their sandwiches. Again, the inside is very small - get it to go if you aren't able to find a seat. It's worth getting it to go, rather than not getting a sandwich and pita chips.
