Note: Blessing Restaurant is now located at the Gettysburg Outlets, not on Steinwehr Ave. Delicious authentic Mexican food made fresh to order - what more could you ask for at an outlet food court? I got the chicken tacos with rice and enjoyed every bite. They also have burritos, pupusas, empanadas, flautas, nachos and more! Satisfy all of your Mexican food cravings here! read more

Stopped in for Linner with a party of 8 after the Remembrance Day parade. I ordered the steak CHIMICHANGA A deep fried burrito filled with cheese and your meat choice. Topped with queso, served with rice and pico de gallo. And an order of Queso Dip & Chips Nacho. Both were delicious, fresh, hot and very filling! read more

PROS: staff was friendly, loads of seating, good prices CONS: only street parking and could use a renovation. They also let their kids run around the place OVERALL: not a bad spot to go to, especially if you like Mexican food. Just don't mind the kids read more

The waitress added two desserts to our bill that we never ordered. Make sure you read your receipt!! She took it off but we won't be back .

The address is incorrect. The Steinwehr Diner is here. Address is wrong on other sites also. Tried calling to see where they are, what new address is. They didn't know said something like outlet mall. Sounded like bong gurgles in background. read more

Gotta say, the ONE server they had for dinner service was incredible! Handled the whole restaurant front of house during a dinner rush. About four 4 tops came in within minutes of each other, including ours, and he didn't miss a beat with a smile! To top it off, the food was as authentic and homemade as could be. From the homemade salsa to the specialty teas and drinks, flavor is not lacking. We started with the chips and Pico de Gallo, so fresh! Steak empanadas, chicken taco salad, cheese quesadilla, and Carne tacos - all amazing! The Tamarindo drink is definitely worth a try as well, almost like a sweet tea. Restaurant was clean, tables quickly bussed, bathrooms were also well stocked and maintained. What a great authentic Mexican and Salvadorian spot in the middle of Gettysburg! read more

I was looking for a competent meal that was not astronomically overpriced and feel fortunate to have wandered into Blessing Restaurant. It's nearby the Gettysburg National Military Park and has it's own parking lot. The decor and furnishings are not fancy but they are colourful and have their own charm. The real secrets to this place seem to be the authenticity of the family running it and their food. My server was a young lady who was very eager to please despite an apparently limited facility in English. Specifically I was looking for help choosing between Pupusas and Birria Tacos but, alas, I was unable to successfully communicate my desire. So, on my own I chose the Birria Tacos and was *not* disappointed. After placing my order my server returned quickly with home made nachos and home made salsa. Delicious. Shortly thereafter my tacos arrived and were plentiful, flavourful, and devoured with gusto. My quibble is that I wish the flatwear had a little more heft as I feel this would be a more proper match for the quality of the food. Service was quick and eager and, perhaps, a bit. As such I was not put out when my bill arrived before I'd finished enjoying my meal. I think she was just being efficient and truly not aware of the etiquette breach. The family seems to be Salvadoran and I'm glad they brought their culinary repertoire with them. I hope the restaurant succeeds and the family does well. read more

We have lived in Gettysburg for 8 years, however today was our first visit to Blessings which has been open for 2 years. We visited at about 230PM on a mild March Sunday afternoon , thus we're immediate seated. We received a warm welcome, and prompt, courteous service. The food was truly delicious with generous serving size. The restaurant was quite clean and reasonably priced. I ordered a vegetarian fajita with coconut milk, and were had a tray of nachos and salsa which was delightfully spicey. They have take out and used Doordash and perhaps another delivery agent. We will definitely return. It is much better than the Mexican restaurant on Chambersburg Street in town that starts with an "M" read more

Food was ok. Chimichanga lacking cheese and lettuce. No ground beef option. Taco bowl no ground beef option. Advertised with corn, but none in bowl. No pre meal chips. read more

What a great find. Food was fresh and delicious. Small locally owned place with good service and very friendly.

Went during lunch and was a bit hesitant since there wasn't many people in the place, but they showed us the food was worth trying. Everything came out hot and delicious. The inside reminds me of a diner and there's no alcohol but the food is worth the stay! Got the tacos and guacamole with chips. read more

I was in the Gettysburg area for business and decided to stop here for lunch. Parking was ample on the side of the building, so that was a plus! I love seeing Birria tacos on the menu, but I am mindful that they may be disappointing. The tacos were just OK, I did not like the type or texture of the tortillas. The meat was also lacking in the depth of flavor and the cheese was pretty muted. The beef broth was just OK. I also ordered the hibiscus tea which was refreshing, not pictured. read more

Not knowing what quality a small town restaurant offers I was a little hesitant going in, but I was blown away at how delicious my steak chimichangas was for lunch. I rarely EVER eat a whole meal choosing to bring half home for later. However, it was SO delicious I finished the whole thing! My partner had chorizo empanada and equally enjoyed his meal. Really nice owner. I would go back again and again if I lived the area. Don't hesitate to enjoy the Blessings of this establishment. read more

Fast service, excellent service, and the food is even better than I anticipated. Maybe it was just a slow day but I am stunned it's so quiet in here, it shouldn't be. This is not your typical Tex Mex restaurant. They have tacos, burritos, and fajitas. But there are items on the menu from Central and South America. Pupusas and empanadas are something you don't see everyday. They also make their own tortillas. What does that tell you? Yep, they take pride in their food. We had the chicken enchiladas, empanadas, and a tamale. All our items were outstanding. Sides were good too. They don't serve alcohol but don't let that bother you. Get a Mexican coke, it's made with sugar cane syrup. It's a real treat. They also have their own parking lot beside the restaurant. The only negative it was a bit warm inside. read more

I do not k ow how this has such great reviews. It is mediocre at best. There was only one other couple in the restaurant at 5:00. That should have clued me in. Service was very slow. Food was greasy and bland. Mexican food is not supposed to be either. read more

We were in Gettysburg coming from Arizona we were craving some Mexican food. We shose Blessing because of the name. The prices were okay but we had to buy our chips and salsa. My dish was just enchiladas, okay but bland. I guess you can't expect anything better in Pennsylvania. Next time I will try another place. read more

The food is good here but they did not provide good service tonight. When we walked in 20 mins before closing, the server told us they were out of all steak (and optional ingredient for most of the menu). Ok, we were fine with that. But when we ordered chips and queso, they told us they were out of queso. And then when we said we would just take chips and salsa, they told us they were out of chips. Their queso is very good here and the main reason we came. It's not good service to advertise that you are open until a certain time but then be unable to provide the food you advertised because you wanted to stop making more at some point before closing. At the very least, don't hand people menus and then tell people after they have ordered that you don't have things that are on the menu you just handed out. read more

On a Saturday around 2 PM my family and I decided to try this restaurant while out site seeing. It wasn't that cool in the restaurant either. The temp was doable by a fan. It seemed they only had one waiter/waitress working so we knew service would be slow too and that was fine. There was a language barrier that lead to wrong drinks being served. When ordering our food we had to point to the actual item on the menu. Again, we were hungry and wanted to remain positive. However, before we could settle in we had not one but two roaches crawl up and down our booth. We reported this quickly; paid $9 for our drinks that we may have only taken two sips from. No apologies, nothing. If anything, I think they were puzzled as to why we left. read more

Read about this new restaurant in the Gettysburg Times and decided to give it a try for take out. I ordered the Grilled Carne Asada. Unfortunately I can only give it a C. The three slices of beef were very thin (1/16 of an inch), cooked well done, substantially tough, and not very flavorful. The refried beans and the rice were quite good. The chopped up lettuce and veggies that accompanied the dinner platter were good. My wife ordered the fajita mix (chicken and steak) and she rated it as a "B". Certainly the Mexican food here is not as good as we have found in other Gettysburg got Mexican restaurants. The restaurant also specializes in Salvadorian dishes...To be fair maybe I should try some of the Salvadorian menu items next time to see whether they might be somewhat better. On the plus side the owner? Family member? who was at the register and collected my payment was very personable, friendly, and pleasant to talk to. Also the cleanliness of the restaurant is incredibly improved over the old barbecue/pulled pork restaurant that used to be at this location and all of the staff I saw at the restaurant were wearing face masks. read more

Saw this nice establishment driving by on the battlefield tour bus. We were able to drive back to this spot and really enjoyed a filling dinner. Would like to go back again and try some of the other selections. The pupusa's were read more

Well this is a blessing! We live in an area where restaurants are all Tex-Mex. This restaurant, thank god, is not!!! The decor is much like any other Mexican restaurant I have been in but the similarities end there! The staff is so friendly and I tried my best to speak a little Spanish while ordering. The food.... The food is amazing and authentic. I ordered the Birria Tacos as a dish I had never tired before. Soooo good and so filling! I could not finish! I highly recommend this place and will visit again. read more

I read such good reviews online about this restaurant, so I decided to give it a try at the end of a long, rainy day. Everything we ate was fantastic. The queso was nice and hot and the perfect level of spicy; so was the free salsa. I had the bean and cheese pupusa. It's huge portions, so I could not finish it--but it was absolutely amazing. I'm only in Gettysburg for vacation, but I would love to come to come back often. And the service is just as good as the food! read more

Not open, front door and online hours inaccurate. Walked there in 6 degree weather, only to find the door locked.

What a wonderful place! Super friendly staff, which was wonderful after our long drive. DELICIOUS food. Over charged my card and one burrito took 20 minutes for take away. Restaurant was empty.

The food was 5 stars good, the service, while pleasant, was just absent a lot it seemed. I had 4 tacos: al Pastor, chorizo, steak and carnitas. They were served with a side sauce that worked exceptionally well with all meats. That and a squeeze of lime and a dollop of sour cream and I was enjoying some of the best tacos I have ever had. My wife was thrilled with her griddled burrito also. Very flavorful salsa was served with the chips. read more
