Recently visited Gettysburg for the Gettysburg Film Festival and found this new gem!!! First of all the location is adorable! It is Kitty Corner from the historic railroad station. The gorgeous decor pays homage to the Monarch butterfly which holds Such significance for the Mexican culture. Then comes the food wow; so much authenticity and savory flavors. Presentation of the food is perfection and nowhere have I seen four tacos (usual standard is 3 and it's never enough)! Four tacos is perfect! The addition of fresh veggies with the addition of carrots was so unique and really breaks up the flavors which make the tacos even better with each bite! In my varied experience in California and the southwest never have I seen corn quesadillas on the menu!! My son loved them and I cannot wait to come back and try them for myself. If I could give this ZERO stars on NEGATIVE stars I would. Steer clear of this place. My wife and I went tonight and the food was inedible, the staff was rude and we were beyond disappointed. Taco Bell would have been better than this poor excuse for a Mexican restaurant. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. If you want to pay top dollar for high school cafeteria food that will make you regret your decisions in life, this is your place. Fabulous tacos!! Volcanes tacos el pastor were incredible! So much food and so fresh! They have every topping and hot sauce available. All homemade! My husband's chicken quesadilla was huge and grilled to perfection. The restaurant (and restrooms) were very, very clean. The lady who waited on us was super friendly. I had tacos Al pastor, the meat little bit dry but love how they put on the plate. Hubby said la mentada was delicious but careful with their spicy sauce. First time here. I ordered the Volcanes with Chicken around 4pm. They were mediocre; very bland, flavorless, even with the green sauce I got. Nothing was fresh. Fast-forward to midnight that night. I had not had anything else to eat after this meal. I proceeded to spend the next 3 hours on the toilet, with my meal coming out of both ends. I had a terrible case of food poisoning. I also suspect that my food was not fresh and some or all of it was not properly stored or kept too long. Here it is about 16 hours later and still don't feel well. You may want to stay away from this place until the health inspector stops by or they read this and revamp their food preparation procedures and post it publicly so you know it's safe. read more

There aren't enough high-praising adjectives to express just how amazing this place is. To start, I'm absolutely addicted to the quesobirrias. I can't get enough of them. Even after I'm full, I want more. Then the guacamole. I have had guacamole in so many different places including some that has been made at the table, and nothing tastes as good or as fresh. Was in Gettysburg from out of town this last week and was checking to find some Mexican food within walking distance of where I was staying. Will say this - GOOD CHOICE OF FOOD! This is a newer business and everybody there was very nice. Ordered the 3 steak tacos and also added an order of guacamole with chips.
