This place has good food, I have eaten here twice now. on Tuesday we ordered pick up. It was a chicken chimichanga and a steak burrito. the only things that was annoying was the cost of everything. It was $60 something dollars for a chimichanga, a burrito, and a side of guac. which they said was the lg size but it was a very small cup. I had also wanted my chimichanga smothered in queso and idr if it had came like that already but I wanted to make sure my husband asked for it when he ordered. Tell me why they poured the cheese into the container and then put my chimichanga on top of the cheese instead of the other way around, they also added another cup of cheese that they charged us for when we didn't even ask for it. It takes no time to explain and confirm a customers order instead of just adding things to peoples bills without consideration for their wallet or preferences. Then these places wanna throw a tip screen in your face after doing the bare minimum, like nah. I just paid $60 for a couple burritos and small cup of guac, take it out of that. Anyway, I'm sure we will be back but now I wont be able to relax and with def be asking more questions and being more specific. read more

Some of the best Mexican food I've had in a while, and in Hanover nonetheless! Very impressed with the burrito tejano, which was seasoned super well, a very large portion, and very affordable. I had an extra meal from my leftovers and I'll definitely be back! Servers were super nice too and the restaurant feels nice to be in. read more

Came here on a whim. Saw it on Yelp, saw the menu, and figured it had to be authentic. Let's just say it didn't disappoint. The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall on the corner of Baltimore street in Hanover. The exterior is very unassuming. You walk in, and there's a bunch tables... seat yourself. But the food. Oh, the food. It tastes like abuelita is cooking everything fresh in the kitchen. The portions are huge; the meat is seasoned perfectly. For clarification, I just moved to Hanover from San Antonio and I'm telling you the flavors of the nachos alone were so reminiscent of some of the most authentic Mexican food I had in Texas and I had a lot of it! . Huge portions! I thought I would start with the Nachos Supreme as an appetizer and then get a steak burrito for dinner. I barely made it through half of the nachos before I was stuffed. They do a bang-up business with both dine-in and lots of carryout so that's always an option as well but I definitely recommend spending some time with the menu because it's quite extensive for a Mexican menu (Yes, it's 18 pages long so bring some beer {BYOB} and take your time!) My wife and I tried this restaurant for lunch about a week ago when we were in Hanover on a Monday. It's located in a building that used to be an old store that sold newspapers and I'm not sure what else. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The decor is decidedly Mexican, festive with bright colors. We were served complementary chips and salsa. The salsa was a yellowish color (instead of red) which I'm not used to but it was delicious. We also ordered a cheese dip with chips, which was very good, but not my favorite... I should have ordered a spicy queso dip if they even have one? I like spicy dip, so I actually mixed the cheese dip with the salsa and it made it nice and spicy. We decided to split a fajita platter that had shrimp, chicken, and steak. I wish I had taken a picture because it looked as good as it tasted. The flavor, the texture, and the tenderness of the steak was outstanding. My wife had an unsweetened, iced tea and I had Diet Coke (I always appreciate restaurants that have Coke products!) The service, and the serving time was quite good. There are quite a few Mexican restaurants in Hanover that we have tried, but we now like this one much better than all the rest. We will be back. Try it... You'll like it! read more

I had complimentary chips and salsa (yellow/orange), and the Fajita Burrito, carnitas, with rice & RF beans (added lettuce and tomato), served with another salsa in pitcher. Everything was delicious and seemed authentic. The flavor of the carnitas was very good. I got the Tres Leches cake to go, and it was good but not great. Ok I will break the mold of the 5 star reviews. I like the place. They just had a big turn on tables so can't judge but I thought it took a little longer for our food to come out after we ordered. But I will save that for the next visit. The did a great job on the remodel. The place was cozy. I did think the menu was lengthy but they had a vast selection. Food was awful. Felt like highway robbery with what was served. I had never seen brown salsa in my life until served here. Tortillas had the weirdest taste to them (ammonia??). Rice was overcooked and bland. Literally dumped a bag of cheese (also weird tasting) on the enchiladas. I have never had worse Mexican food and I am taking so much time out of my life to review this in an attempt to save as many people from this hoax. I was amazed at the number of high reviews which lead me to try it in the first place. Please stay away! While the atmosphere may seem enticing with the music and few arcade games it does not make up for the questionable food that will be served to you. I should have taken immediate notice when I asked the waitress which meat she would order for a taco and couldn't give her own opinion. After hearing such good things about this place and reading the reviews on Yelp, I decided it was time to give it a try. Got there about 5:45 and there were several other groups there but it wasn't crowded. A server came by pretty quickly and gave us menus and took drink orders. When they arrived, the tea had a terrible taste like it was really old and not fresh at all. I tried to order the enchilada platter which comes with 4 enchiladas. When asked if I could get 2 cheese and 2 beef, I was told no, they all had to be the same kind. I found this unreasonable and chose to not order my own food but decided to share tostadas with a member of our 3 person group. When the food came out, the tostadas were cold. The tostada shell and the meat were both cold. We ordered a side order of rice and beans and they were also disappointing. The rice was lukewarm and very bland. The beans were not beans at all but a runny liquid that appeared to be beans that had come out of a blender. The other dish of our group was chicken and peppers which was also bland with dried out and overcooked chicken. In all honesty, this dish had the taste and texture of food that had been previously cooked and then microwaved. In addition to poor quality food, the service was lacking. No one ever came by to check on us or to see how we liked the food. Finally, the prices were higher than I would have expected. A first and last visit here for me. read more

Excellent costumer service, so far this is the most authentic flavor in Mexican food I had in Hanover. Husband had carnitas (slow cook pork) moist and flavorful I tried them why not? right; I have tacos Al pastor (marinated pork) with handmade tortillas. If you don't know how handmade tortillas taste like you need to come and try. Kiddos had little libertad chicken and fries enough for two toddlers. My husband's bday happens to be on our visit and we had a complimentary Tres leches cake delicious! But they have it on their menu. The environment was welcoming and loved their decoration. Parking if I'm not wrong there are 3 spots in rear/side of the restaurant and meter parking in front. Liked their Mexico City spot good to take a selfie on your visit. If you live near Hanover, PA, and haven't eaten here, you're missing out of a delicious meal. This was the most amazing Mexican food I've had. The restaurant is unassuming, and we almost missed it, but once we got in there, we weren't disappointed. The service was quick and the staff friendly! They were all smiles and checked on us frequently (but not too much) to be sure everything was OK. The salsa was spicy tomatillo salsa. So fabulous! The mixed fajitas came out sizzling and smoking hot. The tortillas are homemade, so thin and delicate. A large selection of Mexican soft drinks and traditional Mexican beverages. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Hanover. The portions are large, and they make some great homemade sauces to compliment the dishes. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality meal. Go early though on weekend nights. It gets really busy. The only downside is that their grill venting could be better.
