He also informed me that he was homeless. I asked him how I could help. He did not ask for money. He only asked that I would buy him some food. He specifically requested a chicken waffle sandwich. I told him that I would be happy to buy the sandwich for him, and he waited outside on the patio. When I went back into the restaurant and placed the order, the server, Kyon, specifically requested what sauce I wanted on the sandwich. I told him that I had no special request as I was ordering the sandwich for a gentleman who was outside on the patio, who reported being homeless and out of work. Kyon refused to accept payment from me. he said the sandwich would be free for this man., I was greatly impressed by this young man's kindness and empathy toward this poor, suffering, homeless man and his gesture renewed my belief in the essential goodness of others.
