It comes with bacon, turkey, ham, cheese, black olives, and two sauces. When I opened my sandwich, it contained ONLY turkey, black olives, and one sauce. No bacon, no ham, no cheese. For context, I'd spent the night violently throwing up, and this was literally the ONE thing I thought I could stomach. After calling the store and driving 30 minutes back, I expected a simple apology and a replacement sandwich. Instead, I got an unnecessary argument. When I walked in, I was initially so polite. The employee insisted everything on the receipt had been put on my sandwich WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT IT. When I offered to show her the actual sandwich, she continued arguing until I opened it and pointed out everything that was missing. Rather than simply acknowledging the mistake, I was told I was being hostile. Another employee jumped in with the excuse that they were "just teenagers" and that "we're gonna make mistakes." YES, MISTAKES HAPPEN. THAT IS NOT THE POINT. Nobody expects perfection. I expected basic accountability and the sandwich I had ALREADY PAID $15 FOR. Using your age as an excuse to argue with a paying customer instead of owning a mistake is ridiculous. Being a teenager doesn't exempt you from professionalism, and being corrected isn't a personal attack. Welcome to having a job. We all make mistakes; the difference is whether we take accountability or get an attitude when someone points them out. To make matters worse, the possibility of having to PAY for the remake was brought up. Excuse me?! Why should I pay a second time because the first sandwich was made incorrectly? I wasn't asking for free food or special treatment. I was asking for what I had already paid for. I work with people myself, and I cannot imagine treating someone this way over a mistake that could have been resolved in minutes with an apology and a properly made sandwich. Instead, the employees made the situation about their feelings and my supposed attitude rather than the actual problem. The sandwich was eventually remade, but that doesn't erase the experience. I drove an hour round-trip to correct an order I didn't make incorrectly, while already feeling sick, and somehow ended up being treated like I was the inconvenience. THE MISTAKE WAS FORGIVABLE. THE EGOS AND ATTITUDES WERE NOT. I'm not leaving this review because someone made an honest mistake. I'm leaving it because of how I was treated when I gave the store an opportunity to make things right. There is a HUGE difference between making a mistake and refusing to take accountability for it. Management seriously needs to address customer service at this location. Customers shouldn't have to argue to get an incorrect order fixed, and employees shouldn't make customers feel like the villains for expecting to receive what they paid for. I've been going to Subway since childhood, but this experience has genuinely made me reconsider returning to this location. A little humility, accountability, and basic respect would go a long way.
