Gotta say, the ONE server they had for dinner service was incredible! Handled the whole restaurant front of house during a dinner rush. About four 4 tops came in within minutes of each other, including ours, and he didn't miss a beat with a smile! To top it off, the food was as authentic and homemade as could be. From the homemade salsa to the specialty teas and drinks, flavor is not lacking. We started with the chips and Pico de Gallo, so fresh! Steak empanadas, chicken taco salad, cheese quesadilla, and Carne tacos - all amazing! The Tamarindo drink is definitely worth a try as well, almost like a sweet tea. Restaurant was clean, tables quickly bussed, bathrooms were also well stocked and maintained. What a great authentic Mexican and Salvadorian spot in the middle of Gettysburg!

I was looking for a competent meal that was not astronomically overpriced and feel fortunate to have wandered into Blessing Restaurant. It's nearby the Gettysburg National Military Park and has it's own parking lot. The decor and furnishings are not fancy but they are colourful and have their own charm. The real secrets to this place seem to be the authenticity of the family running it and their food. My server was a young lady who was very eager to please despite an apparently limited facility in English. Specifically I was looking for help choosing between Pupusas and Birria Tacos but, alas, I was unable to successfully communicate my desire. So, on my own I chose the Birria Tacos and was *not* disappointed. After placing my order my server returned quickly with home made nachos and home made salsa. Delicious. Shortly thereafter my tacos arrived and were plentiful, flavourful, and devoured with gusto. My quibble is that I wish the flatwear had a little more heft as I feel this would be a more proper match for the quality of the food. Service was quick and eager and, perhaps, a bit. As such I was not put out when my bill arrived before I'd finished enjoying my meal. I think she was just being efficient and truly not aware of the etiquette breach. The family seems to be Salvadoran and I'm glad they brought their culinary repertoire with them. I hope the restaurant succeeds and the family does well.

We have lived in Gettysburg for 8 years, however today was our first visit to Blessings which has been open for 2 years. We visited at about 230PM on a mild March Sunday afternoon , thus we're immediate seated. We received a warm welcome, and prompt, courteous service. The food was truly delicious with generous serving size. The restaurant was quite clean and reasonably priced. I ordered a vegetarian fajita with coconut milk, and were had a tray of nachos and salsa which was delightfully spicey. They have take out and used Doordash and perhaps another delivery agent. We will definitely return. It is much better than the Mexican restaurant on Chambersburg Street in town that starts with an "M"

I was in the Gettysburg area for business and decided to stop here for lunch. Parking was ample on the side of the building, so that was a plus! I love seeing Birria tacos on the menu, but I am mindful that they may be disappointing. The tacos were just OK, I did not like the type or texture of the tortillas. The meat was also lacking in the depth of flavor and the cheese was pretty muted. The beef broth was just OK. I also ordered the hibiscus tea which was refreshing, not pictured.

Delicious food, great portions for the price and a really nice staff. We liked it so much, we went 2x. Try their pupusas and birria tacos. TO DIE FOR!

Great local food, amazing and complete flavors that round out this incredible gift of culinary excellence in the community. A must if you're a fan of great food, service, and flavor.

Fresh and well flavored, also clean and friendly, also the only one there, when touristy places in town were crowded. I recommend it.

Very pleasant, inexpensive meal. Deserves more tourist traffic than the 'Murican places across the street.

The ambience is nice and homely, nothing too complicated but more than enough space for a family dinner. Beautiful decorations inside that celebrate El Salvador. Everyone who works there is super sweet and make sure all your needs are met and explain the menu very well. The pupusas are nuts and huge, stuffed to the brim overflowing with cheese and whatever topping you picked. They are so hot and fresh they could sear your lips off genuinely. You watch them cook it fresh on a large stove/ grill and bring it to you in baskets. The cheese they use is salty and delicious and we reallly enjoy the lorroco, jalapeños, and spinach add ins. Don't skip on the sides, their yuca fries are super crispy and thick and I love the crema and plantains. The plantains are almost caramelized and have a decadent sweetness to them that goes so well with the crema. The refried beans are also amazing! Definitely best pupusa spot in Frederick and they are so generous with the stuffing.

I saved the rice and beans afterwards because it was so good. And the Tacos al Carbon were amazing!! Literally the best we've ever had - including at some of the best NY restaurants. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it took almost an hour to get our food. We came New Year's eve for lunch so it became busy, but I wish the management had planned better and not just had one server (later they added a second). Def eat here!

It was right when they had opened so that's the main reason for the little traffic. The decorations were nice and colorful and the music was perfect. It was a good mix of classical and modern day music. Everything was very clean. The food was fresh and delicious. My wife liked the idea that the lengua was cooked then grilled. The ceviche was very fresh. The cheese stayed melted and the "cheese pull" was a 9 out of 10. The steak was perfectly seasoned and super tender. The burrito filling was a good balance and stuffed with meat. This restaurant ensures that the protein out-weighs the veggies and not too many places do that. This was highly awesome and, not to mention, filling. We had a couple of cervesas but they didn't have it in a draft; bottle only. I also ordered the margarita w/ cononita and a passion fruit Mojito. The mojito was freshly made and strong . Just gotta drink it fast because of the paper straw . Overall, I will definitely be coming back for the amazing food... AND THE DRINKS!
