I know some of you are uneducated about the quality of a meatball sandwich & that's ok, I'm not judging so do not be offended. To begin... This is a neighborhood place just like back east , nestled in a neighborhood on the corner hidden from the strip mall garbage. When you come here, and you better, do not be distracted by the path to tasty food. It is in an older neighborhood with minimal parking but fantastic personalities, service & FOOD! Upon entry it's a time warp for us who grew up in a time that was better. This is a good Olde Fashion deli that sells great food with amazing service. Franks is a family place. Back to the real topic... Meatball Sandwich; when you ask what is the cheese that use & the owner is educated on quality be states "Provolone on the bottom, Mozzarella on top" just know you're in the right place! The flavor is top notch, added some cherry peppers to spice it up just right, bell peppers & onions are standard. Took it to go, drove about 20 minutes to where I needed to be, the aroma was teasing me, the concern of the sandwich being cold or soggy rang in my mind while driving the 17 to the 10.. I was nervous, anxious & salivating.... Opening the togo container to see the glorious sandwich! The meatballs are still hot, the sauce is holding place & the bread is still bread, not some soggy remnant of dough! Thank you for the pride, quality & tasty sandwich.

There is an array of Sandwiches, entrees, soups , and specials. Same for the bakery. A sweet list of cakes, cookies etc. Parking can be a problem. Not enough spaces to park. I suggest you have your lunch earlier than noon. Tables will be full at that time. Looking forward to trying something different on my next visit.

I had already visited another Italian "grocery & deli" in the area, but it was mostly focused on sandwiches and only carried a very limited selection of deli meats. After striking out there, I started calling around to a few Italian grocers, and DeFalco's immediately stood out. When I called, they confirmed they sold sliced pepperoni, so I made the trip over. One of the first things I noticed was how busy the place was, which is usually a good sign! Despite the crowd, the staff was incredibly friendly and eager to help. When I verified that they had sliced pepperoni available, the employee immediately went into the back and brought out a fresh pound for me. What really surprised me was the price. I've been to other Italian delis where a half-pound of pepperoni cost more than what I paid for a full pound at DeFalco's. The value was outstanding, and the quality was even better. That night, I used the pepperoni on homemade pizzas, and it was absolutely delicious. You can tell you're getting the real deal. Between the friendly service, great prices, and high-quality products, DeFalco's has earned a repeat customer. I'll definitely be coming back for more pepperoni and look forward to exploring everything else they have to offer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic Italian deli experience!

Price and quality did not match…read more I ordered the pastrami sandwich and immediately noticed some cost cutting choices, like butter flavored spray (can we use real butter) US Foods/Chef's Store sourdough bread, (can we use real sourdough bread) and a microwave sitting next to the griddle (which the griddle looks like it has not been cleaned very often). I didn't think much of it at first, but then I watched the owner heat the pastrami in the microwave before assembling the sandwich. I've never had a deli sandwich prepared that way right in front of me, and it was disappointing. She also pulled out a large bag of Taylor Farms shredded lettuce. I asked for no lettuce, and she joked that "people don't want lettuce anymore." Given the recent news surrounding Taylor Farms, that comment didn't exactly inspire confidence. What really surprised me was that the pastrami was placed in a plastic basket and microwaved. Whether or not it's considered safe, seeing food heated that way wasn't very appetizing. Looking around, there also didn't appear to be any real kitchen equipment for preparing hot sandwiches beyond a microwave. A Blackstone griddle or even a quality countertop oven would have inspired much more confidence in the food, especially considering the owner's Yelp responses emphasizing the quality of their sandwiches. From what I experienced, the preparation didn't match those claims. In the end, we ordered just one pastrami sandwich and one beer, and the total came to about $25, with the sandwich alone costing over $17. For that price, I expected much better ingredients and preparation. Unfortunately, the quality didn't match the cost. We tried to be as nice as possible but we left feeling pretty disappointed and couldn't wait to get out of there.

2 year patron at this location-- I started coming here almost daily when I initially got hired at my current occupation. 2 years of tears. 2 years of laughs. 2 years of stress and most importantly; 2 years of absolutely amazing sandwich-craft. The staff really know how to work their way into your heart via the stomach (the good way-- not the cholesterol way). I've been through a whirlwind of life experiences within the past 2 years. I can also confidently say that this location and everyone behind the counter have been dutifully at my side through it all. A nice, hot, steaming, Regular #66 on Rosemary and Parm bread, no peppers, extra onions, extra cheese has been the most effective tool they've used to connect with me and even usher me through my day's current plight. I never tell the staff behind the counter about my problems when we have time to idly chat-- I dont need to-- They always have the right solution for them all, no matter what they happen to involve. It's always a solution catered to me-- designed by me-- and crafted with expert care by them. Some important points of note that weren't touched-on, above: 1. Throughout this 2 year commitment, I have been able to retain the boyish figure I had in my youth. 2. My wallet sighs for relief during lunch time as it gets significantly less financially burdened by the more-than-reasonable cost of a sub and 2 bags of chips.. 3. I dont know that I'd choose eternal bliss when I die if this Jersey Mikes and it's staff weren't there waiting for me with a #66 done just the way I like it. 4. Not only are their sandos out of this world, but the COOKIES are only something that I rarely make visible in the office for fear of office cookie cultists... Everyone in my department knows of the kind of power Jersey Mikes cookies have over a mortal man. This has in-turn, garnered them quite a sizeable following. Hello 9030, It's me--Lou the loophole. All of you do such an exemplary job behind the counter; So much so that I had to create an alternate persona just to tell you about it. Cookies today: warm, fresh, gooey. Verdict? STILL as amazing as the first day I had them 2 years ago. What's even better is that I get a heads up about the cookies when I walk in the store. Definitely saves time at the register. My order: A REGULAR #66 EXTRA CHEESE, EXTRA ONIONS, NO PEPPERS, ON ROSEMARY AND PARM--entrusted to the more-than-capable MJ. The banana-man. One of the only people with whom I entrust the nourishment of my starving pallet. Excellent beyond compare, as always, even WITH the cheese switch. This sandwich god even undertwisted the bag my sandwich was in without me asking; ensuring my food stayed safe in it's paper bag, AS WELL AS refraining from squeezing all the tasty sandwich juices out. Kayla was awesome. I had only been to a Jersey Mike's 1 other time so I was unfamiliar just a bit. I chose my meats and she asked me questions on what I might like on my sub. Very knowledgable with what she does. I was very impressed that the place was so clean and things were in their place. TV was on and many of the guests were watching it which was cool. Mark Anthony and the team at Jersey Mikes (75 East Rivulon, Gilbert AZ) are wonderful. The sandwiches were fresh, i have been to other sub shops where the bread is stale. The store was clean and they were all very attentive to our requests. i would recommend this location. read more

I had points for a free sandwich and the register kept asking for a verification code. The young man helping me was clearly new and asked the manager (young lady with red hair) what to do. She said "she had to go in the app and change the code". The kid and I had no idea what she was talking about. I downloaded the app and he asked her again. She said "it'll tell you just follow the directions" (it did NOT tell us and there were no directions to follow). He asked her again and she snapped saying "it says it on the screen just follow the directions" I had to step in and say "we tried multiple times and nothing is changing and clearly there are no directions to follow" she ignored me when to the young man helping me (who kept apologizing) and acting like he was the dumbest person for not knowing. She was incredibly rude and condescending to both the young man and me. My daughter and husband even commented on how rude she was. I would suggest putting your manager who told a young man that "she runs a tight ship" in some sort of customer service class to teach her to be kind to her workers and customers. I'm so over these young managers thinking they can treat their employees this way. Do better
