Jersey Mike's subs are among the very best despite them being a chain. They slice the meats and cheese as they prepare you order. This particular location consistently has great service. I've tried a number of their subs, but my favorite is the Mini #13 The Original Italian - "Mike's Way", with the addition of sliced green peppers, banana peppers, and the "Juice" (oil and vinegar) on the side. I always get the juice on the side to keep the sub from getting soggy and dripping all over everything!

Jersey Mikes is my favorite sub chain. This one tends to miss more than most, though. We've ran into long waits, the mobile orders take a while, and often the orders are wrong. Last night we had a to go mobile order...unfortunately they skipped the rosemary parm part of the order and gave us plain white bread.

The GOAT of all subs is jersey mikes. It's expensive but it's worth it and you're getting what you pay for. I always get the Italian. This location was friendly and clean !

Fast & friendly service. Folks got mini #8 Mikes Way. They loaded them with meats & toppings. I got a #17 add jalapeños. Super fresh bread. Sorta pricey even with a free Philly with points. Wish i could stay longer in NC to decompress for deployment & eat at delicious local owned joints like JM. I'm a fan.

Look - it's a pricey but tasty sandwich. If you want a giant sandwich be ready to pay. I had the California Chicken Philly tonight and it was awesome. You definitely get what you pay for. Sure you can go to Subway - in fact you can see one from the parking lot. But if you want your meat grilled and a portion that matches a sandwich then you come here. I have never been disappointed. The crew here is solid and friendly - the location is clean and quiet. The food just tastes better - so come here in confidence. My wife had the meatball sandwich and couldn't even Finish half of a regular - you know because of it being full of real meat.

(4.25) O'Brien's is the kind of classic deli every city…read moreshould have. It's a small space - a few tables inside and a few tables out - but don't let that or the line you are likely to encounter deter you. They crank out sandwiches quickly here. Said sandwiches include about two dozen hot and cold offerings as well as the ability to build your own. The meats are Boar's Head, but the desserts and soups are made fresh in-house. Check out the display case for salads and sides that might catch your eye. O'Brien's prides itself on its Reuben, and so I went with the "mini" version (a quarter rather than a half pound of meat) with a pickle for my first visit here. Ordering at the register was a breeze, and I was fortunate enough to snag one of the tables for dine-in. Though I was a bit skeptical that the Reuben would match the hype, it delivered. I don't know that it is without a doubt the best version I've had, but it is definitely up there. The grilled rye was nice and crisp, and I appreciated that they used both mustard and Russian dressing. That, plus the meat, kraut, and melty cheese, made for a very satisfying bite. At $10, the sandwich proved a good value, too. Unpretentious and nostalgically comforting (for Northern transplants, at least), O'Brien's is a well-oiled sandwich-slinging machine. Though that Reuben will be hard to top, I look forward to giving one of their other offerings (maybe a Cuban, maybe a Spicy Italian) a try.

It was hot and delicious although I felt the tortilla wrap was a little stiff like maybe they didn't warm it before adding the ingredients. My husband got an Italian Hoagie. He had them take off the 1000 Island and add mayo instead. He enjoyed it a lot. We also got a side of Onion Rings to share. The first thing we noticed was how dark in color they were and also the abundance of seasoning. My husband took a bite of one and immediately started coughing because of the super salty flavor of them. Having a long history in the restaurant business, we could tell they were re-fried and obviously re-seasoned. He returned them to the counter where they gave us a fresh batch without a problem. The new ones were visibly much better however, as long time customers of TJ's we noticed how much thicker the breading was than it used to be. I was disappointed the batter was so prominent I couldn't really taste the onion. I think they either changed their breading or changed the way they bread them. I wasn't a fan though so I will hesitate to order any breaded items from now on. The dining room, as always was bright and clean bustling with customers eating lunch. The service is nothing but friendly there every time we visit as well. I will continue to frequent TJ's Deli.

This is one of the only homemade ice cream spots in Winston Salem. It truly tastes delicious. The ice cream here is made from local cow's milk and sometimes local flavors. It is so creamy. It's also affordable. A single scoop on a cone is $3.74. Only $0.50 for a waffle cone and $0.25 for sprinkles. The scoops are also very generous! Yummy ice cream for me and two kids for less than $20 is a steal. They also make Italian ice. There's a small table inside the parlor that can get pretty cramped. Luckily there's another table and benches directly outside the ice cream door. An additional enclosed patio seating area is a short walk down the sidewalk. Apparently you can buy fresh farm eggs and local coffee here too!

It's right near Tanglewood Park in the corner of the shopping center across the street. I went in was greeted quickly the lady behind the counter was friendly so that was good. I'm pretty sure I was one of their first customers of the day but everything came out pretty fast. I got a plate of brisket with Mac and Cheese as well as fried okra (they give you a piece of cornbread as well). In about 5 minutes everything was ready got some extra bbq sauce and everything seemed pretty smooth. I decided to take a look at it everything before I drove and do a small sample test but wasn't quite what I expected. The brisket was a bit dry to my liking but some pieces were pretty good so I would say it was above average but I've some brisket around the area that was a bit better. The okra was lacking flavor it was fried perfectly but I didn't really taste any type of seasoning. With the right seasoning the okra would've been a 10/10! The Mac and Cheese was a bit different than what I'm used to it was cheesy but I wasn't a fan in all honesty. The cornbread was fire! Very easy 10/10 for me. Overall though it was okay I'd go back but would try something different for sure. If you're around Clemmons I'd still check the place out.
