    Mini #8 club sub $7.25
    Thomas K.

The only reason this is two stars is because the sandwiches were actually good with crispy bacon and decent bread. We ordered online as we were looking for a quick bite while shutting down the camper for the season. When we got there (at 3:50pm which was right on time) our food was ready but the receipt only showed one sandwich. We asked the guy behind the counter if this was our order because we ordered 2 sandwiches. He said "is there two in there?" We answered yes and he said "well I guess it's yours then". My wife reached in the bag and said "there is nothing hot in here and I ordered a chicken cheese steak". He looked at us again and said "is your name on it?" We answered yes he replied "then it's right". This is the first time we tried this place (we try to stay away from chains) but it was recommended by a neighbor at the campground. We just left with what we hoped was our sandwiches and couldn't believe how insanely small they are when we got back. Almost $20 for basically less than one regular sub if we went local. On a positive, they are tasty. On the negative, the customer service and price is absolutely absurd. Plus they pack the sandwiches with tons of lettuce so they can skip on the meats. We won't go back and we regret not using our local go to sun shop in town or even the other big chain sub place in town.

Reminds us of our previous home in New Jersey because they make their subs with all the oil and vinegar, the Jersey way.

Once I stopped by for breakfast which was the worst thing I've eaten in awhile. The other couple of times the service was so slow. If you are looking to get a fast meal do not stop here.

I was trying to verify the order number and that I ordered carry out and he insisted if I ordered dine in I had to go inside. He wouldn't let me talk, he talked over me and finally YELLED at me to PULL UP TO THE WINDOW AND I'LL HAVE MY MANGER EXPLAIN IT TO YOU!. My granddaughters were like "grandma is everything ok?" I said "sounds like someone is having a bad day. I go inside instead of trying to fix it at the window and make everyone behind me wait. When I get inside the manager finally comes over to me and I show him my order and the PAID receipt on my phone. He told me it looks like you still need to pay for it. I said, no, this is the RECEIPT AND CONFIRMATION I received in my email. I also showed him the confirmation on the app. I verified I was at the right Wendy's and it wasn't my error putting in the wrong address...it was Gettysburg, it was for carry out and it was PAID. The manager handed me a wendy's brown bag and told me to handwrite my order on the bag and he'll give me my food (made me feel like he thought he was giving it to me free). I wrote my order down and he never came back to me to get my order. I finally asked the girl at the register to take it back to him. She kept apologizing. She was the only person there who was nice. It took forever to finally get my food. The manager NEVER came back to me, never apologized. I get computer/app glitches. I wouldn't have had a problem waiting for my food if the guy at the speaker would have said something to the effect "I'm so sorry, I'm not sure why it's not showing on our screen. Would you please come inside so we can figure this out?".... and the manager, I hold him to a higher standard. He should be setting the example and treating the customers a little nicer. I felt horrible - first being yelled at over the speaker and then to be treated like he was giving me my order for free. I have the paid receipt. I have the withdraw from my bank account.

I got the hang of the kiosks and signed up for their reward program. The weather being conducive, I decided to sit outdoors in the enclosed area with a ceiling fan. The tables had food fragments from customers earlier in the day and the ant population got the memo that there was dinner on the ground as well as on the tables. Im not a fan of holding my food in my hands and was excited to see the 2 outdoor hand sanitizers, only to be set up for disappointment when neither of them worked. Fortunately, I brought my own and also loaded up with napkins. The Burrito Supreme was tasty and predictable, but I required 3 Taco Supremes to assuage my hunger. When ordering a drink, they wipe hand you an empty cup fir self service. I had ordered a large Diet Pepsi and helped myself to a refill, although don't know if that is permissible. I just needed liquids to flush down the Diablo hot sauce which id added to my Taco which already had jalapeño peppers on it. Im confident that I'll bevreminded about my decision to add so much hot sauce tomorrow morning. Anyway, the staff were all nice at my visit. There was a poster about the benefits of employment there including tuition assistance, free meals, retirement savings, referral bonuses, etc, so it seems that corporate takes care of its employees which is nice. The meal today filled the yen I had for tacos today, so there's that. The price was commensurate with a meal in a sit down restaurant. I noted a number of out of state license plates in their parking lot, so other people, likely tourists, probably wanted to drop in for some predictable vittles. Oh, the Taco Bell is located right on US Route 30 with easy on andvwasy off access. No unpleassnt surprises here today, but nothing exceptional or even extraordinary either.

My wife and I both had the shrimp baskets and two soft drinks for lunch. The shrimp baskets were $17 each and the soft drinks $3 each. With tax and tips the total bill came to $50. The shrimp were obviously pre-battered and frozen but they were pretty tasty. The french fries had some kind of a nice crispy coating and were excellent. The coleslaw was pretty tired. The service was cordial and quick. The decor is as I remembered very nice. There is free parking behind this restaurant, but not many people know it is there. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because I think that the cost of the luncheon was a little more than it should've been for what we received. Had the shrimp been coated with a batter and fried from scratch (instead of being taken out of a frozen bag) I might've been able to award five stars. But... All in all this restaurant continues to hold its "very good to excellent" reputation for food and service over many years. I would die there again and I would recommend it with no reservations.

We were there on a busy Saturday; they were clearly slammed and probably understaffed, and it took a bit over 20 minutes after ordering to get our food. Other than the wait for the kitchen, the service at the table was very good. It felt a bit pricey at about $62 for two with tip. Cheesesteaks were good but on the small side for $17 and $19 (the latter on a gluten‑free bun), and a little light on the Cheese Whiz. That, plus a cider and a Coke, left the overall experience somewhat underwhelming.
